If America Is Committing Suicide...

If America is committing suicide, [1] it is a suicide that is neither economic or political.  It is a suicide that is spiritual and moral of which the manifested evils are the result those manifested evils being:

1.  A dishonest academic and scientific establishment.

2.  An uncaring medical establishment.

3.  A deceitful media.

4.  A depraved entertainment industry that gives affirmation to evil instead of that which is good and decent.

5.  A private sector that swindles its customers and exploits and mistreats its workers.

6.  Law enforcement that ignores and worse even aids the lawless rather than contains the lawless.

7.  A government at every level that saddles its citizens with oppressive and burdensome laws, regulations, and policies which do not serve the best interests of the people but only the interests of those ruling over them and those whom the powers that be favor, that excuses the wicked while condemning the actions of the just, which refuses to submit themselves to the same standards demanded of its citizens, and tries to suppress anything challenging their favored narratives on any given matter, and attempts to silence any who might dare expose the wickedness and corruption thereof.

8.  And worst of all, a religious establishment, whether it be out of cowardice or selfish interest, instead of serving as the spiritual and moral conscience of the nation, instead has given its endorsement to anything and everything embraced by the culture of the day including those things and persons depraved, vile, and evil.

It is not enough to simply address the symptoms, but rather we must address the source from which they arise and it is both spiritual and moral.  Remove the wicked spirit from which these manifested evils arise, and they will diminish but that evil spirit then must be replaced by our willingness to embrace that good spirit from which good things will arise:

1.  A religious establishment that will serve as the spiritual and moral conscience that it is supposed to be to the nation.

2.  An academic establishment that is honest and encourages its students to pursue truth and to weigh the case and facts presented by every point of view presented rather than dictating to them what to think.

3.  A media that is only interested in reporting facts from all sides of any given matter.

4.  A medical establishment that treats its patients with compassion regardless of their background.

5.  A private sector that deals honestly with its customers, treats its workers with respect, and has regard for their welfare.

6.  An entertainment industry that affirms, promotes, and celebrates everything that is good, noble, honorable, positive, and decent.

7.  Institutions that are dependable, have the best interests of the public at heart, keep their ranks purified, and hold their members accountable for their behavior and conduct.

8.  Law enforcement that maintains order, peace, and safety without partiality and government that commends good and honorable deeds and punishes the wicked for their evil and without partiality, accepting no excuse for wicked deeds, nor holds the innocent in contempt but instead vindicates and exonerates them, and serves the interests of all and not just those of the favored and privileged few, and whose leadership does not subject the populace to abide by a standard that they themselves would not follow.

But in order for that to come about, the people have to embrace the right spirit from whom will come the right precepts, virtues, standards, laws and counsel that will increase the things that are good and diminish those things that are evil.

The founders of our nation, including those who may not have been regarded as the most religious or were shown to be even skeptical of that respective faith, being Christianity, which was the predominant influence in their generation, understood this truth better than many professing Christians today.
For example, Declaration signer and second President of the United States, John Adams stated:

We have no government, armed with power, capable of contending with
human passions, unbridled by morality and religion. [2]

Another founder Benjamin Franklin also confessed:

I believe in one God, the creator of the universe.  That he governs it by his providence.  That he ought to be worshipped.  That the most acceptable service we render to him is doing good to his other children.  That the soul is immortal, and will be treated with justice in another life respecting its conduct in this. [3]

And another founder and signer, Thomas Jefferson, who also served as the third President of the United States, wrote this advice to a child named after him and which is just as applicable to us today:

Adore God; reverence and cherish your parents; love your neighbor as yourself, and your country more than life. Be just; be true; murmur not at the ways of Providence—and the life into which you have entered will be one of eternal and ineffable bliss. [4]

And there are many others from that era who could be cited; many morally sound and godly figures and yet even the least religious of the day might appear more godly and devout than many professing Christians and religious leaders of this generation.

And yet we have counted irrelevant those very virtues and principles that guided not just the course of their politics but every aspect of their lives; those principles, laws, and precepts that cannot have come from man, but from a moral law giver who is not a man, but is high above every man and whose ways and thoughts are superior to that which could ever come from any man (Is.  ) for it is this moral law giver who is the definer and declarer of what is right and wrong, good and evil and it is from Him from which all truth comes forth because it is by His hand the heavens, the earth, and all that is them were created and it is before this God before whom all men must give an account for their deeds and conduct in this life and who judges not just the outward performance of the man but also calls into account the inward man as well and who will one day come to bring judgment upon the evil running rampant in this world and yet to our peril, as one of our day so eloquently noted:

…we've systematically have attempted to remove God
from our schools, our public activities, but then at the moment we have
a calamity we wonder where He was...It's far more than just taking
prayer or Bible reading out of the schools; its the fact that people
sue a city so that we aren't confronted with a manger scene or Christmas carol,
and lawsuits are filed to remove a cross that's a memorial to fallen soldiers.
Churches and Christian owned businesses are told to surrender their values
under the edict of government orders to provide tax funded abortion pills.
We carefully and intentionally stop saying things are sinful and we call them disorders;
sometimes, we even say they're normal, and to get to where we
have to abandon bedrock moral truths… as I see it, we've escorted Him right out of our culture
and we've marched Him off the public square, and then we express
our surprise that a culture without Him actually reflects what it's become. [5]

Is it then any wonder that our children kill each other in our schools?
Or that reason and wisdom have been replaced with madness and foolishness?
Should it be then counted an unprecedented thing that the things that God has called evil are now declared to be good and what God has called good is now being called evil?
Should we then be shocked to find that there is now less of a regard for the life and welfare of our fellow man and the most vulnerable among us and that self-sacrifice is replaced with selfishness and self-preservation, and that love is replaced with hatred, and that there arises divisions amongst those who might otherwise stand arm-in-arm in unity?
Should we then count it an unprecedented thing that lawlessness should increase and that respect for positions of authority is ever decreasing?
Or that lies and deceit abound everywhere, that truth is no longer valued, and is suppressed, that the most sacred of vows are not honored by all, and that promises are made without any intention of keeping them?
Or that corruption and wickedness should be prevalent within those institutions where it ought not be found?
Should it be any surprise to us that we should be ladened with unreasonable, unnecessary, and oppressive measures by those who rule over us or that policies are made to the detriment of the security of this nation and its people, or that the very things and liberties that we have held dear and have even taken for granted should ever come under increasing and more aggressive attacks?
That the actions of the wicked are excused and even endorsed while the deeds of the good, morally upright, and godly are condemned?
Should we really then marvel that acts of immorality, perverseness, and depravity run rampant and are promoted and celebrated along with those who do them?
Or that there is now more pleasure in the things of darkness rather than the things of light, or that there appears to be more evil than good?

We grieve and are angered at the senseless loss of life that takes place at the hands of wicked men as we should.
We are dismayed at the reckless and irresponsible decisions of those governing authorities as ought to be.
We cry out against the pervasive corruption within our leadership as we rightfully ought.
We rage against intrusive, unjust, oppressive, and harmful laws, policies, regulations, and decrees as we rightfully should.
We are infuriated at the lies that are being told to us, the poisoning of the minds of our students, and the manipulative tactics being used against us as we should rightfully be so.
We are outraged at the injustices done against innocent law-biding citizens and the excuses made for the actions of the wicked and we should be.
We are disgusted and repulsed at the depravity being promoted, affirmed, celebrated, and even imposed upon us and we rightfully should be.

But, as it is written, instead of looking to and crying out to the God who is able to deliver us from evil, impart the wisdom and counsel needed for us to be rightly guided, humbling and examining ourselves before Him, submitting ourselves to the spiritual transformation that He requires of us, submitting ourselves to His authority, and conforming our ways, interests, and will to those of His, we have relied on “broken cisterns, that can hold no water,” (Jer. 2:13) in whatever form they may be whether it be in corruptible leadership, errant figures of influence, informers and educators who can lead us astray without intending to, our wealth and resources which are but limited and may not avail us, friends and family who may betray us or prove to be unreliable in our time of need, the faulty wisdom and counsel of this world, false gods and idols in whom there is no power, treacherous entities who want nothing more except to bring us into bondage, misery, and destruction, or even our own strength, power, wisdom, and understanding which can and will fail us at times; ever seeking to rid ourselves of the manifested evils of our day yet do so in vain because we are ever so blind to what gives life to them in the first place but if we would effectively be able to minimize those evils made manifest, we must attack them at their very source which is both spiritual and moral.

If one desires to know what is wrong with a nation or why a man’s life takes a destructive course, one need to look no further than the foundational influences directing the course of that life and the founding principles and doctrine upon which that nation rests for in order for any person or society to be diverted from a bad destructive course, that evil foundation upon which they rest must then be removed and then they must be placed upon a better foundation that will change the course of that life or that nation for the better, but such is a process that is no easy feat and will be met with far more resistance than even the addressing of the manifested symptoms, nor is it a process that can be done overnight for we did not end up in the present condition that we are in overnight and not everything will be resolved in one election cycle.  It may take several.

