Grateful
for the mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy [1] case and to the juror who stood up for
principle but it is a sad day when eleven other jurors don’t think that
murdering a child on account of mental afflictions is wrong.
It
seems that the nine women were not able to put aside their ideological biases
and examine the case from a logical, fair, and objective manner; the facts and
evidence did not seem to matter to them and neither did reason or logic They
didn’t seem to care that three children were dead but insisted that their
murderer be acquitted on account of postpartum mental afflictions.
Two
out of the three men were cowards for capitulating to women who insisted on
excusing wicked actions or, like the women, didn’t care about the facts or the
evidence, and were blinded by ideological bias as well.
Only
one juror cared about the facts and the evidence.
Only
one juror, irrespective of what his ideological leanings might be, approached
the case in a fair, logical, and unbiased fashion. He listened with a fair mind, testimonies
from both sides.
He
examined the evidence. And based on the
evidence, information, and testimony presented, and after carefully weighing
what was presented by both sides, he drew his final conclusion which was not
what the eleven other jurors on the case wanted. The eleven other jurors sought an
acquittal. The twelfth juror refused to
agree to that because he did not believe that a mental affliction was any
excuse for bad actions and that the perpetrator of the crime, irrespective of
any excuses made for her actions, had to suffer consequences.
He
knew that a crime like what Lindsay Clancy had committed required a deliberate
and willful effort, an intended target, and premeditation which is why he could
not accept any kind of mental affliction as an excuse to commit the murders
that Clancy did.
I
do not know what is going to happen with this case from here on out but a
mistrial does not mean that Lindsay Clancy gets off scott-free. The case will be retried should the
prosecution decide to do so, and they likely will, and with a new jury and as
to what the next jury will decide remains to be seen, but in my previous
blogpost on the case, I warned as to how consequential it may be and what the
consequences could be if Lindsay Clancy is ever acquitted; [2] the consequences being
that if women can be excused from accountability for their actions, behavior,
and the choices they make, then why not men as well? If mental illness and hormonal
activity are to be blamed for bad behavior, bad decisions, and bad actions,
then on what basis is anyone held accountable for anything? The concepts of
right and wrong, good and evil, law and lawlessness, justice and injustice, order
and chaos, and liberty and tyranny become meaningless and might as well not
even exist and all there is left to humanity is base carnal instinct where
there is only the law of the weak and strong, inferior and superior and in
which the strong and superior dominate over and eventually eliminate the weak
and inferior.
Another
consequence, if Clancy is acquitted, is that more women will think they can excuse
their bad behavior on their hormonal activity or upon any mental or emotional imbalances
from which they might be suffering and we may very well see an increased number
of cases of murders and other acts of bad behavior committed by women being
excused on their hormonal, emotional, and mental states which will only serve
to prove the point of male supremacists who claim that women, due to being
emotionally and hormonally driven, cannot be trusted in critical occupational
fields which also would include positions of authority and leadership.
I
don’t know who she is, but X user called Merica Memed posted a video of a woman
laying very well out why women should not celebrate a Clancy acquittal. In the video she states that if women are
deemed too hormonal or too emotional or too mentally unstable to take accountability
for their actions, they may be faced with job and career opportunity
limitations, they may be barred from holding positions of civic leadership, and
in many cases, they may even lose custody of their children.
She
ends the roughly two minute segment with this: “You can’t demand equal
authority and then ask for discounted accountability. If women want equal rights, great, but equal
rights come with equal wrongs.” [3]
Meaning,
equal rights demands that all be held equally accountable for their behavior
and actions, that all be governed by the same laws and standards. In a fair and just society, you cannot apply
one set of standards to one demographic and another set of standards for
another. You cannot hold one person
accountable for their actions and then excuse those same actions carried out by
another. You cannot demand or require from
one person what you will not demand or require of another.
You
cannot hold men accountable for their actions and yet excuse women from being
held accountable for those same actions.
If a woman can be excused for her bad behavior on the basis of emotional
or mental instability or due to being hormonal, then why not a man? And I can
almost guarantee that with a Clancy acquittal, that discussion will be entering
into the debate.
