Mark
Meghan is a columnist for a conservative publication called Trending Right Wing. He is not a follower of Q nor does he believe
that there a “Q plan” being conducted by rightful President Donald Trump but at
least, he does not think that QAnons are evil or have any desire to harm
anyone, but he claims that the movement consists mainly of autistics and others
suffering from similar developmental disorders who are being exploited. [1]
It is not, nor has it ever been my intent to defend or discredit Q. Contender’s Edge has always maintained a neutral stance on the matter as the blogsite is committed to testing all things as commanded in scripture (1 Thess. 5:21) and admonishes all readers to do the same.
I have spent enough time interacting with Q Anons to know that they are generally good people, many of them godly and who love the Lord, and the movement does not strike me as one that consists of people suffering from any kind of developmental affliction. Some of them happen to be well-educated people.
That
vulnerable people can be exploited cannot be denied but it isn’t just
developmentally afflicted people who can be exploited, but anyone who is lacking
discretion which is why it is vitally important for all people to use discretion
and discernment pertaining to anything that we might read or hear; taking the
time to, with all fairness, to weigh the facts and information on a matter from
all sides involved so that we will be better able to come up with an informed conclusion
upon which to base informed choices.
We cannot just blindly buy into everything we read and hear, regardless of what source or side of the aisle it is coming from, and no matter how respectable and insightful that source may be, because there is a lot of misleading information by which many are deceived and having their worldview shaped by the lies and partial truths thereof.
One thing that we should all be able to agree with the Q Anon movement on is that we verify the information that we receive be it coming from a religious organization, academic institution, media outlet, SM platform, or any given figure of influence and authority instead of placing blind unquestioning trust in what we are being told and taught.
I have not had time to examine all the evidence pertaining to the integrity of the election results, but from what I have examined, I personally believe that the election was stolen and that Trump is the rightful President and will continue to be regarded as such and while it would be nice to see a turn of events that would restore Trump to his rightful place in the White House, it would be foolhardy for anyone to wait around for something to happen in our favor and place unquestioning trust in uncertain things. It is not solely up to our trusted institutions, leaders, influencers, law enforcement, or even the military to maintain our freedoms and way of life. Every citizen of a free and open society has a responsibility to do what they can on their part to maintain the way of life they enjoy and the liberties they hold dear but unfortunately, aside from casting a vote for the political candidates whose platform is as like—minded with our political, religious, and moral beliefs as we can possibly find, most do not know what their respective role is and take the blessings bestowed upon this nation for granted.
Instead, we have blindly trusted that the institutions that have been established and the governing authorities who have been placed in power over us will maintain order and security, keep the peace, swiftly administer justice, uphold our God-given rights, not hinder our pursuit of prosperity, and look out for the public interest and dismissing any notion that they could ever be so corrupt that they refuse to self-correct.
But the sad truth is, is that no institution, governing authority, leader, or influencer is immune from error, corruption, or evil regardless of how honorable and respectable they may seem which is why we cannot full unquestioning confidence in them to do that which they were designed and raised up to do on behalf of our interests and that of the nation.
Many of our governing authorities oppress, violate our civil liberties, refuse to uphold the rule of law, commit injustice, serve special interests instead of the people who elected them, make promises that they do not intend to keep, enable and align themselves with evil, and give themselves over to corruption.
Our
media and academic establishments deceive us with lies and partial truths.
Our
SM platforms which advertise themselves as being free speech platforms try to
silence and censor those who challenge their favored narratives.
Our
entertainment industry promotes depravity, immorality, the things of darkness,
and affirms the lies that are spread by our media and academic establishments.
But worst of all, the religious establishment, which is supposed to act as the spiritual and moral conscience of our society has either been silent when it should be making its voice heard against any wickedness and corruption that manifests itself or has given its endorsement to those things that it should be speaking out against and therefore makes itself out to offer nothing different than a non-religious establishment.