And even if the likes of the Devil State as we know it were to be dismantled and the likes of George Soros, the Clintons, Bill Gates of Hell, and others like them were to be brought to justice, that still would not solve the problem of evil as there will be other wicked people who will rise up in their places, rebuild, and continue on with where their predecessors left off because the forces of good and evil are spiritual and it is these spiritual unseen forces that ever battle each other for a prevailing influence in our lives and in the course of nations, empires, and kingdoms and it has ever been so ever since a certain spirit which was a covering Cherub who held a position at the throne of the Lord God who made the heavens and the earth was lifted up in his pride and conceit and in his arrogance, sought to make himself equal with God and take for himself those privileges reserved only for the Creator of the universe and not shared with any creation of His, and as a result, lost his position before the throne of God, along with a number of the heavenly host who joined him in his rebellion against God Almighty. (Is. 14:11-21, Ezek. 28:12-19)

Thus began the age-long war between God and Lucifer who became Satan or the Devil who then took his war against God to the universe created for man; a world in which evil had not yet entered nor was death present for sin had not yet entered into the world, nor was there any tumult, misery, suffering, sorrow, grief, or hardship of any kind for the creation had not yet been subjected to a curse.

There was only in it perfect peace and harmony between man, nature, and God who had made all things, but there was set before man, in the form of two trees, a choice between life and death; the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. (Gen. 2:9)

The tree of life would have enabled mankind to live forever. (Gen. 3:22)   But the tree of the knowledge of good and evil would bring only death to man if he ate the fruit thereof. (Gen. 2:16-17, 3:3)   But the adversary of God, in the form of a serpent, caused man to eat of that forbidden fruit which then led to the eventual death of the first man Adam and his wife Eve, (Gen. 3:19) from whom we all descend because in the day that they ate of that forbidden fruit, sin entered into them and from them was sin passed down to all of mankind, causing all to sin which then causes all to die (Rom. 5:12) for death is the wages of all sin. (Rom. 6:23)

Not only did sin bring death to man, but a curse fell upon all of creation because of sin which is why it is written that the entire creation groans and travails in pain (Rom. 8:19-22) and therefore, because of the disobedience of one man and his wife, the world is made subject to the miseries, evils, griefs, sufferings, hardships, and darkness that we know and experience today and worse yet, Satan was made to feel justified in claiming lordship over the kingdoms of the world (Mt. 4:8-9, Lk. 4:6-7) as man’s ability to take dominion over the earth was diminished by sin and it is because of Satan’s claim on the earth that he is called the prince of this world. (Jn. 12:31, 16:11)

The adversary of God and of our souls relentlessly seeks to take and hold as many captive as he can by blinding men to the redeeming truth of God, deceiving multitudes by way of various cleverly devised deceits and falsehoods, suppressing anything that might challenge and discredit his lies in the hearts and minds of men lest they be persuaded of the liberating truth of God and they turn to him and away from the lies and darkness of this sin-cursed, death-stricken, and demon-infested world.

But the day is coming when all sin and all evil will face eventual punishment but that also means they who remain in their sins must also face judgment as well as the taint and poison of sin has corrupted and defiled more than we know for sin is more than just an evil act or an ill-spoken word.  It is that corrupted and perverted condition of our nature that we have all inherited from Adam, influencing our thoughts, emotions, motives, and attitude; all of which will be taken as much into account as our outward performance will be which is why, due to the presence of sin, our goodness, even that of the best of us, falls short of what is required of God in order to escape judgment and enter into His heavenly Kingdom and to be made citizens of that new and better world to come that He has promised us (Rom. 3:23) and when we take time to examine ourselves thoroughly before God Almighty, and not just the outward performance but also the inward man as well, not only will we be most humbled before Him, but also most terrified knowing full well that if we should die in our sin, that we have nothing to look forward to except an everlasting punishment for which all sin, and they who remain therein are destined for because the Lord God Almighty, in His Holiness, cannot allow that where His throne dwells, to be defiled by the sin that has defiled and ruined our world and which has enabled the adversary to claim lordship over the nations, empires, and kingdoms thereof.

But God, in His love and in His mercy for man whom He created, is not willing that any should have perish in eternal damnation (2 Pet. 3:9) but that all would come to repentance and be made glad and joyful before His throne in Heaven and in the new world to come which is why He sent His Son, His only begotten, being Jesus Christ, being without sin (2 Cor. 5:21, Heb. 4:15) to redeem sinful man by taking upon Himself the penalty for our sin by His death upon the cross and His resurrection which makes our faith in Him for our salvation and the forgiveness of sins justified (Rom. 4:25) for it is by the shedding of His blood that the demanded penalty for sin was satisfied and the cries for mercy were met and it is in His resurrection that we, who call upon His name for salvation, are justified in Him.

