That Would Help But This Must Be Done

I came across an SM post that contends that we would be a free nation if it were not for “regulations, taxes, permits, prohibitions, inflation, licenses, and restrictions” [1] and with that I would agree:

Getting rid of license requirements, unnecessary regulations, income taxes, and needless prohibitions would make us more free than we are right now, but there is another thing that must be done to make America truly free and which is something that is either overlooked, ignored, ridiculed, or even outright rejected but it is the key to maintaining what we have left of our social, academic, economic, and political freedom and regaining those freedoms that we have already lost, is the freedom from which all others are produced but it is a freedom that is not seen or experienced from without, but only experienced from within and yet the reason why many do not experience this inward freedom is because they don’t know what it is they are enslaved to and even if they do know that not all is well within them, they still are unable to escape that inner captivity and are even told that what they are being held captive to is due to some emotional or psychological disorder attributed to some chemical imbalance and for which they may even be prescribed medications purported to treat and rid them of that inward tyranny, but instead at best only temporarily cover the symptoms of what is causing them but never attack the symptoms at their very source or cause or at worse, do nothing at all or even put the recipient in a worse state than they were before because the inward imbalance or disorder from which they might be seeking escape is produced by a spiritual imbalance or disorder to which all are born enslaved to, whether they realize it or not.

The best way to keep someone in captivity is to make sure that they don’t even know that they are being held captive and by what it is that they are being held captive for once they discover that they are a slave and understand that there is a greater freedom and liberty than what they have been led to believe, they will then want to find a way to break free of those invisible chains and be liberated from that invisible tyranny, just as they will seek to be liberated from the oppression and tyranny that they do witness and experience themselves and the greatest strategy of the oppressor, and not the oppressors that we do see, but rather the ones that we do not see, is to keep men focused and distracted with throwing off of themselves social, academic, economic, and political tyranny while keeping them blind to the cause thereof in the first place.

And please make no mistake: We should do all that we can to acquire and preserve the social, academic, economic, and the political freedoms that we desire and hold dear, but the social, academic, economic, political, and all other seen and experienced tyrannies are but the effects of an unseen tyranny into which we are all born almost since the beginning of time, but in order to understand what this tyranny is, we must first understand what the world was like before we became subject to this unseen and ultimate tyranny; what kind of world it was that we were initially intended to live in.

But the source of the tyranny that we are now under did not have its origins within our world, but rather outside of our world and its source is traced back to a certain spiritual being; more specifically, an angel and covering cherub that had once served at the throne of the God who made both Heaven and earth and all things in them and who is the Maker of those things seen and unseen, of the material and spiritual, of men and angels but this particular angel and cherub was lifted up in pride and thought to make himself equal to the God who made him and claim for himself the glory and worship that belonged to God alone and as a consequence, he and those who sided with him against God were cast from the positions that they had once held in the Kingdom of Heaven (Is. 14:11-21, Ezek. 28:12-19) and after having been cast from their estates, Lucifer, now better known as Satan, crept into the newly formed pristine world in the form of a serpent and offered the first man Adam and the first woman Eve, Adam’s wife, something that they were made to believe would grant them even better things than what they were given already.  The world had once been a place in which dwelt only life, light, peace, and happiness in which existed a perfect harmony between God, man, and nature.