What
are women governed by? Are they governed by their emotions and hormonal
activity, or are they governed by reason, logic, and moral order? That is the question that each woman needs to
ask herself and there are ramifications to what each woman decides that she is
governed by.
If
she decides that her actions and behavior are driven by her hormonal activity
and her emotional state, then she is declaring herself disqualified from
anything that requires emotional and mental stability and the ability to make reason-based
and rationally sound decisions which could adversely affect the extent of the
rights and liberties that she possess and what job or career opportunities she
may qualify for, as that will serve to add strength to anti-feminist movements
which then might lead anti-feminist factions to gain influence in both the
private and civic sectors of society which could then lead to a diminished female
presence in both and all on the basis of being disqualified from holding the
positions they are presently being allowed to hold on the basis of being too emotionally
or hormonally driven.
Currently,
the laws of our land prevent employment discrimination on the basis of sex, but
that doesn’t mean that employers in both public and private sectors might not
seek a loophole in the law and deny female applicants certain positions,
including positions of authority, on the basis of them being too emotionally or
hormonally driven to be entrusted with holding such positions.
And
as for those women already holding positions of authority in the work place,
all it might take for them to be removed from those positions is them having
one bad day on account of their hormonal activity, mental, or emotional state
but the ramifications of excusing behavior on hormones or state of mind and
emotion might not necessarily be confined to just affecting job and career
opportunities. If a woman ever so much
is caught as caught screaming at her children, threatening them, or even laying
hands on them even once, she could lose custody of them if she is deemed too
hormonally driven or mentally or emotionally unstable to be trusted with
children in her care.
There
could even be increasing calls to even take a way a woman’s right to have any
role in the civic processes, including their right to vote if, on account of
their hormonal, emotional, or mental condition, they can’t be trusted to make
informed decisions.
I
know that there are many out there who cannot foresee that being a possible
consequence of a Clancy acquittal, but there is an element within society that despises
women’s active involvement in every sector of society and resents submitting to
women holding positions of authority and power and which, if given an opportunity,
will use any excuse any woman might make for any bad behavior or actions on her
part to disqualify her from holding positions of authority and power, to strip her
of some of her rights and freedoms, and cases of child custody, even take her
children away from her if she is deemed emotionally, mentally, or hormonally
unfit to raise a child.
If
women cannot accept the consequences of their actions and are unwilling to
submit themselves to accountability as is expected and demanded of men, then how
can they expect to be trusted to exercise responsibly the same rights and
liberties that men have? They cannot have it both ways.
But
if women decide that they can be rational, if they insist that they are capable
of making logically sound and well-thought out and informed decisions, and if
they claim that there is more that governs their thinking and decision making
processes than their emotions and hormones, then they cannot use their
hormonal, emotional, or mental state as an excuse for any bad actions or bad
behavior on their part. They have to agree
to be held just as accountable for their actions as any man. They cannot demand any standard to be applied
to men that they don’t want applied to themselves nor can they only demand that
standards they favor be applied to them but not to men because to do otherwise
would not make for a free, fair, and just society.
Only
when the laws of the land are applied equally and impartially to all people,
and only when every person is held just as equally accountable for their respective
actions and behavior as another, and only when each person has the same rights
and freedoms as any other can there ever be a fair and just society, but what
Lindsay Clancy’s supporters are defending and demanding is neither fair nor
just.
This
case should cause women to question, not only what it is that they are really
governed by but they should also be thinking about the ramifications and
consequences of what they decide should be governing them because what they
decide they are governed by has serious ramifications not only for them but for
society as a whole as the discussion and debate will not be confined to what
women are governed by but it will also extend into a discussion at to what
society itself will be governed by and how we really define fairness and
justice.
For
the record, I do not believe that women are any less of a moral agent or any
less capable of rational thought then men and I believe that women are entitled
to the same rights and liberties as any man is, but I also believe that if
women want to show that they can be trusted to exercise their God-given rights
and liberties responsibly and in a productive and beneficial manner, then they have
to behave and conduct themselves accordingly.