Many people may very well recognize and understand that our governing authorities and establishments and figures of influence are not immune to being corrupted and removed from the purpose for which they were raised up but what they are blind to is that governing and influential establishments and figures do not just suddenly become corrupt. The corruption is brought in by the people of whom the institutions that we look to for stability consist and every institution and establishment is built and operated by corruptible people and there are no exceptions to that reality.
That is why our religious and academic institutions, our media, entertainment industry, business sector, and medical establishments must be treated with every bit as much scrutiny as any political figure because if you cannot fully trust a political figure, then you cannot fully trust anyone because each and every person is just as subject to corruption as any politician.
With all due respect to the QAnon movement, we cannot place our hope in the military to set things right for us and restore the rightful President back in the White House. Even Sidney Powell, who has been known to be aligned with the QAnon movement, warned that we cannot place our full faith in the military since the Deep State has also infiltrated the military leadership as well. [2]
While granted there may be some within our military who may sympathize and align themselves with us, I fear that many of them are under the influence of the anti-Christ spirit and will side with our enemies. I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong on that point, but I fear that I may be right.
The
present state of our leadership within the civic arena and even in within the
ranks of our military forces is but the end result of what we as a people and
nation have become.
The greatest and most impactful changes and influence on the course of a nation do not take place from the top down. It must take place from the bottom up.
We
cannot depend upon every desired policy change to immediately take place at the
national level. We need to begin at the
state level and I believe that in many cases we are already beginning to see the
value of that. And what policy changes
we do not succeed at seeing implemented at the state level will have to be done
at the local level.
I
would venture to say that there are still many of us who believe that a nation
is made most prosperous by a strong private sector with minimal government regulation
and a low tax-rate.
We
want a reliable law enforcement which will maintain order and peace and which
is able to retain public confidence.
We
want justice to be administered swiftly.
We
want our governing authorities to be transparent, minimize corruption within
their ranks as much as it is possible, enact policies that serve the public
interest without partiality, and uphold the freedoms and liberties we hold
dear.
We
want a nation safe and secure from external hostile forces but we should also
want to see the enemies among us purge from our midst.
We
want free elections with honest and trustworthy results.
But not only must there be policy changes for the better in our civic sector, there are sectors of influence that need to be transformed as well because what takes place in those sectors can and will eventually affect government policy.
We
should all desire a business sector that does not cheat its patrons or exploit and
abuse its workers.
We
should desire academic establishments that educate with as little bias and indoctrination
as possible and be able to choose for ourselves and children the kind of
education that we deem appropriate and as like-minded with our respective
faith, values, and creed as we can possibly find and which do not seek to undermine
the values we instill in our children.
We
need media outlets that give us accurate and truthful information and which
have given themselves to no other agenda except to simply inform us as to what
is going on in our respective communities, states, nation, and the world.
And we should desire entertainment that is not steeped in depravity and darkness but is uplifting and reflects everything that we hold dear and believe in.
When deciding as to who we want to govern our society and decide policy, we need to think not so much in terms of what political party they are affiliated with, but we need to be thinking in terms of what policy decisions we would make and attempt enact if we were holding public office and then find the candidates whose policy platforms are as like-minded with what we would do as we can find at every level of government and do whatever we can to support those candidates, get them elected, and retain them in their office for as long as they are showing an honest effort to make the policy changes we seek a reality and hold them to their campaign promises through petitioning them whether it be by via e-mail, writing letters, and signing petitions.
And if even if your local leadership, Congressman, or Senator happens to be at odds with your political, religious, moral, and philosophical leanings, still give them an opportunity to do that which is right and in the interests of all people even if you know that they likely will not.
But we need to go much further and deeper than just a change in our politics because state and nature of the political arena is a product of the culture and our culture is shaped by academia, the media, the business sector, and the entertainment industry which in turn are all shaped and influenced by the religious and moral system that we as a people have adopted.
