Ken Ham Has Sad News For Us And President Trump Seems To Agree With Him

                                                                                                                                                               [1]

And President Trump seems to agree:

we were a really, people would say, a Christian and really religious, even other faiths country, and that seems to be heading in the wrong direction, and I think as that goes down I think that our country goes down, I really do.  I think this is a country that needs religion it's like the glue that holds it together and we don't we don't have that… [2]

I think our country’s missing a lot of religion. I think it really was a much better place with religion. It was almost a guide. To a certain extent it was a guide. You want to be good to people. Without religion there are no guardrails. I’d love to see us get back to religion, more religion in this country. [3]

I’m not going to say that these two men would necessarily agree on everything but and you can debate the authenticity of Trump’s profession of faith all you want, but what these two men seem to undeniably be in agreement on is that politics can’t and will not solve everything.

And I have said this in a number of different posts before:

We don’t have an economic problem.
We don’t have a national security problem.
We don’t have a debt problem.
We don’t have an illegal immigrant problem.
We don’t have an academic problem.
We don’t have a judicial problem.
We don’t have an environmental problem.
We don’t have a corporate or civic corruption problem.
We don’t have a government overreach problem.
We don’t have a racial problem.
We don’t have a generational gap problem.
We don’t have a gender gap problem.
And we don’t even have a morality problem.

And what I mean by that is that is not that these problems don’t exist and don’t need to be addressed, but what I do mean is that these problems manifested are, as not only Ken Ham has consistently pointed out over the years but even Trump himself has pointed out on a number of occasions, symptoms of a problem much more foundational and if the foundational problem is not economic, social, academic, corporate, or civic, then it can only be spiritual because the spiritual condition of the nation will determine the course of society and the culture be it for better or for worse.  It affects how the private sector operates, how education is taught, how news is reported, the nature of the entertainment produced, how civic institutions are run and managed, the nature of the governing powers that we are under, and how the people treat each other.

If you want to know what is wrong with a nation or a culture, look no further than the spirituality on which that culture and society rest and then you will see what needs to change.

As has been pointed out not only by creationist organizations such as Answers In Genesis, Institute For Creation Research, Creation Ministries International and others, but also the latest Religious Liberty Commission hearing, our enemies know exactly how to attack our Constitutional Democratic Republican system of government and it did not start out as a direct attack on our Constitutional liberties, but rather it began with an attack on the founding principles and the founding spirituality of our nation because they knew that once that foundation was destroyed, the Constitutional system that was established on it would fall with it.

The very founding principles and spirituality upon which our nation was built has been under attack almost from day one of its founding and it is only around the beginning of the mid-nineteenth century that a mechanism was presented by with which the enemies of our liberty finally could use to successfully undermine confidence in the source of our very freedom which does not come from man but from an authority higher than that of man that is the Lord God Almighty who created the heavens and the earth and who is the source of our liberty (2 Cor. 3:17) and what makes them the source of our liberty is that He is the source of truth, law and order, the decider of what is right and wrong, good and evil, and the source of all things; a fact recognized in the opening statements of our own Declaration of Independence. [4]

The enemies of our liberty did not start out by attacking our freedoms outright.  Their attacks have been far more subtle than that.  They began their attacks by attacking confidence in the very source of our liberties which is our Creator and His authority but at the mid-point of the nineteenth century, a work of a very monumental consequence was produced that had provided the mechanism that the enemies of liberty needed to effectively shake confidence in the minds of multitudes in the authority and even the existence of our Creator from whom our liberty comes and that work of monumental consequence and which would, within less than a generation, consume academia, the scientific community, and virtually every sector of society like a plague was called On The Origin Of The Species by Charles Darwin who was credited for a philosophy known as evolution.  Before the publication of On The Origin Of The Species, evolutionary philosophy of certain sorts had already been known but never had the impact on the course of society as Charles Darwin did because no success was made in providing a mechanism so as to make such thought widely believable but the what made On The Origin Of The Species widely believable is because it provided the mechanism by which life could have arisen without the need for a Creator and it was a mechanism that appeared to make logical sense and thus rendered belief in divine intervention and even the existence of a Creator non-scientific and after having declared belief in the supernatural unscientific and non-intellectual, the enemies of our liberty then sought to have divine influence removed from our institutions, beginning with our academic institutions under a mis-rendering of the phrase “separation of Church and state” which those who have not read the Constitution believe is actual law, but it was never in our Constitution, but originated from an exchange of letters between Thomas Jefferson and the Danbury Baptist Church in which he assured them after his election to the Presidency that there would be no state imposed religion and that the powers of government should address actions only, not opinions:

The address of the Danbury Baptists Association in the state of Connecticut, assembled October 7, 1801.