God had already given Adam and Eve dominion over all the earth and over everything in it (Gen. 1:26) and there was nothing withheld from them except for one thing and that was a fruit from a certain tree called the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, having been warned that in the day that they ate thereof, they would surely die (Gen. 2:16-17, 3:3) but Satan falsely assured them that they would not die as they had been warned, but that in the day that they ate the fruit, they would become divine and be given divine wisdom (Gen. 3:4-5) and after they had eaten of that forbidden fruit, instead of becoming more wise and gaining more knowledge, the only thing they had received was the shame of their nakedness (v. 7) and instead of becoming divine, they were reduced to a status inferior to the one in which they were created, and the sentence of death was pronounced upon them as they had been warned (Gen. 3:19) but the consequences of their transgression did not stop with them because the sin that entered into Adam and Eve was then passed down to all of mankind because it is from Adam and Eve from whom all of mankind descend (Rom. 5:12) but the sin that entered into man and into which he is born is not merely bad actions or ill-spoken words, but it is a corruption that resides within all of us; (Mt. 15:11, 17-20) a corruption of human nature itself that produces within us and causes us to do by nature that which is contrary to how God intended for us to be with death being the result for all of us because it is sin that brings forth death (Rom. 6:23) and since all people sin in some form or fashion, all die and because of that fateful transgression committed by Adam and Eve, we are all subject to both a sinful corrupt nature which in turns brings death to us but not only we ourselves but because of sin, all of creation itself is subject to pain and turmoil to this present day (Rom. 8:19-22) which is why the world as we know it is subject to the suffering, pain, turmoil, evil, violence, and destruction that we witness and experience today; all because Adam and Eve were led to believe that they were going to receive even greater things if they ate of that forbidden fruit but instead of receiving better than what they had, they were subjugated to a slavery that they had never anticipated; a slavery to sin and death and not only they themselves but all of mankind as well because we are all born into sin and we are all subject to death and furthermore, the disobedience of Adam and Eve caused the dominion once given to man to be diminished and gave Satan justification to claim lordship over the kingdoms and nations of the world (Mt. 4:8-9, Lk. 4:6-7) which is why he is called the prince of this world (Jn. 12:31, 16:11) and he attained lordship over the kingdoms and nations of the world by a lie and the lie he told Adam and Eve was that they would not die but that if they ate of the fruit forbidden to them, that they would become as gods knowing good from evil and it is this very lie that earned Satan the title of being the father of lies (Jn. 8:44) for it is that very lie that is the first recorded lie ever known to man and it is by this lie that Satan caused man to commit the very transgression that caused sin to enter into him and inwardly corrupt him which then brought upon him the sentence of death, thereby making Satan a murderer (v. 44) and which also brought a curse upon all of creation that has subjugated it to every kind of evil and suffering that there ever has been and ever could be, which is why he is called a destroyer (Jn. 10:10) and by which he stole the dominion from mankind thus making him a thief (Jn. 10:10) and a thief that comes to steal kill and destroy (v. 10) to this very day, but Satan is not just a murderer of our bodies and a destroyer of creation itself, but he is also a destroyer of souls because worst of all, the transgression that Satan caused Adam and Eve to commit has caused everyone to be born estranged from their Creator because of the sin that entered into them and then was inherited by all of us.

So, by a lie the world was made subject to sin, death, the curse, and brought under the dominion of Satan and the lie he told made what he offered to our first two ancestors out to be greater and better than what they already had and when believed and accepted, led them to be reduced to a status and state inferior to that in which they were created and into a bondage, captivity, and tyranny that they had never imagined nor were ever meant to experience:  They tyranny of sin, death, the curse, and Satan who is the author of tyranny beginning with the tyranny of the soul and spirit which, from there, all other forms of oppressions and tyrannies are produced.

And it is the tyranny of the inward corruption within man that causes men to assert their dominance over women instead of simply letting women submit to men out of their love and respect for them causing their wives to become fearful and resentful
It is also that same tyranny that may lead parents to exacerbate their children, raising them not in love but in fear and terror which in turn provokes the children to wrath and resentment.
It is that same tyranny that produces bullies on the playground or in the neighborhood; the need to dominate others weaker than themselves.
It is that same tyranny that may lead businesses and corporations to exploit their employees and consumers which then causes resentment in both against the private sector.
It is that same tyranny that may cause teachers, professors, and seminarians within the halls of academia to crush dissenting opinions in the classroom and lecture halls which then causes the students to fail.
It is that same tyranny that produces within a religious system traditions, doctrines, and laws in the name of that respective faith that go beyond what the original founders of that religious system intended and which causes that respective faith to become odious to its adherents and prospective adherents who are at that point unable to make the distinction between the what the original founders of that respective faith intended and what others after them have made it out to be.
It is also that same tyrannical spirit that leads men to enslave others, nations and empires to seek dominion over others, and which causes governments to subjugate those over whom they rule to economic, social and political tyranny by way of suppressing political opposition, passing decrees and legislation that impoverish their citizens while those in power enrich themselves, to impose laws and regulations upon the populace that serve only the interests of those in power but which bring misery to the citizens, and worst of all, that same tyranny also leads to the suppression of truth which also includes the truth by which we are set free, for if the powers that be suppress that which challenges those very things which they would have their subjects to believe, is it not clear then that such powers maintain their rule with lies?  For those powers built upon truth need not silence a lie because the lie, when challenged by truth, will be seen for what it is and fall on its own merit, but truth is so able to stand on its own merit, that it need not by force or coercion silence anything that challenges it, but that which is built on lies finds it necessary to suppress, even by coercion and force, anything that might discredit the lies upon which it is built for if the lies upon which it is built are discredited, then that which built its power and influence upon lies will come toppling down for it will no longer be able to hold the minds, hearts, and souls of its subjects captive and it is within the mind, heart, and soul that either freedom or tyranny first begin and if tyranny is built on a lie, then it is only truth upon which freedom can be built.