If we desire to see changes for the better in our politics and in every sector of society that has a hand in directing the course of our nation, then the change has to begin with us because if we ourselves are not willing to change, then any political gains we achieve will no doubt be short-lived.
We complain about the dishonesty of the media and academia, the depravity of our entertainment industry, and the corruption within our governing institutions, and place all of our hopes on some deliverer to make everything right when in truth, we need to be examining our own selves; our own character, what it is that we believe in, what we are aligned with, endorse and why we do so, and what is really influencing the choices and decisions that we make in our every-day life.
The
institutions in which we have placed our trust to serve the public interest did
not just suddenly become corrupted and removed from their intended purpose, nor
did the people who made themselves a part of these institutions just become
corrupt. The corruption was brought into
once respectable, trusted, and honorable establishments by them who were already
corrupt and wicked to begin with and ever so subtly began to twist those once
good establishments into instruments of evil and what is worse, the good people
within those establishments did not actively challenge the actions of the
corrupters.
Our worst enemies and obstacles have been our own laziness, complacency, cowardice, ignorance, and blind unquestioning misplaced trust in those things subject to error, failure, and corruption rather than in that which is incorruptible and can never fail.
Instead of taking the time to confirm whether or not that which we hear and read are true, we simply allow ourselves to be spoon-fed our education, information, and even our own belief systems by those whom we decide to place unquestioning trust, allowing ourselves to be lied to, deceived, and ultimately led away into the captivity of our minds, hearts, souls, and finally, even into external oppression which begins with a blindness to the truth that sets all men free and upon which true liberty is founded.
We turn a blind indifferent eye to the wickedness and darkness that abound instead of actively confronting it wherever it is found and remain silent when we should be speaking out, and when possible dangers are brought to our attention, we are carelessly dismissive when we should be prudently doing what we can to prepare ourselves for the evil times ahead and when the wickedness of one holding a position of power and influence is exposed, it is met with indifference, denial, and excuses and justification for their evil.
And when we are not giving into laziness and complacency we are giving into cowardice when we find that there is a price that is required of us to set things aright because we have placed our faith in those things that we may be required to relinquish instead of the God who made us and who is able to give rewards grand enough to compensate for the sacrifices and suffering that we may have to endure for the sake of the freedoms that we hold dear.
In
past generations, our military members fought and died to protect our nation
from foreign threats and invasion ruled by powers who would seek to take away
our God-given freedoms, enslave, oppress, and bend us to their will and to give
others around the world an opportunity to enjoy the freedoms that we have been blessed
with and take for granted.
And those who founded our nation risked and gave everything that they had so as ensure that successive generations could enjoy the freedom and prosperity that their efforts set the precedent and paved the way for.
But before even that, there were those who risked their livelihoods, left lands, sold property, were ostracized by their families, were abandoned by they who were friends, spouses, and even their children, faced jail, violence, torture, and even death itself to bring a message of hope and salvation which, when embraced, produces a liberty and freedom from within of which the external liberties that we enjoy have been the result.
They believed that in order for there to be an enjoyment of external liberty, there must first be a liberty that takes place from within each and every person; a liberation from a darkness that resides within each and every one of us and with which we have been born which is produced by an inherently corrupted nature that resides within all of mankind, estranges us from our Maker, and blinds us to His truth which, if embraced, brings us out of darkness and into His light which enlightens us to that which we had been previously blind and ignorant.
This inward darkness is a corruption inherited by all mankind; it is the condition of our present nature and from which manifests the evil we witness in our world and at every level. It is a condition that is called sin and which is present in every person. It is just that it is made manifest in some people than it is in others but if we are ever to have any hope of overcoming the darkness from without, we must first deal with the darkness that is in each and every one of us which requires us to thoroughly examine our own selves and not just our actions or even the words that come out of our mouths, but also the nature of our thoughts, the attitude of our heart, and our motives before the God in whom resides no darkness or corruption but who is pure and holy.