To Thomas Jefferson, Esq., President of the United States of America.

Sir,

Among the many million in America and Europe who rejoice in your election to office; we embrace the first opportunity which we have enjoyed in our collective capacity, since your inauguration, to express our great satisfaction, in your appointment to the chief magistracy in the United States: And though our mode of expression may be less courtly and pompous than what many others clothe their addresses with, we beg you, sir, to believe that none are more sincere.

Our sentiments are uniformly on the side of religious liberty‐‐that religion is at all times and places a matter between God and individuals‐‐that no man ought to suffer in name, person, or effects on account of his religious opinions‐‐that the legitimate power of civil government extends no further than to punish the man who works ill to his neighbors; But, sir, our constitution of government is not specific. Our ancient charter together with the law made coincident therewith, were adopted as the basis of our government, at the time of our revolution; and such had been our laws and usages, and such still are; that religion is considered as the first object of legislation; and therefore what religious privileges we enjoy (as a minor part of the state) we enjoy as favors granted, and not as inalienable rights; and these favors we receive at the expense of such degrading acknowledgements as are inconsistent with the rights of freemen. It is not to be wondered at therefore; if those who seek after power and gain under the pretense of government and religion should reproach their fellow men‐‐should reproach their order magistrate, as a enemy of religion, law, and good order, because he will not, dare not, assume the prerogatives of Jehovah and make laws to govern the kingdom of Christ.

Sir, we are sensible that the president of the United States is not the national legislator, and also sensible that the national government cannot destroy the laws of each state; but our hopes are strong that the sentiments of our beloved president, which have had such genial effect already, like the radiant beams of the sun, will shine and prevail through all these states and all the world, till hierarchy and tyranny be destroyed from the earth. Sir, when we reflect on your past services, and see a glow of philanthropy and good will shining forth in a course of more than thirty years we have reason to believe that Americaʹs God has raised you up to fill the chair of state out of that goodwill which he bears to the millions which you preside over. May God strengthen you for your arduous task which providence and the voice of the people have called you to sustain and support you enjoy administration against all the predetermined opposition of those who wish to raise to wealth and importance on the poverty and subjection of the people.

And may the Lord preserve you safe from every evil and bring you at last to his heavenly kingdom through Jesus Christ our Glorious Mediator.

Thomas Jefferson’s Letter to the Danbury Baptist Association

To messers. Nehemiah Dodge, Ephraim Robbins, & Stephen S. Nelson, a committee of the Danbury Baptist association in the state of Connecticut.

Gentlemen

The affectionate sentiments of esteem and approbation which you are so good as to express towards me, on behalf of the Danbury Baptist association, give me the highest satisfaction. My duties dictate a faithful and zealous pursuit of the interests of my constituents, & in proportion as they are persuaded of my fidelity to those duties, the discharge of them becomes more and more pleasing.

Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should ʺmake no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,ʺ thus building a wall of separation between Church & State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.

I reciprocate your kind prayers for the protection & blessing of the common father and creator of man, and tender you for yourselves & your religious association, assurances of my high respect & esteem.

Th Jefferson
Jan. 1. 1802

But the enemies of our liberty have twisted the words of Jefferson against the fear and reverence of God Almighty in our civic institutions so as to drive out from them all theistic influence and in doing so, penalize and punish people for their opinions, which Jefferson never intended, rather than limiting government powers only to the punishment of bad actions.  At the final hearing of the Religious Liberty Commission, Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick said:

we have posters, all types of federal posters up about OSHA regulations and various regulations. You must follow, your rights must be protected.  We've talked about it a little bit on this commission.

Would it not be a good recommendation that every school, every university, every business
has to have that one sheet on the bulletin board about protecting people's religious liberty and that the separation of church and state is the second biggest lie that's been told in America since our founding.

when I look at the first amendment, what religious freedom is really all about is your conscience to believe what you want. And where does that come from?
Does that come from what your parents teach you? Does that come from going to church? Where does that come from?

But if we can steal people's right of conscience as opposed to religious liberty, which I think is all one and the same, if we can take that away from you that you can't believe what you want to believe, then the other freedoms fall very quickly.