They have to demonstrate that they can exhibit self-control, that they
are not always led around by their hormonal activity or emotions, and that they
are just as capable of being reasonable and of rational thought as any man is
and even if society should excuse bad behavior and actions on account of a mental
or emotional condition or hormonal activity, there is a God in Heaven by whom
all things are created and to whom all things owe their existence, who is the
source of all truth, (Jn. 14:6) of moral order, who has decided what is right and
wrong, good and evil, and who has determined the rights and liberties of each
person and it is by His law alone that each and every person who has ever lived
will be judged and when He calls each and every person into account, He will hold
each and every person equally accountable for everything that he or she has
said and done in this present life; even every thought, motive, and attitude
will be taken into account and judged and each person will, depending on what
they have given themselves over to, will either receive their final rewards and
honors or their final sentence and what may have been accepted as an excuse for
bad actions and behavior in the earthly courts of this present world will not
be accepted in the courts of Heaven because the justice of God is not a flawed
justice but it is a perfect justice and a justice that will be carried out with
great severity and no one who has persisted in doing evil in His eyes is going
to be exempt from that justice no matter what excuses for their evil they might
make because God created all of mankind, both male and female, in His image.
(Gen. 1:26)
He
has created all persons to be equal no matter their gender, skin-color, nationality,
ethnicity, lineage, age, social or economic status, (Acts 10:34, Gal. 3:28,
Col. 3:11) and applies the same moral laws and standards to all people (Num. 15:16)
which is why all people are held equally accountable before Him but just as His
justice is applied to all people, so is His mercy applied to all people who are
willing to receive it and turn away from all that is evil and displeasing in
His eyes and He has provided redemption in His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ
(Jn. 3:16) who came as God in the flesh (Jn. 1:14) to take away the sins of the
world, for it was by one man, Adam, being the first man, that sin came into the
world, and by one man, being Jesus, are sins taken away from any willing to
place their faith in Him alone for their redemption.
But
before sin came into the world, God had created the world to be a place of
goodness and in it existed a perfect and uninterrupted harmony between God,
man, and nature and before sin, men and women were created as equals to one another
but when sin entered into the world the harmony and unity that had existed was
disrupted and it was through the first man Adam and the first woman Eve that
sin entered into the world when they had committed a fateful act of
disobedience when they had eaten the fruit of a certain tree forbidden to them
which was called the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, having been warned
by God that in the day that they ate the fruit thereof, they would surely die (Gen.
2:16-17, 3:3) but instead of heading that warning, they ate of that fruit forbidden
to them and when they did, it was in that day that sin had entered into them
and when sin entered into them, the sentence of death was pronounced upon them
both and to which they eventually succumbed. (Gen. 3:19)
Adam
and Eve were equal in creation, equal in their transgression, held equally
accountable for that transgression, and became both equally fallen but the
consequences of their transgression did not stop with them as the sin that
entered into them entered equally into all of humanity since we are all
descended from them (Rom. 5:12) which is why we all sin and since we all sin,
we all die as a consequence (Rom. 6:23) and since both male and female are
equally inherently sinful both are equally subject to death, both are equally
estranged from their Maker, and neither will inherent the Kingdom of God if
they choose to remain in their sin and take pleasure in the things that are
displeasing to God instead of turning away from those things are displeasing to
Him and evil in His sight which means both face an eternity of torment as a
consequence of taking pleasure in things that are evil and sinful.