To compare your own goodness and character to that of the God who made us is the most humbling experience you will ever have because you then discover that your goodness falls short of the moral perfection of the God who made us but it isn’t just your goodness that falls short of the glory of God, but that of all people; granted the goodness of some more than others, but nonetheless, the goodness of all people, even the best of us will never measure up to that of the perfect and Holy God (Rom. 3:23) for though even when we try to do good, we still sin in one way or another be it an inappropriate action or behavior, an unkind and careless word spoken, a harbored impure thought, or wrong motives and it is because sin present within us that our goodness falls short of what God requires our goodness to be and not only is this very humbling because we then realized that in comparison to God, we are not as good as we may have once thought ourselves to be, but it can also be a most terrifying experience when we also come to the realization that all sin must face eventual punishment which will be severe and terrible for those who stand before God in an unredeemed state into which we are all born and have been born into ever since sin had entered into the first man Adam, from whom all of us descend.
Mankind was not created to be in the fallen state that he is in now, nor was the world created to be in the present state that we see today. Before the fall of man, there was no death, decay, nor anything to cause grief, suffering, pain, and turmoil. There was just nothing but perfect unity and fellowship between God and man and perfect harmony between man and nature.
Mankind experienced a liberty greater than any liberty known today. There was just only one thing forbidden him: The fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam and his wife Eve were warned that in the day that they should eat from it, they would surely die. (Gen. 2:16-17) But sadly, man did eat of that fruit and when that happened, sin entered into him and then was passed down to all of mankind because we are all descended from him. And just as he was subject to death because of sin, so are we (Rom. 6:23) and because sin resides in all of us, we all die. (Rom. 5:12)
But worse than even the death of the body, is the separation that sin has caused between us and our Maker because that which is corruptible cannot dwell in the presence of that which is incorruptible.
Sin taints, corrupts, and distorts more than we can comprehend and is also the reason why death has come not only to mankind but to all life due to the curse that came upon the creation because of sin. (Rom. 8:19-22)
Its terrible effects upon everything it touches is the reason why all sin, and they who live therein, will face eventual punishment and will be cut off from the Kingdom of God in which dwells no sin because every sin, no matter how small or great, demands a punishment and that punishment requires death and not just of the body, but also the destruction of the soul that is in sin as well, but God does not desire punishment, but that all people would come to repentance (2 Pet. 3:9) because He delights in showing love and mercy to all of mankind which is why He has provided redemption on our behalf so that we need not face the terrible judgment that awaits those who remain in their sin.
That redemption was paid for by Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior, and Creator when He first came as a man without sin (2 Cor. 5:25, Heb. 4:15) and because He was without sin, He was made the perfect and necessary sacrifice for our sins; the sinless dying for the sinner, and after that, was raised from the dead that we might be made justified in Him. It was on the cross where Christ was crucified that the demanded penalty for sin, being death, was paid for on our behalf and mercy was shown to us by the willingness of Christ to suffer that demanded penalty for all of our sins so that we who place our trust in Him will be saved from what would otherwise be eternal damnation being an everlasting punishment and torment ongoing without relief day or night.
In Christ our souls are cleansed from the stain of sin and reconciliation to our Creator, from whom we were once separated, is made and with that, is a right spirit instilled in us by the indwelling of His Spirit which makes us desire nothing more than to please and honor our God in all things, to live in faithful obedience to Him, and abide in His truth and ways only.
And with the redemption and transformation with our soul, will come the eventual redemption of our bodies when they are changed from the present corruptible state to an incorruptible glorified form in which dwells no sin and which will not grow old, become sick, die, or decay. (1 Cor. 15:51-55, 1 Thess. 4:13-18)
And lastly, creation itself will be liberated from the curse of sin when a new heaven and a new earth in which there is no sin, death, or curse, where dwells nothing to cause grief, suffering, sorrow, or pain, (Rev. 21-22) replaces this present world which shall pass away along with the evil, sin, suffering, turmoil, strife, sorrows, and griefs that are in it because of the curse which shall also be done away with and with it, death itself will be abolished.