Because if I can get into your heart and steal that from you, what you believe, and tell you, you can't believe that, you can't express it, then everything else falls pretty quickly. [6]

And there have been countless examples of First Amendment violations in the name of so-called separation of Church and state and primarily against those professing adherence to the Christian faith and not only in the name of the separation of Church, but even in the name of so-called equal rights:

Coaches getting fired for even praying privately in their spare time on a football field.
County clerks being imprisoned because the dictates of their faith forbid them to do anything that might make them even so much as to appear to endorse that which goes against the teachings of their respective faith.
Bakers being sued out of business because they refuse to do even so much as anything that makes them appear as though they are endorsing anything that goes against their respective faith.
Teachers and professors terminated from their professions if they teach creationism to their students.
Students flunked because they refuse to agree with the preferred narrative of their professors and teachers no matter how untrue and absurd those narratives may be.
Pro-lifers arrested simply for their prayers.

The enemies of our liberty not only have deceived multitudes into rejecting the existence and authority of God, but they have also made many to be even hostile to any expressions of theistic faith and will even go so far as to persecute and punish those who dare to be governed by the dictates of their respective faith and conscience.

The enemies of our liberty are not content with just simply rejecting the authority of God.  They must rid every sector of society of His influence and they must do all that they can to suppress all knowledge of Him because they don’t anyone to worship and serve Him because they want to hold captive as many souls as they possibly can and what they have promised to be freedom will inevitably lead to tyranny and that is how multitudes will sometimes find themselves under a tyranny and an oppression that they had never foreseen or imagined; being promised things better than what they have only to find themselves under something far worse than what was before.

And that is exactly how and why the world as we know it is in the present state that it is today but when God had created it, it was a far better place than it is today; far better than we can possibly imagine because there was no evil in it, no death, and no suffering because God had created everything to be good for His pleasure and for our own until the day a lying spirit, in the form of a serpent, crept into the newly created world and promised Adam the first man whom God created and Eve the first woman who was Adam’s wife better things (Gen. 3:4-5) than what they had if they would do the one thing they had been warned of God not to do and that was the eating of a fruit from a certain tree called the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, having been warned of God that in the day that they ate thereof, they would surely die. (Gen. 2:16-17, 3:3)

But instead of heeding the warning of God, they believed the words of that lying spirit and ate of that forbidden fruit and when they ate of that forbidden fruit, instead of receiving better things, they were reduced to an inferior state (Gen. 3:7) and instead of avoiding the sentence of death, the sentence of death was pronounced upon them as they were warned (Gen. 3:19) and to which they eventually succumbed for it was in the day that sin entered into them that they became subject to death and to an oppression and tyranny that they had never foreseen or imagined.

But the sentence of death and the consequences of Adam and Eve’s disobedience did not stop with them but extended to the rest of creation and to the rest of us since we are descended from them and because we are descended from them because the sin that entered into them was then passed down to all of mankind since we all descend from them (Rom. 5:12) and because of the inherited corruption of our nature, we all sin and as a consequence, we all die (Rom. 6:23) and because of sin, we are born estranged from and separated from our Maker for that which is sinful cannot dwell in the direct presence of that which is sinless and holy and not only did sin bring death to mankind, but it also brought decay corruption, grief, misery, pain, and hardship to all of creation which is why it is written that the entire creation travails in pain to this day (Rom. 8:19-22)

And that serpent, being that evil spirit who told the very lies that caused Adam and Eve to commit that terrible transgression, was a certain angelic being called Lucifer who had once served as a covering cherub at the throne of God until he had become so lifted up in pride, he thought himself to be equal with God and as a consequence, he and those who sided with him against God were cast from their places in Heaven. (Is. 14:11-21, Ezek. 28:12-19)

It was in that day that he became known as Satan or the Devil and what he could not accomplish in Heaven, he was able to accomplish on the earth by a lie and by a lie, he plunged the world into the bondage and tyranny of sin and death.

The disobedience of Adam gave Satan justification to claim and declare lordship over the kingdoms, empires, and nations of the world (Mt. 4:8-9, Lk. 4:6-7) which is why the enemy of God and the adversary of our souls is called the prince of this world. (Jn. 12:31, 16:11)

And if the Lord God Almighty is the source of liberty, then Satan is the source of all tyranny and oppression and just as he succeeded in deceiving Adam and Eve into thinking that they would receive better things than what they already had if they would but disobey the command that prohibited them from eating of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, so he continues to deceive multitudes into thinking that they too will receive better things if they will reject the authority of God and embrace his counterfeit freedom which, although appears to be freedom, turns out to not really be freedom at all, but tyranny and oppression that was sold as the freedom that it never was all the while keeping as many as he can as blind and ignorant to what true freedom actually is by cutting them off from all knowledge of where true freedom comes from and where true freedom begins.

