In the UK, they have outlawed the teaching of creationism in their government funded schools through parliament. [1]
In the US, they have suppressed creationism within the public schools through the courts, with threats of termination against any teachers or professors who dare teach it, and of failing grades against any students who might be bold enough to challenge the theory and philosophy of evolution.
Were it not for a local young earth creation ministry, I might never have known of the evidences that stand in favor of the Genesis account of creation. Shortly after I had become a follower of Jesus, I began to have some doubts about evolution though I did not know why except that I knew that at least some tenets of it were opposed to my new found faith and it had nothing to do with evidences against it, but something within me was telling me that it was a lie and not long after that, I had picked up a newsletter published by a local young earth creation ministry and when I read their newsletter, any belief that I had in evolution was shattered as what it presented to me had opened my eyes and showed me in no uncertain terms Darwin’s theory of evolution to be the lie that it was and as often as I could, I began to gather as much creationist material as I could and began searching the web for anything I could find on evidences in support of the Genesis account of creation and it was young earth creationism that set me on the path of apologetics (that is, the art of making a case and defense for one’s faith or viewpoint) which has become a passion of mine to this very day; young earth creationism especially. Because of my desire to serve and please my Creator in any way that I could, a mind, heart, and soul were set free from the darkness of Satan and from a corrupt system filled with cunning lies, elaborate deception, and moral corruption.
Call it a culture clash or a clash of worldviews if you would like.
But the clash from which the war between creationism and evolution stem is not one that is scientific or even academic. It is spiritual and it is all part of an age-long spiritual warfare between God who is the Creator of the universe and Satan who would rather that you didn’t believe in the existence of God who made the universe but that everything came about by chance and that over a very long period of time, life evolved from non-life, that from simple-celled organisms arose life forms far more complex, and from one set of lifeforms came other forms of life including man, and he would also rather have us believe that we are no more significant than an ant because if we do not believe in a God who created us, then we are made oblivious to the captivity and spiritual darkness into which we are born and made subject and unaware of the destruction that the adversary of our very lives and souls is leading us into, but not because we have chosen it but because of a consequential choice that was made by our first two ancestors which caused the war between God and Satan which began before the creation of this world to now be a war primarily over the minds, hearts, and souls of men.
light and darkness,
Heaven and Hell,
salvation and damnation,
purity and corruption,
holiness and unholiness,
godliness and ungodliness,
truth and lies and while there is only one truth, the multitudes of lies are many of which Darwinism is just one and every lie told is the product of the father of lies but before he became the father of lies, Satan, who was then called Lucifer, had once served at the throne of God as a covering cherub until in his pride he thought to make himself equal to God and share in the glory and worship that belonged to God alone which resulted in him and all who sided with him to be cast from their positions in Heaven. (Is. 14:11-21, Ezek. 28:12-19)
And it was in that day that this covering cherub became known as Satan and after he and those spirits who had sided with him against God were cast from their positions in Heaven, he then crept into a newly formed world that knew no lies but only truth and in which there had been no evil, no death, no decay, and no pain or any suffering of any kind but only peace, happiness, and contentment and in that world existed a perfect and unhindered and uninterrupted harmony between God, man, and nature until the day that Satan, in the form of a serpent led the first man Adam and the first woman Eve, who was Adam’s wife, into committing a fateful transgression and that transgression which Adam and Eve committed was the eating of a fruit from a certain tree called the tree of the knowledge of good and evil which had been forbidden to them having been warned of God that in the day that they ate that fruit, they would surely die (Gen. 2:16-17, 3:3) but rather than heed the warning that God had given them, they listened to the lies of Satan who falsely assured them that if they ate of that forbidden fruit that they would not die as they had been warned but that instead, they would receive wisdom that they had never had before and even become divine in nature (Gen. 3:4-5) and when they had eaten of that forbidden fruit, instead of receiving the wisdom that the serpent told that they would receive, the only knowledge they received was the shame that came upon their nakedness after they had eaten of that forbidden fruit (Gen. 3:7) and instead of attaining a status superior to the one in which they had been created, they fell to an inferior status and the sentence of death of which they were warned was pronounced upon them to which they eventually succumbed (Gen. 3:19) but the sentence of death did not stop with Adam and Eve for it was sin which entered into them that brought death to them and the sin that entered into them and brought to death to them was then passed down to all of mankind because it is from Adam and Eve all mankind descend and because we are all descended from them, we have also inherited from them the very sin that entered into them (Rom. 5:12) and just as they died because of sin, so we all die because of sin; (Rom. 6:23) sin being defined not by just our actions, behavior, conduct, and what we say, but as the inwardly corrupt condition of our nature that not only influences our outward acts and what we say, but also our very thoughts, motives, and the attitude of the heart which is why it is written that we are not defiled from without but from within (Mt. 5:11, 17-20) but the consequences of the transgression that brought sin into