But the kingdom of Heaven is not just from without, nor is it merely a world that is to come, but it has also come to indwell the repentant sinner in Christ causing him to be subject to the laws and interests thereof rather than the affairs of this present world which will one day pass away, setting their sights on heavenly gain rather than worldly wealth which when we die, will not follow us. It will be left to another.
Even
if there were a military coup to reinstate our rightful President, and hardline
conservatives were to be in full control of our government, and even if all
Cabal and Deep State members and supporters were to be arrested, tried, and sentenced
to the fullest extent of the law, these things would only be a temporary restraint
and set-back for the dark powers of this world.
The only thing that can save this nation and prolong its days is if enough people were to come to repentance in Christ Jesus and in order for that to happen, enough people in the Church would have to be about the business of the Father which is preaching the Gospel of repentance and attempting to draw souls into His Kingdom.
When one comes to Christ, a number of things should be expected:
1. He turns away from his sin and embraces godliness.
2. He seeks to honor and glorify God in everything that he does.
3. He desires to abide only in the truth of God and reject everything that runs contrary to.
4. He obeys God above all else and walks in His laws and precepts and in nothing else.
5. His priorities become centered around heavenly things rather than worldly things.
6. He fears God more than anything else, knowing that it is before God alone that he must stand when the day of judgment comes.
7. He is willing to give up whatever is required of him for the sake of Christ, trusting that Christ is able to reward him for any sacrifices required of him and that the greater the sacrifice required, the greater the reward.
8. He knows and understands that serving Christ will not always be easy nor is he guaranteed a life free of trouble but trusts that God is able to deliver him from adversity or sustain and help him through it.
9. He has a desire to see others come to repentance as he has done and to see them raised up as faithful servants of Christ just as he has been raised up to be.
The more souls are won over to the Lord, the more His teachings, laws, and precepts will be applied and the more people apply them, the greater the implementation of them that we will see throughout society.
Christ will then become more and more included and honored in all things. It will change the way we live our lives, the basis upon which we choose our relationships including our most significant ones, how we raise and educate our children, the way we do business, the way and manner news is reported, the quality of our entertainment, and the nature of our politics and civic policy.
But in order for hearts and minds to be open to Christ, the lies whereby which blind to the truth of the Gospel must be discredited, unquestioning faith and trust in those things that are inferior to God must be shattered, and hearts that have been hardened to the Gospel must be softened, but the Church must be ready to prepare the ground to be made ready to receive the Gospel message.
There is a spirit that works through the agents of tyranny and oppression. It has many devices by which he holds souls captive, a creed, philosophy, or a series of them upon which his system is being built. He is an experimenter given to change and willing to settle for whatever can gain him the most souls. He may very well promise what may appear to be freedom but instead will only result in captivity.
But there is also a Spirit upon which the virtues of liberty is built. He also has a doctrine and creed upon which true freedom is founded and remains unchanging. It is applicable to all people, nations, tribes, kindreds and tongues and is offered to all without partiality to all no matter their age, gender, skin color, ethnicity, nationality, their past, walk in life, social or economic status.
We need to attack and shatter the foundations upon which the oppression and tyranny we fear are built and replace it with the foundation upon which the liberty that in turn gave birth to this nation was established and not only that, we must continue to maintain that very foundation which is an ongoing responsibility given to each and every one of us according to the status and role that each and every one of us has been called but we will not have a sense of that respective role designed for each and every one of us unless we begin seeking out the very God who created us according to the respective purpose for each and every one of us.
And once that purpose and role is discovered, and that may be different for everyone, it needs to be pursued with all of our might and everything we have. We cannot leave it solely up to the institutions, men of authority, and influential figures in whom we have trusted to bring our nation back to the godly course upon which it was built and once predominantly followed because they may either prove unreliable in that endeavor, and in some cases, even do the opposite of what we are hoping that they will do.