We all yearn, strive for, and try to maintain freedoms and liberties manifested but yet refuse to seek the freedom that must begin and be maintained from within not realizing that if the manifested freedoms that we enjoy are to maintained, we must first seek the freedom that begins from within because that is where the God of our liberty requires freedom to begin; not from without but from within because if it does not begin from within, then there will be no hope of ever experiencing the manifested freedoms longed for and if it is not maintained from within, then those manifested freedoms will eventually be lost.

It is why I’ve said in previous posts before that it is not enough to just simply drain the swamp.  The plug that is holding in that swamp water must be identified and removed, the breaches that it is pouring through must be identified and repaired, and the fountains spewing it forth must be replaced with fountains that will bring forth clean water that will nourish the souls of the people.

Tyranny and oppression began from within which is why liberty must begin from within and this inward freedom is a liberty that only God can offer and give to any willing to receive it but ultimately the reason why so many people reject this freedom is because they enjoy their captivity too much which they have mistaken for freedom and if they continue to persistently reject the liberty that God offers, then they will be sentenced to an eternal captivity from which they will never be set free but which will be a captivity filled with nothing more than an everlasting and unrelenting punishment and torment in the darkness and fires of Hell but because God is not willing that any be sentenced to such a fate but that all come to repentance, (2 Pet. 3:9) He, in His love for mankind, and in His desire to bestow mercy and grace, has offered liberty in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior His only begotten Son, (Jn. 3:16) whom He sent into the world to take away our sins and by the shedding of His blood was redemption bought thereby satisfying both the demand for the penalty, which He, being without any sin (2 Cor. 5:21, Heb. 4:15) took upon Himself, to be paid for all sin and granting mercy in His death upon the cross and by His resurrection are we made justified in Him (Rom. 4:25) so that anyone placing full trust in Him alone for the forgiveness of sin and salvation will not have to face eternal damnation, but be made a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven and granted eternal life and it is in calling upon Him for the forgiveness of sins and believing that God raised Him from the dead that we are saved from an otherwise terrible everlasting judgment (Rom. 10:9, 13) and it is by Him are we reconciled to the Father from whom we had once been estranged (2 Cor. 5:18) and inwardly transformed and made anew (2 Cor. 5:17) and it is this inward cleansing of the soul and this regeneration which cause all who are willing to call upon Christ for it, submit to it, and embrace it to no longer desire to follow after selfish and worldly pursuits but after those things that pertain to the Kingdom of Heaven, (Mt. 6:33)
to no longer take pleasure in those things that are evil and displeasing in the sight of the Lord, but in that which is good, right, and pleasing in His sight,
to no longer desire to walk in the lies of this present world, but only in the truth that comes from Christ Almighty, (Jn. 14:6) no longer placing our hopes in the things of this present world, but looking forward to that new and better world to come, (Rev. 21-22)
to no longer rely on worldly resources, men, or even our own power, abilities, skills, and wisdom for our needs and provision but upon God who is able to meet all of our needs, (Mt. 6:25-33) recognizing that the resources of this world and even the people He brings into our lives are but instruments and vessels through which God meets our needs and that the skills, power, knowledge, and wisdom by which we might acquire our provision are provided and instilled in us by God,
to no longer fear what men can do to us, but rather fearing the God before whom we will have to one day give an account for how we lived our lives, (Mt. 10:28)
to no longer look to corruptible institutions within our society for direction and order in our lives but to God who, by His written Word has given us laws and precepts to be applied to our lives and which serve to produce and maintain an ordered life, and who, by His Holy Spirit which comes to dwell within us upon repentance, establishes in our lives a course and direction in our lives to pursue for His glory,
to no longer seek our own glory but the glory of God,
to no longer rally behind corruptible men, but instead behind the incorruptible God in Heaven bearing in mind that those men and women God raises up for our edification are but instruments and servants of His for that respective purpose to which He has called them,
to no longer seek to align ourselves with the things of darkness but only with the things of the light,
to no longer trust in the wisdom of the world but only on the wisdom and knowledge that comes from above, nor depend on corruptible earthly authorities to swiftly administer justice, but only in the power of God to deliver us from evil. (Jas. 1:5)

And just as we are made spiritually alive in Christ, so also we will one day be delivered from bodily death itself when our present bodies are changed from that which was born into corruption into that which is without corruption (1 Cor. 15:51-55, 1 Thess. 4:13-18) but not only will we also see our bodies redeemed from death, just as our souls have been redeemed from eternal damnation, we will also witness creation itself being delivered from the curse of sin when the present prince of this world is cast out and receives his final sentence and defeat (Rev. 20:10-15) and when the creation is made anew, there will be no sin, no evil, no darkness, nor any curse.