the world and death with it did not confine themselves to man, but spread to all of creation which is why it is written that the entire creation groans and travails in pain to this day (Rom. 8:19-22) which is suffering, pain, misery, and hardship of every sort and severity abound in the world today and why creation itself is dying a very slow death and it was that very lie that Satan told which led Adam and Eve to commit that very fateful transgression that earned him the title of the father of lies (Jn. 8:44) because the lie that he used to lead Adam and Eve into the transgression was the first lie known to man---with many more to follow afterwards---and by that lie he through sin brought death which is why he is also called a murderer (v. 44) and he continues to kill and destroy through sin every day and it is by that lie by which he became the father of lies and a murderer that he diminished the dominion over the earth that had once been given to man (Gen. 1:26) and claimed lordship over the nations, kingdoms, and empires of the earth (Mt. 4:8-9, Lk. 4:6-7) which why he is called the prince of this world (Jn. 12:31, 16:11) and the thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy. (Jn. 10:10)
By a lie did Satan take captive the world and by lies does he retain the world in captivity and it is by lies that oppressors and tyrants take power and in order to retain power, they have to keep the lies by which they obtained power from being discredited because if the lies by which they came to power are exposed and discredited, then their power and influence are gone and so, to retain power, they will routinely suppress the very truth by which their power is broken and anything that might lead those whom they hold captive and oppress to the very truth that sets free. (Jn. 8:32)
When the lies of a spouse are challenged, this may result in abandonment or in some cases, even worse.
When employees dare to challenge the lies and corruption abounding in their workplace, this may result in the loss of benefits, reduced wages, loss of promotions or being passed up for promotions, or even termination.
When students dare to question what they are being taught in schools, they may be threatened with failing grades.
When teachers and professors dare to undo the lies by which their students have been poisoned, they risk losing their jobs.
When a journalist, commentator, or anchorperson in the media has the integrity to set the record straight and tell you things that you would otherwise not know, their careers are on the line.
When someone posts a social media post that challenges an official narrative, they risk being censored and even banned from the platform by SM administrators.
When a celebrity in the entertainment industry refuses to propagate the desired talking points of their masters, they risk being ostracized by their peers, terminated by their managers, and hated by their fans.
And within the halls of government, when any government official or representative dares to confront the deception, corruption, and falsehoods within the political arena, they risk facing a variety of different consequences including threats against their very lives and under the most repressive of circumstances, people risk everything to undo the lies that abound in their respective nation and society, including their very lives.
But even within the church setting, questioning and challenging something that is preached from the pulpit does not come without its consequences either as those doing so risk being held in contempt by church leadership and even being cast of the congregation altogether and while it is already bad enough for the unbelieving world to be deceived, led astray, and held captive by the lies and deceptions that abound, the battle for the souls of men is not confined to the world outside of the Church, but it has also entered into the body of Christ for what the adversary of our souls cannot destroy from without, he will attempt to destroy from within through bringing in lies and false doctrines to lead congregants astray and even away from the faith itself entirely and one of the lies that has spread throughout the body of Christ like a plague is that the Genesis account of creation is a myth or that it is symbolic and allegorical and not an event that actually happened but that God used the process of evolution to create life and many professors of the faith believe this lie in one form or another because they have, and without question it seems, placed their trust in the words of professed experts in science and in order to resolve the conflict between their faith and scientific claims, they place trust in their own understanding and resort in attempting to harmonize the scriptures in which they claim to believe with a philosophy that is diametrically opposed to the testimony of scripture rather than in the wisdom that comes from God to answer those intellectual and academic challenges to their faith and they, like the rest of the world, do not even know what science actually is or what the original intent of science to be and therefore look to it to be an explanation to almost anything and to even tell them about what happened in the past and to even predict was is going to happen in the future but that is not what science was intended for it is only history can tell you what happened in the past and it is prophecy given by divine revelation that tells us what is going to happen in the future but science can only tell us what is taking place in the present but not only have professing Christians been led to believe that they cannot believe the Genesis account of creation to be an event in history, they even aid and abet anti-Christ atheists by criticizing and ridiculing those Christians who have placed their full trust in the authority of scripture in all matters. One notable example of this was when Pat Robertson, of CBN’s 700 club, said that there was no possible way that the earth could be only 6,000 years old but that it had to be millions of years old based upon the many geologic strata and sedimentary layers found all over the earth and the dates assigned to them [2] and even went on to ridicule and castigate those holding to a literal rendering of the Genesis account saying they would have to be “deaf, dumb, and blind” to believe that the Genesis account of creation took place as written in scripture [3] and this is a problem within the Church more common than most realize.