But
sin is not merely defined by bad actions or even what is spoken. It also influences our very thoughts,
motives, and the attitudes of our hearts which is why it is impossible to be redeemed
by our own goodness and our own efforts of goodness as even our own goodness
falls short of that which is demanded by God (Rom. 3:23) due to the presence of
sin within us which is why it was necessary for Jesus to come into the world to
take away the sins of the world and it was by His death and the shedding of His
sinless blood upon the cross that redemption was purchased and it was because
He Himself was without sin (2 Cor. 5:21, Heb. 4:15) that He was able to take
upon Himself the demanded penalty for all in on our behalf and after having
purchased in His death our redemption, He was raised again for our
justification (Rom. 4:25) that in Him by our faith in Him, we would be presented
justified in the sight of God the Father if we will call upon the name of our
Lord and Savior for the forgiveness of sins. (Rom. 10:13)
And
it is the redemption of our souls that we receive in us an inward
transformation (2 Cor. 5:17) that causes us to no longer desire to follow after
selfish and worldly pursuits but after those things that pertain to the Kingdom
of Heaven,
to
no longer take pleasure in those things that are evil and displeasing in the
sight of the Lord, but in that which is good, right, and pleasing in His sight,
to
no longer desire to walk in the lies of this present world, but only in the
truth that comes from Christ Almighty who is the source of all truth, (Jn.
14:6)
no
longer placing our hopes in the things of this present world, but looking
forward to that new and better world to come, (Rev. 21-22)
to
no longer rely on worldly resources, men, or even our own power, abilities,
skills, and wisdom for our needs and provision but upon God who is able to meet
all of our needs, recognizing that the resources of this world and even the
people He brings into our lives are but instruments and vessels through which
God meets our needs and that the skills, power, knowledge, and wisdom by which
we might acquire our provision are provided and instilled in us by God, (Mt.
6:25-33)
to
no longer fear what men can do to us, but rather fearing the God before whom we
will have to one day give an account for how we lived our lives, (Mt. 10:28)
to
no longer look to corruptible institutions within our society for direction and
order in our lives but to God who, by His written Word has given us laws and
precepts to be applied to our lives and which serve to produce and maintain an
ordered life, and who, by His Holy Spirit which comes to dwell within us upon
repentance, establishes in our lives a course and direction in our lives to
pursue for His glory,
to
no longer seek our own glory but the glory of God,
to
no longer rally behind corruptible men, but instead behind the incorruptible
God in Heaven bearing in mind that those men and women God raises up for our
edification are but instruments and servants of His for that respective purpose
to which He has called them,
to
no longer seek to align ourselves with the things of darkness but only with the
things of the light,
to
no longer trust in the wisdom of the world but only on the wisdom and knowledge
that comes from above, (Jas. 1:5) nor depend on corruptible earthly authorities
to swiftly administer justice, but only in the power of God to deliver us from
evil.
Both
men and women are given the same choice just as Adam and Eve were:
Life
or death
Good
or evil
Light
or darkness
Truth
or falsehood
Wisdom
or foolishness
Holiness
or sinfulness
Purity
or corruption
Righteousness
or unrighteousness
Order
or chaos
Liberty
or oppression
Angels
or demons
God
or Satan
Heaven
or Hell
Salvation
or damnation.
And
both will be held equally accountable for what they choose to align themselves
with and what each man and what each woman chooses to align themselves with
will determine not only the course of their life but will also make the difference
between eternity in the everlasting joys of Heaven before God or everlasting
punishment in the never ending torments of Hell.
The
Lord God Almighty is not willing that any perish in eternal damnation but that
all would come to repentance (2 Pet. 3:9) which is why if you find yourself in
Hell, it is not because God sent you there.
You sent yourself there when you rejected the offer of redemption and
when you rejected His love and offer of forgiveness which is why I urge readers
that if they have not done so already and want to avoid judgment, to turn away
from their sins and call upon the name of the Lord Jesus for the forgiveness of
sins because this present life is only temporary. Eternity is forever. Redemption and salvation are only a sincere
prayer of repentance away:
"Lord
Jesus I need you.
I
realize that I am a sinner
who
has fallen short of the glory of God
and
that my goodness falls short
of
your standard of Moral perfection.
Please
forgive me of all of my sins.
Come
into my heart and into my life
to
be the Savior and Lord of my life.
Make
me into the servant and follower
that
you want me to be.
In
your name Lord Jesus, I pray.
Amen."
Know
that God is not concerned with the words that you use to call upon Him
forgiveness, but with the attitude of your heart and if you have, with all
sincerity, have asked Christ to forgive you of your sins, placing your trust in
Him only for your salvation and in nothing else, then your sins are forgiven
and your place in Heaven is certain.