There will be no death, no decay, nor any pain, nor any hardship, no oppression, no misery, no cruelty, no despair, or any grief for all of these things will have passed away with the old corrupted creation and the redemption of the world began with the redemption of our souls and we who have already been redeemed out of our sins are now awaiting the day for our mortal vessels to be liberated from bodily death and creation itself is still awaiting the day when it will be liberated from the curse that came upon it but the adversary of our souls, the slayer of our bodies, and the destroyer of creation, and the usurper of the dominion, remains hard at work in taking and keeping captive as many souls as he can and works ever more desperately to lead as many souls into eternal damnation as he possibly can and if our captivity and bondage began spiritually which itself began with a lie, then our liberation must also begin spiritually and spiritual liberation can only begin with the truth that sets us free (Jn. 8:32) and what is this truth that sets us free?

It is the Gospel of salvation that sets us free and this spiritual liberty which is only made possible in Christ is that liberty from which economic, political, academic, and social liberties eventually arise and every soul won over to our Lord is a blow to the power and influence that Satan holds over this earth which is why he will use any and all means at his disposal, both visible and invisible, to hinder the spread of this liberating Gospel through lies, deceits, perversions and misrepresentations of the faith, infiltrating the ranks of the saints and spreading heresies and false doctrines amongst them, causing needless dissention and discord amongst saints who might otherwise be united, leading them into sin and causing them to disgrace themselves in the sight of the entire world and thereby destroying the credibility of their testimony, and he will try to intimidate they who might otherwise boldly preach the Gospel message into silence and when he cannot deceive them with false doctrine, lead them into sin, nor intimidate them into silence, he will then bring varying degrees of persecution against them ranging from mere ridicule and social ostracization to violence and even death in his relentless attempts to keep the souls who might otherwise be won over to our Lord blind to His truth and anything that might lead them to that truth by hiding, suppressing, and even destroying any evidences that might open the eyes of the lost to the truth of the Gospel message by which their souls may be saved from damnation and which upon reception, brings a spiritual transformation to the recipients thereof.

Truth need not silence any dissent or challenge because it is able to expose every lie and deception for what it is and is confident that when under scrutiny  every lie will fall on its own merits but lies find it necessary to silence dissent and every challenge to them because it is upon lies that tyranny is built and established but freedom, true freedom that is, is established in truth and truth is founded upon the God who is the source thereof and so is given a choice laid before every soul who is born into this world:

Life or death
Good or evil
Light or darkness
Truth or falsehood
Wisdom or foolishness
Holiness or sinfulness
Purity or corruption
Righteousness or unrighteousness
Order or chaos
Liberty or oppression
Angels or demons
God or Satan
Heaven or Hell
Salvation or damnation

There is no middle ground.  Sides are already being chosen as we speak, even in our own nation.

If you have not done so already, but would rather be a free soul under God than either property of the state or a subject and instrument of Satan, and if you want to know what it is to be inwardly liberated and not just outwardly, then I would urge you today to surrender your soul, your heart, and life to Christ Jesus so that you may know what true liberty is under God and so that you might experience in yourself that inward freedom from which all other freedoms are produced,  It is but a simple sincere prayer of repentance away:

"Lord Jesus I need you.

I realize that I am a sinner
who has fallen short of the glory of God
and that my goodness falls short
of your standard of Moral perfection.

Please forgive me of all of my sins.
Come into my heart and into my life
to be the Savior and Lord of my life.
Make me into the servant and follower
that you want me to be.
In your name Lord Jesus, I pray.

Amen."

Know that God is not concerned with the words that you use to call upon Him forgiveness, but with the attitude of your heart and if you have, with all sincerity, have asked Christ to forgive you of your sins, placing your trust in Him only for your salvation and in nothing else, then your sins are forgiven and your place in Heaven is certain.