Christianity has fought, still
fights, and will fight science to the desperate end over evolution, because
evolution destroys utterly and finally the very reason Jesus’ earthly life was
supposedly made necessary. Destroy Adam and Eve and the original sin, and in
the rubble you will find the sorry remains of the son of god. Take away the
meaning of his death. If Jesus was not the redeemer that died for our sins, and
this is what evolution means, then Christianity is nothing.
What this all means is that Christianity cannot lose the
Genesis account of creation. [5]
to no longer take pleasure in those things that are evil and displeasing in the sight of the Lord, but in that which is good, right, and pleasing in His sight,
to no longer desire to walk in the lies of this present world, but only in the truth that comes from Christ Almighty, (Jn. 14:6) no longer placing our hopes in the things of this present world, but looking forward to that new and better world to come, (Rev. 21-22)
to no longer rely on worldly resources, men, or even our own power, abilities, skills, and wisdom for our needs and provision but upon God who is able to meet all of our needs, (Mt. 6:25-33) recognizing that the resources of this world and even the people He brings into our lives are but instruments and vessels through which God meets our needs and that the skills, power, knowledge, and wisdom by which we might acquire our provision are provided and instilled in us by God,
to no longer fear what men can do to us, but rather fearing the God before whom we will have to one day give an account for how we lived our lives, (Mt. 10:28)
to no longer look to corruptible institutions within our society for direction and order in our lives but to God who, by His written Word has given us laws and precepts to be applied to our lives and which serve to produce and maintain an ordered life, and who, by His Holy Spirit which comes to dwell within us upon repentance, establishes in our lives a course and direction in our lives to pursue for His glory,
to no longer seek our own glory but the glory of God,
to no longer rally behind corruptible men, but instead behind the incorruptible God in Heaven bearing in mind that those men and women God raises up for our edification are but instruments and servants of His for that respective purpose to which He has called them,
to no longer seek to align ourselves with the things of darkness but only with the things of the light,
to no longer trust in the wisdom of the world but only on the wisdom and knowledge that comes from above, nor depend on corruptible earthly authorities to swiftly administer justice, but only in the power of God to deliver us from evil.
And we look forward to the day that, just as our souls have been redeemed and delivered from eternal damnation, when we shall also be delivered from bodily death when that which is sinful is made sinless and that which is corruptible is transformed into that which is incorruptible (1 Cor. 15:51-55, 1 Thess. 4:13-18) for wherein dwells no sin there is no death and finally, creation itself will also be liberated from the curse that has come upon it because of sin, when Satan who is the adversary of our souls and is that thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy (Jn. 10:10) is given his final sentence and cast into eternal damnation along with all who have sided with him (Rev. 20:10-15) and after that, the creation will then be made anew, and it will be a creation in which there will dwell no death, no decay, no evil, no darkness, no grief, no sorrow, and no misery, and no hardship, but only light, life, happiness, peace, contentment, and joy before the Lord God Almighty for all eternity. (Rev. 21-22)
If you want to be sure that you are on the side of truth and not on the side of lies, then I urge you reader, if you have not done so already, to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus who is the source of all truth for the forgiveness of sins. It is but a sincere prayer of repentance away.
"Lord Jesus I need you.
I realize that I am a sinner
who has fallen short of the glory of God
and that my goodness falls short
of your standard of Moral perfection.
Please forgive me of all of my sins.
Come into my heart and into my life
to be the Savior and Lord of my life.
Make me into the servant and follower
that you want me to be.
In your name Lord Jesus, I pray.
Amen."
Know that God is not concerned with the words that you use to call upon Him forgiveness, but with the attitude of your heart and if you have, with all sincerity, have asked Christ to forgive you of your sins, placing your trust in Him only for your salvation and in nothing else, then your sins are forgiven and your place in Heaven is certain.