It is up to us, under the power and authority of the God who made us and offers redemption to all in Christ Jesus to take on the role of being the evangelist, the preacher, the informer, the educator, the counselor, edifier, innovator, leader, and if and when necessary, the judge, jury, and executioner but all done in the name and authority of Christ alone who is above all and triumphs over all without fail and not in our own authority, power, or strength which is subject to failure, nor in the authority of any man, institution, or movement which are corruptible and subject to error.
For those of us who know our God, we need to be acting as the spiritual and moral conscience of our society and throughout the world wherever we go and all that we do, support, and align ourselves with and the only way we do that is not by conforming to the ways of this present world which are contrary to the God who made us but by preaching and demonstrating faithful devotion and obedience to the laws of the Lord our God and in doing so we will be showing the world what a redeemed and transformed life in Christ looks like and what true liberty is; liberty from damnation, darkness, and falsehood, despair, and a meaningless existence but a liberty that is also ordered with laws and precepts beneficial to all who live by them and which are not burdensome, but apart from liberty in Christ Jesus there is only chaos and oppression which may give the illusion of freedom but is not freedom.
The
greatest failure of the Church in America and throughout western society for that
matter is that it has neglected its role to be the spiritual and moral
conscience and the voice of reason that it was meant to be.
Unless
there is repentance, America, like all other nations that reject their Maker,
will face eventual judgment but the Church will also be held accountable for
its part as well and will not be left entirely unpunished.
The restoring of America to its former greatness and liberty cannot be dependent upon any political party, branch of civic authority, leader, influential figure, or any media outlet, movement, or any establishment or institution that we have relied on to direct the course of our society and nation.
Our only hope is in a spiritual awakening that draws the nation back to Christ and away from all the wicked and destructive ways that it has embraced and brings the Church back to the authority and sufficiency of the scriptures by which the Gospel of Christ has been delivered and nothing more.
But this spiritual awakening must begin among the people of God before it can draw the lost to repentance for as it be written, judgment must begin in the house of God (1 Pet. 4:17) and this Great Awakening must begin not merely within the four walls of our places of worship and religious organizations, but within the hearts, minds, and souls of each and every one of us.
When that begins, we should then expect the following to take place within the body of Christ:
1. We will be giving ourselves more often to daily prayer because prayer is where all things must begin.
2. We will give ourselves to the daily study of
scripture so that we will be better able to know our the God we serve and the
way of life in which we should abide.
3. We will fellowship with each other more often.
4. We will see many return to the authority of scripture and the purity of the Gospel
5. We will see members being held accountable for their conduct, their way of living, and the doctrines they bring into the Church as there will be a great emphasis on godliness, righteous living, abiding in the truth of Christ and that of the scriptures which deliver His Gospel.
6. We will see unity on matters essential while leaving non-essential matters between each person and God without holding them in contempt.
7. We will see the same standards and judgment
applied to all people regardless of who they are, their past, skin color,
ethnicity, nationality, economic or social status favoring no person above
another just as God favors no person above another.
8. The scriptures will not be subject to any private interpretation but will be treated as a text capable of interpreting itself and they will be taught in their full counsel and we will have leaders and influential people who will be able to explain to us as to how the teaching of scripture applies to us today.
9. We will not concern ourselves with the size
of our congregations, ministries, or church buildings but instead concern
ourselves with winning souls to Christ and making sure that they to whom the
Gospel is preached understand the way to salvation.
10. The things of Heaven will be of greater concern to us than the things of earth.
11. We will be more concerned with storing up
treasures in Heaven than treasures on earth.
12. We will be more concerned with advancing the Kingdom of God rather than building up a kingdom for ourselves on the earth.
13. We will learn to fear God more than man and not be afraid to make whatever sacrifices may be required of us for the Gospel by which we are saved, trusting that the reward that we will receive for the sacrifices we make will be greater than what we may be required to relinquish and suffer on behalf of Christ.
