Once To Die Or Multiple Times To Die: An Examination Of Danica Patrick's Past Life Claim

It is appointed unto man once to die and afterwards, judgment (Heb. 9:27) which means there is no such thing as “past lives” but just as God is able to reveal things of both past and future, demons can also do the same thing as they too are capable of gathering and imparting information from various places and time periods as they are able to jump from one person to another and readers, do not think that I am claiming Danica Patrick to be demon possessed (not saying that at all) but what she describes here is what appears to have been an undergoing of an altered state of consciousness which has been known to make the subject susceptible to demonic deception

Regression therapy, while purported to be done with the intent of accessing repressed memories, have also been known to cause, whether intentionally or unintentionally, the implantation of false memories within the patient of events in their lives that never happened which is why Bible believing Christians are strongly opposed to it.

Now in the case of Danica Patrick, the regression therapy session that she underwent, took her back into the past where she believed that she had lived a past life as a native American and what she took from that vision was this:

the message was that I could be killed for doing what I loved and what was meant for me and my passion, or I could die inside anyway [1]

She then went on to apply what she thought the vision meant to her to her audience at a Turning Point USA event:

It might be speaking out, saying something in front of people for the first time that you've never said (before), sharing something about yourself that you've never shared. [2]

And then challenges the crowd: “Are you going to let fear win?” she asks the crowd, and then says “You say no.” [3]

There may be nothing wrong with the truth that she is conveying to her audience as we all need to boldly proclaim truth, challenge and discredit the lies that are being propagated, and to stand against evil which does require some risks on our part and if we are willing to risk backlash and harm to ourselves for doing so, a reward and vindication does await us, but what is being taken issue with is the source by which her vision came and its alleged message.  The source by which the vision came may very well have conveyed some truth, but it also conveyed with that truth a lie and the lie that it conveyed to Danica was not so much the message that she shared with her audience which was basically an encouragement for them to follow their respective dreams and passions and to not give into fear, but it was that she had lived a past life and what Danica should be admonished to question is not the element of truth that came from the vision, but its alleged claim that she had lived a past life when the Bible says that we only die once.

Both the Bible which claims we only die once and Danica’s vision which has led her to believe that we can die more than once cannot both be true as both scripture and the vision that she had received are opposed to one another insofar as what happens after death are concerned and since they disagree on something that is so vitally important and has serious implications for the course of our lives and for even our eternal destination, they both cannot come from the same spiritual source because if they both did, then that source would be divided against itself and as scripture states, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand” (Mt. 12:25) and if that spiritual source is divided against itself, then the universe is in serious trouble, but if the Bible and Danica’s vision are not from the same spiritual source, then that means that there are two spiritual forces opposed to one another with opposing messages.  One is right, the other is wrong.  One is speaking truth, the other is speaking a lie and with which we ultimately side is going to determine not only the course of our lives and our worldview, but it also has serious eternal implications as well and in the case of whether or not we live more than once as Danica has apparently been led to believe, if we have lived past lives, what then should we expect?

We should expect to be able to remember in vivid detail of our past life.
We should expect to remember people we knew and interacted with in that past life.
We should expect to remember the places we had been in that past life.
We should expect to remember significant events of that past life.
We should be able to retain the knowledge and wisdom that we had acquired in that life.
And we should be able to carry experience, skills, and talents that were acquired from that life our present life but we don’t.  We are made to start all over again; a blank slate.  And if indeed we have lived previous life cycles but have no memory of them, then what does that say about the power or powers that decide not only when we are born and when we die, but how many life cycles we go through? What does that say about the attributes of that force in control of that cycle or more importantly, what does that say about its character and nature?

The power that does not allow a soul that has lived a previous life to carry all memories, talents, skills, experience, wisdom, and knowledge into another is either inefficient in His operations, thus suggesting to be a force of limited attributes, or He is at worst unjust and even cruel.

But if, as the Bible says, we only live and die once, then it should be expected that we have no memories of a past life and that anything telling us otherwise and any visions suggesting otherwise should be what is questioned and not the inspired Word of God and what do we typically find with every person who is born into this world? Do they carry memories of them of past lives into it? Or do they have no memories of a prior existence?

Every time a person is born, they show no evidence of having any prior knowledge of anything except their present surroundings much less a prior existence.  They have to be taught how to speak.  They have to taught how to behave, they have to be taught what moral and ethical standards to live by, they have to be taught how to count, do math, read, and write.  They have to be taught life skills we all know are necessary for them to be self-sufficient.