Is it any wonder why it is written that the truth shall make you free? (Jn. 8:32) And what is it that truth that sets us free and what does it set us free from?  The truth that states the God who created us, in His love for us, and in His desire to show us His mercy is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Pet. 3:9) and the Lord God Almighty has provided us with a redemptive solution to save us from that everlasting condemnation that sin subjugates us to and He has provided that solution in the only One who has known no sin and in whom there is no sin and (2 Cor. 5:21, Heb. 4:15) and that is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who came into this world to take away the sins of the world and being without sin, He was able to be that perfect sacrifice (Heb. 7:26-27) needed to take away the sins of the world which He did by the shedding of His blood upon the cross on which He was crucified and after having purchased our redemption by His death, was raised from the dead so that we, by our faith in Him would be justified in Him (Rom. 4:25) so that anyone calling upon His name for the forgiveness of sins may be saved from what would otherwise be an everlasting unrelenting torment in the fires and darkness of Hell (Rom. 10:13) and with the removal of our sins comes reconciliation to our Creator (2 Cor. 5:18) who then comes to make His dwelling inside of us by way of His Holy Spirit which then instills in us a new nature (2 Cor. 5:17) that makes us to no longer desire to follow after selfish and worldly pursuits but after those things that pertain to the Kingdom of Heaven,
to no longer take pleasure in those things that are evil and displeasing in the sight of the Lord, but in that which is good, right, and pleasing in His sight,
to no longer desire to walk in the lies of this present world, but only in the truth that comes from Christ Almighty, (Jn. 14:6) no longer placing our hopes in the things of this present world, but looking forward to that new and better world to come, (Rev. 21-22)
to no longer rely on worldly resources, men, or even our own power, abilities, skills, and wisdom for our needs and provision but upon God who is able to meet all of our needs, (Mt. 6:33) recognizing that the resources of this world and even the people He brings into our lives are but instruments and vessels through which God meets our needs and that the skills, power, knowledge, and wisdom by which we might acquire our provision are provided and instilled in us by God,
to no longer fear what men can do to us, but rather fearing the God before whom we will have to one day give an account for how we lived our lives, (Mt. 10:28)
to no longer look to corruptible institutions within our society for direction and order in our lives but to God who, by His written Word has given us laws and precepts to be applied to our lives and which serve to produce and maintain an ordered life, and who, by His Holy Spirit which comes to dwell within us upon repentance, establishes in our lives a course and direction in our lives to pursue for His glory,
to no longer seek our own glory but the glory of God,
to no longer rally behind corruptible men, but instead behind the incorruptible God in Heaven bearing in mind that those men and women God raises up for our edification are but instruments and servants of His for that respective purpose to which He has called them,
to no longer seek to align ourselves with the things of darkness but only with the things of the light,
to no longer trust in the wisdom of the world but only on the wisdom and knowledge that comes from above, (Jas. 1:5) nor depend on corruptible earthly authorities to swiftly administer justice, but only in the power of God to deliver us from evil.