14. We will value the praise of God above the praise of man.
15. We will learn to do all things under the guidance, counsel, power, and authority in Christ rather than our understanding or strength.
16. We will not allow ourselves to be conformed to the things of this world but instead to the mind of Christ.
17. We will not look to any person, historical figure, religious establishment, denomination, or ministry as the epitome of truth and holiness realizing that these are but fellow vessels and servants of God Almighty just as subject to error as we are, but instead, we will learn to aspire to be more and more like Christ every day.
18. We will not take lightly the age-long war between God and Satan, nor underestimate the formidability of our adversary, but instead will be make ourselves ready for his various devices which are many.
19. We will dedicate ourselves to whatever extent that God requires of each of us to be ready to give a defense for our faith and to earnestly contend for the faith so as to keep ourselves and fellow members from being led astray by false doctrines, to prevent the overthrow of faith in our members, and to persuade they who are lost to come to Christ by the discrediting of those doctrines, creeds, and philosophies that may be blinding them to its truth.
20. We will see who among us is really of the Lord and who is not and who is truly willing to serve and follow Christ and who is not. They who are of the Lord and are dedicated to serving and follow Him will remain with us and the pretenders and they who love this present world too much will leave us.
21. We should expect to see opposition from without and within our ranks manifesting itself in various forms and attempts to undermine and even pervert the work of God within our ranks.
22. There will be an intense desire to preach the Gospel to as many as we can reach.
23. We will learn to trust that God will not put us through any testing that we cannot withstand and we will be prepared to face persecution which will come against us in various forms as the scripture warns there will be and that a reward awaits those whose faith remains steadfast in the midst thereof, knowing that ridicule, discrimination, lawsuits, violence, property destruction, prisons, torture, and even loss of life and martyrdom will not be what defeats us but that we will be victorious even in the midst of what appears to be a defeat because we follow a victorious God.
24. We will place our hope in and look forward to, not in the things of this present world but in that better world to come.
And
once that Great Awakening takes place within the body of Christ, only then can
it and will extend from the body of Christ to the lost who have yet to repent
and the more people come to repentance, then the more we will see the teachings
of scripture applied and implemented in our society for the receiving of the Gospel
message in changing the lives of those who come to repentance has also in it
the potential to change an entire people, community, region, state, province,
and even an entire nation for the better and has been proven to do so time and
time again.
If we wish to see a change for the better in our religious and academic establishments, media, entertainment, politics, and every branch of civil authority there must first be a change for the better in our spiritual and moral condition which affect the course of our society and nation at every level from top to bottom and bottom to top.
And if any of you reading this do not know the Lord and yet are disheartened and fearful of the present course of our nation and world, then I invite you to become a part of that much needed change for the better beginning with that much needed change and transformation within your own selves because if you wish to be able to effectively fight the darkness from without, first turn away from the darkness within you and embrace the Savior who is able to forgive all sins and who will make His dwelling within each and every one who asks Him to. Only when you are willing to turn away from your own sin and the darkness dwelling within you and embrace the Savior who is not only able to save the soul but also transform it by way of His own Spirit so that we might be made fit to be servants of the Kingdom of Light and no longer instruments and pawns of the kingdom of darkness for when we begin dedicating ourselves to the things of Heaven and yielding ourselves to faithful service and obedience to the Lord who redeems us from what would otherwise be a terrifying and never-ending judgment, then everything else will fall into place.
If you feel the Spirit of God calling on you to repent of your sins and place all of your faith in the saving work of Jesus Christ alone, but are not sure what to pray, then here is an example of a prayer of repentance one might pray:
"Lord
Jesus I need you.
Amen."
Know that God is not concerned with the words that you use to call upon Him forgiveness, but with the attitude of your heart and if you have, with all sincerity, have asked Christ to forgive you of your sins, placing your trust in Him only for your salvation and in nothing else, then your sins are forgiven and your place in Heaven is certain.