And if Danica Patrick had, as she has claimed, lived a past life, what would we expect to find with her that might not be found with anyone who has not lived a prior life?
We would expect her to carry with her prior knowledge from that past life including a prior education, prior skills, prior talents, and even a prior language and dialect different from the language that she speaks today; things that she would already know from the first day of her life without anyone having to teach her.

But, based on observational evidence, that is not what we find and I’m sure before she underwent that regression therapy session by which the vision came to her, she probably never gave so much as a thought about living a prior life.

Beforehand, as far as she was concerned, this life is the only one she was living, and as far as observational evidence is concerned, everything she has known, learned, and has been taught, every talent and skill instilled in her, and all wisdom and knowledge that she has acquired has not come from any other existence except the one that she is living now.

And if we should compare which the observational evidence would favor more (the Bible passage that states that we only die once or Danica’s vision which she says told her that she had lived and died once already) then I would have to say that observational evidence would favor scripture over Danica and we would have to conclude, based on that observational evidence that we only live one life and after that, we die and after death, there is only one of two destinations where we will end up and that will either be Heaven or Hell which will be determined by what manner of life that we have lived.

But then, how do we explain Danica’s vision? If it is telling her that she lived a past life, that does not seem to fit the observational evidence that suggests that we only live one life and based upon that observational evidence, we have to conclude that either she received that vision by way of a lying spirit or she is the victim of a huge cosmic joke and has been subjected to an injustice because she was not able to carry everything about her past life into this present one because if she had been able to carry everything about that past life back with her, it would make her much more enhanced in skill, knowledge, experience, and wisdom than she is right now and because her memory was wiped clean, she won’t be getting any closer to the sky; she’s been knocked down a few steps and what is even worse, when she dies again, she may not be able to carry the memories of this present life into her next one and so she will be trapped in this endless cycle of birth, death, and rebirth indefinitely and not to mention, her next life could be one in which she is not dealt as good of a hand as she was in her present life but no matter what the nature of her next life, she will be condemned to a cycle filled with the griefs, sorrows, disappointments, hardships, and miseries that abound in this world no matter what it is she does in each life time and I am not so sure if she has even taken time to think about the ramifications of that because if she did, I would think that she would want to find what can be done to break free of that endless cycle but if there is any justice in the universe, no one would be subject to an endless cycle of life and death.

The just and merciful thing do to would be to provide a way of an escape from that endless cycle and not only that, it would only be just for each soul that has lived a past life to carry back with them everything from that past life so that they will have an opportunity to not make the same mistakes and errors that they did in their previous life and so that they can get further ahead in this present life than they otherwise would and besides that being a just and merciful thing to do, it would also be the most efficient thing to do.

But if Danica Patrick has indeed lived a past life, then she has been the victim of a cruel cosmic joke and not just her, but multitudes of others as well, but if she has not lived a prior existence, then she has been deceived by a lying vision imparted to her by a lying spirit and she is broadcasting that lie to her respective audience and but before I go any further I need readers to understand something because I know that there are a lot of people in the MAGA movement who like her and have a great deal of respect for the woman:

I am not saying that Danica Patrick is deliberately deceiving people.
I am not saying that she is evil.
I do not even know for sure where her spiritual leanings lie.  If she is not a follower of Jesus, then she is a lost soul who needs to come to repentance and needs to be persuaded of her need to do so and if she is a follower of Jesus, then she is a theologically confused one.
I do not profess to know what is in Danica’s heart as I cannot see the intents of her heart.  Only God can and as far as I am concerned, it is too soon to tell what her intentions and motives might be.

Now, if Danica Patrick were to go so far as to say that she lived a past life as Jesus Christ, then that would be a whole different matter altogether because she would technically be saying that she is Jesus Christ and I would hope and pray that if she ever said something like that, her audience would flee as far as they could from her (she would have to be, at that point, denounced at best as deluded raving lunatic, or a deliberate deceiver and charlatan at worst)

But what I am saying, is that what we believe about what comes after this life has some very serious ramifications.  And if Danica has been seduced by a lying spirit, then she and her respective audience would do well to find out what the truth actually is because if they don’t, they will pay an eternal price.