But the adversary of our souls and liberty fights and still continues to fight against the very Gospel of Jesus Christ by which the soul is cleansed from sin, and by which men are transformed into persons better than what they had been before they came to repentance, and by which men are liberated from what would otherwise be an unimaginable unrelenting punishment filled with nothing more than an ongoing torment from which there is no relief and he does so by blinding men to that truth through various falsehoods, lies, and deceptions, and by hiding and suppressing anything that might lead men to that very truth that sets us free from sin, hell, and eventually death itself, and by hardening hearts.

The author of tyranny does not necessarily depend upon an outright militant confrontation, but instead rather relies on subtlety just as he did in the garden of Eden and before he can conquer politically and economically, it must first achieve intellectual and spiritual victories for before it can change the economics and politics of those he seeks to rule, he must first change their religion and education and in doing so, it takes captive hearts and minds and in doing so, removes all confidence and trust in the established religions, philosophies, principles, doctrines, and creeds in which they once trusted and replace them with a religion and creed of their own making and in the process of doing that, how education is taught is then changed and with that comes change in the manner news is reported, how businesses and corporations operate, what kind of entertainment is produced, how politics are conducted, and how the governing system is shaped.

But as long as there are enough people in the world who have a love for the truth that sets free, Satan will never be able to gain complete control over the all the kingdoms, empires, and nations of the world and because there are enough people throughout the world who seek out and love the truth that sets free, there is a power at work that hinders Satan’s ability to take full control over the world and its inhabitants but there is coming a day when the wickedness of men will reach its measure and when enough people will lose their love for the truth that sets free and it is at that point when the power that hinders the forces of darkness will be taken out of the way and it is in that day that Satan and all who follow him will have complete control over the world (2 Thess. 7-12) and when that day happens, it will be a dark time for the world; the darkest and most terrible time that the earth has ever known because it will be in that day that Satan’s rule over the earth will be made absolute and during his reign of darkness, the judgment of God will be poured out on the entire earth due to the sin and wickedness that is in it and which by that time will have reach a point to where there will be no other remedy except judgment and that will require eliminating from the world all who are in their sins.

But for those of us who have aligned ourselves with God in Christ Jesus, there is a way of escape that is promised to us who place our trust in Him (Rev. 3:10) and when the evil of this present world has reached its measure, just as we have been liberated spiritually from sin, so will also our flesh be liberated from sin when our bodies are changed from forms corruptible and in which corruption dwells into bodies free from corruption and when our bodies are changed into bodies in which there is no sin, we at that moment will also be free from bodily death (1 Cor. 15:51-55, 1 Thess. 4:13-18) and lastly, creation itself will be made free of the curse that came upon it due to sin and Satan’s claimed lordship over the nations and kingdoms of the world will be brought to an end when he is defeated once and for all forever when he and all those who have sided with him receive their final sentenced and are cast into the lake of fire where they will be subject to an everlasting and unrelenting punishment (Rev. 20:10-15) and then creation itself will be made anew and in that new world, there  will be no death, no decay, nor any pain, nor any hardship, no oppression, no misery, no cruelty, no despair, or any grief for all of these things will have passed away with the old corrupted creation, but instead in this new and undefiled creation, there will only be life, light, goodness, happiness, joy, peace, and contentment before the Lord God Almighty. (Rev. 21-22)

If you have not done so already and would like to score a victory against the spirit and author of tyranny, and if you desire peace and assurance about where you will be spending eternity, then I urge you reader to call upon the name our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and pledge yourself to His service.  It is but a simple prayer of repentance away:

"Lord Jesus I need you.

I realize that I am a sinner
who has fallen short of the glory of God
and that my goodness falls short
of your standard of Moral perfection.

Please forgive me of all of my sins.
Come into my heart and into my life
to be the Savior and Lord of my life.
Make me into the servant and follower
that you want me to be.
In your name Lord Jesus, I pray.

Amen."

Know that God is not concerned with the words that you use to call upon Him forgiveness, but with the attitude of your heart and if you have, with all sincerity, have asked Christ to forgive you of your sins, placing your trust in Him only for your salvation and in nothing else, then your sins are forgiven and your place in Heaven is certain.