By His death and resurrection were sin, death, Hell, and the grave conquered which is why by His blood is the stain of sin lifted from our souls and reconciliation to God the Father made and it is by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that we are transformed and made anew in Him, (2 Cor. 5:17) being made eager to know our Lord, to learn and walk in His ways, to abide in His truth, to faithfully and diligently serve Him in accordance to the respective calling and purpose that He has given to each and every one of us, to honor and glorify Him in all things, desiring above all else those honors and rewards that can only come from our King, placing our faith in Him alone for our needs and provision, relying on Him for the wisdom and counsel to rightly guide us in all things, trusting in Him to deliver us from evil, and to sustain us in the face of adversity, standing in His authority and that above all other authorities, and going forth in His power and in His name and in no other power or any other name.

And just as our souls are liberated from eternal damnation by the taking away of our sins, and just as we are transformed spiritually in Christ, so one day, we will be liberated from bodily death itself when these corruptible forms in which we dwell are changed into that which is incorruptible free of sin and exempt from death (1 Cor. 15:51-55, 1 Thess. 4:13-18) and lastly, creation itself will be liberated from the present curse when it is made anew in which there is no sin, no, death, nor any curse, nor any of the evil, griefs, sorrows, adversities, and hardships that exist in this present world (Rev. 21-22) for those things will be done away with and in that new world to come, there will only be light, life, joy, happiness, and peace before the Lord God Almighty who will make His dwelling among men for all things will be brought fully under His authority.

But presently, though he has been declared cast out of this world, (Jn. 12:31) Lucifer is not going quietly and therefore continues to wage his war against God and against the people of God by various temptations, diversions, the sowing of discords amongst those who would otherwise be in unity, the leading astray of many within the Church by way of the introduction of various elaborate false doctrines, attacking the credibility of the Word of God in hopes of overthrowing the faith of many, causing those professors of the faith to get caught up in the things of this life rather than in the things of the world to come, to pursue after worldly riches and wealth rather than treasures in Heaven, to fear men more than God, to retain the favor of men rather than that of the Lord, lulling them into a state of complacency and laziness, demoralizing them through the introduction of hardship and adversity, shaming and manipulating them into silence when they should be speaking out, and bringing against them various persecutions and threats thereof in order to make them cower away from the faithful and diligent service to Christ, working ever so diligently to destroy from within that which he is unable to destroy from without and sadly, he has had great success in doing so because they who are charged with the preservation of truth, godliness, righteousness, all things decent and honorable, and accountability within the ranks of the saints have not been careful to do so but have been lazy and negligent in that task, or worse, have aligned themselves with the things of the present world from which they ought to be set apart and therefore sinful living, which ought to be condemned within the ranks is now tolerated and even celebrated, including those things that ought not be so named among the people of God and not only has wickedness, ungodliness, and corruption infiltrated the ranks of the saints but so has all manner of false doctrine which has spread throughout the body of Christ like a cancer and instead of being set apart from the world as we are commanded, (Rom. 12:1) many have conformed to the ways of this world even to the point that there does not appear to be any difference between them and the unbelievers apart from attending church services on the weekends and holidays thereby rendering much of the Church ineffectual in its mission to persuade as many as can be persuaded to come to Christ in repentance and instead of serving as the solution to the increasing uncertainty, unrest, division, spiritual darkness, and wickedness in the land, many professors of the faith have become a part of that problem and are only exacerbating it rather than serving as the spiritual and moral conscience of the world on behalf of God as they should be.

A return to the Lord God Almighty upon whose laws and whose principles this nation was built will not begin with a celebrity, influential commentator or pundit, a war hero, political leader or even a religious leader, but it must begin within the minds, hearts, and souls of the people of God and then it must take place within each respective congregation of Christ for in order for that long desired, prayed, for, and hoped for Great Awakening to take place, there must first be a reformation within the body Christ:

A Reformation that returns us to confidence in the authority of the divinely inspired scriptures by which we have received the Gospel of Jesus Christ
A Reformation that returns to biblically consistent and sound teaching within the body of Christ.
A Reformation in which the full counsel of scripture is taught and not just selectively and taught in a way so as to help congregants understand how what is being taught is relevant to them and to this day in age.
A Reformation in which biblically sound teaching is vigilantly preserved within the ranks of the saints and vigorously defended from anything that may undermine and challenge confidence therein.
A Reformation in which confidence in the authority of scripture is restored and in which scripture alone is counted sufficient for our doctrine and instruction in all things that it addresses.
A Reformation in which sin within the ranks of the saints is never tolerated or affirmed, but confronted and purged.
A Reformation in which success of a congregation is not measure in the strength of their numbers, but in the measure of their faithfulness and obedience to Christ.
A Reformation in which the fear of God is greater than that of man and His honor and favor are more highly valued than that of this present world.
A Reformation in which the Church learns what it is again to be set apart from the world and not conformed to it.
A Reformation in which the saints know who they are in Christ and what their duties are to Him and to the Kingdom of Heaven.
A Reformation in which hope is placed in the better world to come rather than in the things of this present life.
A Reformation in which the saints are made to set their sites on the wealth that comes from God and not the wealth that is worldly.
A Reformation in which there is unity in all things essential and tolerance is exhibited over non-essential matters.
A Reformation in which the saints include and honor God in all that they do and in every choice they make and do not treat their faith as being just a weekend hobby.
A Reformation in which the saints rely on God as their sole provider in every circumstance, their sustainer during trying times, and the one who is able to deliver them from evil.
A Reformation in which the saints find their purpose in the things of the Lord and not in the things of this present life.
A Reformation that inspires the saints to boldly preach the Gospel to all people everywhere in as often as the opportunity is given.
A Reformation in which the saints are inspired to remain courageous in the face of various forms of persecution.
A Reformation in which the saints are confident that any suffering endured or sacrifice made for the sake of the Gospel and of righteousness will not go unrewarded and their commitment to Christ will be vindicated.
A Reformation in which those who follow Christ will be well prepared to give a sound defense of the faith that they embrace.
A Reformation in which the saints live and act like followers of a victorious Savior.
And a Reformation in which it is clearly understood that we are engaged in a war for the souls of men knowing full well what enemy with whom we are at war, how formidable he is, what resources are at his disposal, and what his devices and strategies are so that we may be better prepared for his attacks against us which are rising in frequency and intensity as the time of the end draws near.

Only then when this reformation takes place might we ever have any hope of witnessing the Great Awakening that we have so longed and prayed for but it is within each individual that this reformation and Great Awakening must begin and once it begins, it can then be taken to entire households, congregations, neighborhoods, communities, states and provinces, and finally, throughout entire nations and it is only when we, as a nation and people embrace once again embrace the God who made us, submit ourselves to His rule, abide in His truth, walk in His ways, and acknowledge Him as the sole definer of what our rights and that the liberties which we hold dear come from Him alone and not from any man, and turn away from all those things which He declares to be evil in His eyes and give ourselves over to that which He has called good in His sight, that we should then see our religious establishments, academic institutions, the media, social media, private sector, entertainment industry, and finally our governing authorities show themselves to be more honorable, trustworthy, capable, and reliable in carrying out the purposeful causes intended by our Creator than not and used more often as a force for good than for evil.

Before every one of us in life, just as there was placed before Adam and Eve, from whom all of humanity descends lies a choice and the choices we make determine not only the course our life takes but also where we may spend our eternity:

Life or death
Light or darkness
Truth or falsehood
Morality or immorality
Godliness or godlessness
Righteousness or unrighteousness
Purity or corruption
Holiness or unholiness
Good or evil
Salvation or damnation
Angels or demons
God or Satan
Heaven or Hell.

What path will you choose today reader?  Will you choose to turn away from your sins and embrace the gift of salvation offered and given graciously to us in Christ Jesus and in gratitude for His forgiveness and love devote yourself to faithful obedience Him and commit yourself to the service of His Kingdom in accordance to whatever capacity that He has called you to serve in or will you harden your heart against His call to repentance and continue taking pleasure in your sin and in the things of darkness unto your own eternal destruction; an everlasting torment from which there is no relief day or night, even though your Creator is not willing that you should have to face such a punishment?

If you sense the Spirit of God calling you to repentance, I would urge you reader to not harden your heart, but for the sake of your own soul, turn away from your sins and call upon the name of Jesus for salvation and forgiveness which is but a simple prayer away:

"Lord Jesus I need you.

I realize that I am a sinner
who has fallen short of the glory of God
and that my goodness falls short
of your standard of Moral perfection.

Please forgive me of all of my sins.
Come into my heart and into my life
to be the Savior and Lord of my life.
Make me into the servant and follower
that you want me to be.
In your name Lord Jesus, I pray.

Amen."

Know that God is not concerned with the words that you use to call upon Him forgiveness, but with the attitude of your heart and if you have, with all sincerity, have asked Christ to forgive you of your sins, placing your trust in Him only for your salvation and in nothing else, then your sins are forgiven and your place in Heaven is certain.