Observable evidence tells us that this present life is the only one into which we are born; we are born into no other but the vision that Danica Patrick had conflicts with the observable evidence and so we must determine where the observable evidence leads and the observable evidence would suggest that we live only once and die only once, never to be reborn into this world again and if we are to compare the observable evidence with the Bible that says that it is appointed unto us to die only once and then face judgment afterwards and with Danica’s vision, then I would have to say that the observable evidence is more in agreement with scripture than with Danica on this one and the Bible says that when we die, we face judgment and our final judgment will determine where each and every one of us spends eternity as it speaks of only two destinations: Heaven or Hell and if that is the case, then the first thing on our minds should be, how to get to Heaven and avoid going to Hell.

What scripture and the vision that Danica Patrick shared with her audience do have in common is this: They are both products of a spiritual source but that does not mean that they both came from the same spiritual source because if they did, then that has serious ramifications as well because that means that we are all products of a power and force that is divided against itself and if it remains divided against itself, then the consequences of that can be nothing short of being unimaginably and incomprehensibly astronomical; it could even mean the end of everything in not just the material realm, but even in the spiritual realm because it is the by the power by the force by which we are created that everything is being held together and sustained.

But if the Bible and Danica’s vision come from two different sources, then this also has very serious ramifications for then that means that there are two spiritual forces in opposition to each other and at war with each other for the minds, hearts, and souls of men and whether she understands this or not, Danica Patrick is caught in the midst of this age-long war every bit as much as the rest of humanity and like everyone else who is born into this life, she is going to have to choose a side and what she ultimately gives herself over to will determine which spiritual force she sides with and the choice that is laid before her is the same choice that that has been laid before the rest of us:

Life or death
Good or evil
Light or darkness
Truth or falsehood
Wisdom or foolishness
Holiness or sinfulness
Purity or corruption
Righteousness or unrighteousness
Order or chaos
Liberty or oppression
Angels or demons
God or Satan
Heaven or Hell
Salvation or damnation

And that has been the same choice that has been laid before mankind ever since he was first created but the war being waged for the souls of men did not begin on the earth, but it began in the Kingdom of the God who made the heavens and the earth and before the earth was created and this division began when a certain angel, a covering cherub more specifically named Lucifer thought to make himself equal with God and as a consequence, he and the angels who sided with him were cast from their places in Heaven (Is. 14:11-21, Ezek. 28:12-19) and it was in that day that Lucifer became known as Satan or the Devil and after he and those who sided with him were cast from their places in Heaven, Satan then crept into a newly created world in which there was no evil, no death, and no suffering but was a world that God intended to be a world of life, light, peace, harmony, joy, happiness, and contentment, and in which there existed a perfect harmony between God, man, and nature until that harmony was disrupted when Satan, in the form of a serpent led mankind into committing a fateful transgression that would turn the world into the once good and beautiful place that God had created it to be into the presently fallen, corrupt, and dying condition that it is in now and that transgression of such astronomical consequence beyond comprehension had to do with a fruit from a certain tree called the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; mankind being warned of God that in the day that they ate the fruit thereof, they would surely die (Gen. 2:16-17, 3:3) but with false assurances and empty promises, Satan caused the first man Adam whom God had created and the first woman Eve, being Adam’s wife, to eat of that forbidden fruit (Gen. 3:4-5) and instead of receiving the greatness that they were promised, they were reduced to an inferior state (Gen. 3:7 and just as they had been warned of God, the sentence of death was placed upon them (Gen. 3:19) for it was in that day when Adam and Eve ate of that forbidden fruit that sin entered into them and from them, the sin which entered into them and brought about their eventual deaths, was also passed down to all of mankind for all of us are descendants of that first man and that first woman and because we are their descendants, we have also inherited the sin that entered into them (Rom. 5:12) and because of that sin which we have inherited, we all sin in some form or fashion and as a consequence we all die for as it is written, the wages of sin is death (Rom. 6:23) but sin is not merely confined to outward behavior or performance or even the words we speak, but it is rather the inherent inward corruption of our very nature defiling our thoughts, hardening and darkening our hearts, and corrupting our very motives which is why it is written that we are not defiled from that which comes from without, but that which comes from within (Mt. 15:11, 18-20) and which is why it is written that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23) which demands of us nothing less than moral perfection and not just in our outward acts but also in our inward as well which is why it is impossible by our own efforts and our own goodness to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, for sin taints, corrupts, defiles, twists, and distorts more than we can comprehend and the effects of sin are not merely confined to mankind, but all of creation is subjected to a curse because of sin which is why it is written that the entire creation groans and travails in pain to this day (Rom. 8:19-22) but not only that, the transgression that Satan led Adam and Eve into committing made him justified in claiming lordship over all the nations, kingdoms, and empires of the earth, (Mt. 4:8-9, Lk. 4:6-7) which is why he is called the prince of this world (Jn. 12:31, 16:11)

