"And
God said, Let the waters bring fourth abundantly the moving creature that hath
life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of
heaven. And God created whales, and every living creature that moveth,
which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged
fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
And God blessed them saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in
the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the
morning were the fifth day. And God said, Let the earth bring forth the
living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the
earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth
after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon
the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them
have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over
the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth
upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of man
God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed
them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and [fill] the
earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the
fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon
the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to
you it shall be for meat.
And to every beast of the earth,
and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was
so" (Genesis 1:20-30).
From two sources were the animals
created; from out of the water, the fowl of the air and water dwelling
creatures were created, but from out of the earth, all other creatures were
made, including man.
The first mandate that God gave to
all his creatures was that they would be fruitful and multiply, each after
their own kind, which they did, just as the plants and trees created two
days before them were made to reproduce after their own kind (Gen.
1:12). That is why, contrary to what self-professed experts and
media would have us believe and what is propagated within our entertainment
industry, all plants, animals, and people reproduce after their own
kind. Roses produce roses, dogs produce dogs, monkeys produce monkeys,
and people produce people. There may be variations within each kind (for
example, men of various shades of skin and hair color, dogs of various sizes,
breeds, hair length and color, etc.) but nonetheless are what they are and from
which no other type of creature different from its parents can ever come
forth. It is a biological impossibility. Apes have never given
birth to anything other than apes and they never will. They will always
produce apes. People have never nor will ever give birth to any other
being than themselves. Man has always begotten man and always will.
The same goes for all other forms of life.
But man was given a mandate that was given to no other form of life. Man was commanded to tame the earth and assume dominion over all the earth. (Gen. 1:28) The light to illuminate, the waters being the foundation of all life, the plants for food for both man and beast (Gen. 1:29-30) and to beautify the landscape, and the beasts for the enjoyment of and service to man. And who was man created for?
If you ask the mainstream academics and scientists, they cannot tell you what role in the so-called circle of life that man plays, but the Bible says that man, like all the rest of creation was created for the glory of the Lord and for His good pleasure. But God created man in a way that He did not create everything else. He created man (male and female) (Gen. 1:27) in His image.
There was to be a relationship between God and man that has not been shared by any other living thing. But that fellowship between God and man, ever since the sin of Adam which took place when He had eaten from a certain tree fruit which he was commanded by God not to eat from, has been broken. God no longer walks among men as He once did with Adam and Eve in the garden. His Spirit is in the earth and reaching out to a lost world, calling on them to repent of their sins and to place their trust in the one who can redeem them from their iniquities that they might avoid the terrible and everlasting judgment they will otherwise face.
For mercy, forgiveness of sins, redemption from judgment, and reconciliation with God have been provided by Christ Jesus who died for our sins and rose from the dead so that anyone calling on Him for salvation will be forgiven of their sins and saved from eternal damnation and just as He by His resurrection overcame death, the grave, and hell itself, we also have that hope in us as well who believe on the Lord for salvation.