By that transgression which, Satan, by a lie, led Adam and Eve to commit, did darkness and evil come into the world by which all of creation was subjected to the unprecedented and unimagined tyranny of sin and death which would be followed by a multitude of other oppressions and tyrannies which would be built upon a multitude of lies that would follow that very lie that brought about that fateful transgression which brought sin, death, evil, and darkness into the world and which made Satan the father of lies (Jn. 8:44) and by that lie, he is also a murderer (v. 44) for it was by that first lie, that sin and death came into the world through the first two people into whom it had entered and then was passed down from them to the rest of mankind, subjugating all of humanity to the sin which brings eventual death to all who are born into this world; the effects of both not confining themselves to humanity, but also subjugating all of creation to a slow and painful destruction thus making Satan a destroyer (Jn. 10:10) and not only does the lie by which he deceived Adam and Eve into eating the very fruit by which sin and death came into the world and infected all of creation make Satan into a murderer and destroyer, but he is also a thief and usurper for by way of the transgression was the dominion over the earth initially given to Adam (Gen. 1:26) diminished by way of Satan claiming lordship over the nations and kingdoms of the earth but not only is Satan a destroyer of lives and of creation, he is also a destroyer of souls for by way of the lie which brought about the transgression which brought sin and death into the world and which subjugated all of creation to pain, misery, and suffering that would have otherwise not been, a separation and estrangement stands in between God and man and it is because of the sin into which we are born that we are estranged from our Creator with whom there would otherwise be a perfect and uninterrupted harmony and fellowship, for that which is in sin cannot be allowed into His direct presence or into His Kingdom lest Heaven itself be defiled just as the earth has been defiled and a day is coming when sin will reach its full measure and will have to face eventual judgment and that includes all who remain in their sin and they who remain in their sins have nothing to look forward to but a terrifying and everlasting punishment in the never-ending torments and darkness of Hell and it was in the day that sin and death had entered into mankind and into the world that the age-long war between God and Satan became a war for the souls of men to this day and that war for the souls of men has resulted in a multitude of other wars and conflicts that have taken place throughout our history but there is good news.

And the good news is, is that though the Lord God Almighty be holy and perfect and though He be a God who must, in His holiness, goodness, and righteousness, eventually punish all evil and all wickedness, He is also a God of unmeasurable love and mercy who is not willing that any should perish in their sins and face eternal damnation, (2 Pet. 3:9) but that all would come to repentance, and therefore has done for us what we could never do for ourselves in that He, in His graciousness has purchased redemption on our behalf in Christ Jesus, His only begotten Son, (Jn. 3:16) who came to us in the flesh, (Jn. 1:14) and being without any sin (2 Cor. 5:21) was made that perfect sacrifice (Heb. 7:26-27) that was needed to take away the sins of the world and because of His perfect goodness, He was able to offer Himself up on our behalf to satisfy the demanded penalty for all sin and granting mercy and grace through the shedding of His blood on the cross and after having died, rose again from the dead three days later that we might be justified in Him (Rom. 4:25) if we will but call upon His name so that we might be saved from what would otherwise be a terrifying everlasting punishment if we will but call upon His name (Rom. 10:9, 13) and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead (Rom. 10:9) for it is by calling upon His name in sincere repentance that salvation is granted and our souls made clean from sin thereby liberating us from the threat of eternal damnation and with that cleansing comes a new spiritual transformation (2 Cor. 5:17) that causes us to no longer desire to follow after selfish and worldly pursuits but after those things that pertain to the Kingdom of Heaven,
to no longer take pleasure in those things that are evil and displeasing in the sight of the Lord, but in that which is good, right, and pleasing in His sight,
to no longer desire to walk in the lies of this present world, but only in the truth that comes from Christ Almighty who is the source of all truth, (Jn. 14:6)
no longer placing our hopes in the things of this present world, but looking forward to that new and better world to come, (Rev. 21-22)
to no longer rely on worldly resources, men, or even our own power, abilities, skills, and wisdom for our needs and provision but upon God who is able to meet all of our needs, recognizing that the resources of this world and even the people He brings into our lives are but instruments and vessels through which God meets our needs and that the skills, power, knowledge, and wisdom by which we might acquire our provision are provided and instilled in us by God, (Mt. 6:25-33)
to no longer fear what men can do to us, but rather fearing the God before whom we will have to one day give an account for how we lived our lives, (Mt. 10:28)
to no longer look to corruptible institutions within our society for direction and order in our lives but to God who, by His written Word has given us laws and precepts to be applied to our lives and which serve to produce and maintain an ordered life, and who, by His Holy Spirit which comes to dwell within us upon repentance, establishes in our lives a course and direction in our lives to pursue for His glory,
to no longer seek our own glory but the glory of God,
to no longer rally behind corruptible men, but instead behind the incorruptible God in Heaven bearing in mind that those men and women God raises up for our edification are but instruments and servants of His for that respective purpose to which He has called them,
to no longer seek to align ourselves with the things of darkness but only with the things of the light,
to no longer trust in the wisdom of the world but only on the wisdom and knowledge that comes from above, (Jas. 1:5) nor depend on corruptible earthly authorities to swiftly administer justice, but only in the power of God to deliver us from evil.

And it is this new inward transformation that reconciles us to our Creator (2 Cor. 5:18) from whom we had once been estranged and just as our souls are cleansed from sin and our spirits regenerated in Christ Jesus thereby liberating us from the eternal tormenting punishment that must come upon all who remain in their sins, so one day we look forward to the liberation of our bodies from death itself when our mortal and corruptible forms are transformed into that which is immortal and incorruptible and from that which is imperfect to that which is perfect (1 Cor. 15:51-55, 1 Thess. 4:13-18) and lastly, creation itself will be delivered from the curse placed upon it because of sin when it is made into a new and better world (Rev. 21-22) and liberated from the hand of our adversary Satan, who presently claims dominion, when he is given his final sentence and cast into an everlasting tormenting fire prepared for him and his followers (Mt. 25:41, Rev. 20:10-15) and in that new world which will be made, there will be no sin, no death, no decay, nor any curse, nor any evil, or violence, suffering, misery, grief, sorrow, mourning, pain, or hardship of any sort for all of these will pass away with this present world.  Instead, there will only be light, life, happiness, joy, contentment, peace, and rest before the Lord God Almighty.

But through various devices, Satan has continued and still continues to fight against the spreading of the good news of the Gospel in order to hold as many of the captives that he has taken in bondage and he does so by blinding them to their spiritual bondage with lies and in blinding them to their spiritual bondage, he also blinds them to their need for redemption and salvation and he tirelessly does all in his power to suppress anything that challenges the lies by which he has poisoned the minds and hearts of many and to hide and suppress anything that might lead souls to the knowledge of the truth by which we are delivered from eternal damnation and one of the most effective tools that has been used by the adversary of our souls is been the use of lying signs and wonders, and visions of deceit which is why we are admonished in scripture to test all things (1 Thess. 5:21) and to test the spirits to see if they be of God or not (1 Jn. 4:1) which means we need to compare even visions and the messages they convey against the written word of God to determine if they be of God or not because if not every spirit is of God, then neither is every dream, vision, doctrine, or creed and we can only hope and pray that Danica Patrick and her respective audience will be given the discernment to tell what is coming from God and what is coming from Satan and that they will all choose to follow the voice of God.

What do you reader choose? If you have not done so already and choose redemption, love, mercy, and forgiveness and salvation, and to be on the side of life, light, liberty, and all that is good and right, that I would urge you to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus for the forgiveness of sins so that you may be made a member of His everlasting Kingdom which will be joined to that that new and better world that is to come.  It is but a sincere prayer of repentance away:

"Lord Jesus I need you.

I realize that I am a sinner
who has fallen short of the glory of God
and that my goodness falls short
of your standard of Moral perfection.

Please forgive me of all of my sins.
Come into my heart and into my life
to be the Savior and Lord of my life.
Make me into the servant and follower
that you want me to be.
In your name Lord Jesus, I pray.

Amen."

Know that God is not concerned with the words that you use to call upon Him forgiveness, but with the attitude of your heart and if you have, with all sincerity, have asked Christ to forgive you of your sins, placing your trust in Him only for your salvation and in nothing else, then your sins are forgiven and your place in Heaven is certain.
