Form Of Conservatism That I Never Heard Of Before And What It Means

I learned about a form of conservatism that I had never heard about before even though there are different degrees and levels of conservatism.  You can be a fiscal conservative and not be on other issues.

You can be a conservative on national defense (including border security) and not be on the rest.
You can be a social conservative and not be on the rest
You can be a fiscal and social conservative and not be on national defense or you can be socially conservative and a conservative on national defense and not necessarily be a fiscal conservative.

Now we might call these different brands of conservatism different degrees of centrism (call that center right or center left) but we have identified the tenets true and authentic conservatism as being:

1.  Small and limited government.

2.  Constitutional originalism (that is a strict textual rendering and application of the Constitution)

3.  Fiscal responsibility (a government that does not spend more than what it brings in and uses those funds for the betterment of the nation and to improve the welfare of the general public)

4. Strong national defense (a military capable and prepared to defend the nation against both foreign and domestic threats.  Strong national defense can also include strong border security, and an immigration process that is discretionary and possesses a strict vetting process)

5. Sanctity of innocent life, the sanctity of the sacredness of marriage, the promotion of the traditional family, academic freedom, and the protection of both women and children from any and all sexual predators which includes the preservation of women’s respective spaces, organizations, and athletics at every level.

6.  The right to possess the means to defend ones self, loved ones, property, and their fellow persons against any and all threats without fear of civic retribution, and that includes the right to bear arms without infringement.

7.  The freedom of speech, the press, and the free exercise of all religion, and the freedom to live in accordance to the dictates of one’s conscience.

8.  Freedom of association

9.  Free markets and low and limited taxation across the board with any regulation of businesses and corporations not going beyond what is essential for public health and safety and what is needed to prevent the exploitation of workers in hours and wages and to prevent the defrauding of consumers.

10.  The equality of all people in the sense of the same laws, liberties, standards, and rights applied to all citizens irrespective of skin-color, ethnicity, lineage, national origin, age, social or economic status, gender, political or religious leanings.

11.  The preservation of national sovereignty

12.  Independent and unrestricted use of our own national resources.

All of the above are the tenets that we would define as “conservatism” but the conservatism that the Christian Post column written by a man by the name of Joe Toly that I had never heard of before and it is called “Fusionist Conservatism.”

Toly describes Fusionist Conservativism consisting of three main pillars or tenets: Free Markets, strong national defense, and the promotion of and preservation of social values.  Toly states that, “Each of the three pillars is a load-bearing wall. Should any of these walls be removed, that which rests upon them will collapse.” [1]

But Toly is particularly concerned about the abandonment of social values by an increasing number of professing conservatives and believes that this abandonment of the promoting and preserving of traditional social values has largely contributed to the rise in socialism:

…the DSA brigade of malcontents isn't just some spontaneous eruption of misinformed idealism. Rather, it's the fruit of a decades-long institutional harvest, and conservatives unwittingly planted the seeds by refusing to tend the field. [2]

Which, of course brings to mind the parable of the sower who scattered seed on four different types of soils; some falling on the hard ground and were taken away by the birds, some falling on rock and shallow soil and were not rooted deeply enough to survive the elements, some falling among the thorns and whose growth and fruitfulness was prevented by the weeds, and then finally some seed falling on the prepared, fertile, and maintained soil which went on to be very productive and fruitful (Mt. 13:3-8, 18-23) but it isn’t just that conservatives are attempting to plant seeds on unprepared soil, their negligence of the field, according to Toly, has allowed for another ideology, namely socialism, to fill the void and if professing conservatives are neglecting the field or are not tending it properly, it is because their conservatism is not being established on the right foundation and instead of addressing issues at their foundational sources, they are just concerning themselves with attacking the symptoms and unless the evils we face are attacked and addressed at their very foundational and root source, the symptoms are never really going to go away and even if the symptoms do disappear for a time, they will return and perhaps with even greater force and power than they did before and the root and foundational source of the evils that we face are not economic, they are not academic, nor are they political, and they are not even social, but, as I have said in a number of different blogposts that I have written and what others besides myself have said, the fundamental cause of every evil and problem in society is spiritual and the spiritual condition of any given society ultimately determines how households are run, how education is taught, how news and information are reported, how businesses and corporations are operated and managed, the quality of entertainment that is produced, and finally, the type and nature of government that we are subjected to but if conservatives are placing less emphasis on traditional values than they used to, it is not that less emphasis is being placed on values, but they are largely abandoning the spiritual foundation upon which those traditional values rest and what is meant by traditional values?

As far as conservatives are concerned traditional values would be defined as:

1.  The sanctity of innocent life at all stages.

2.  The sanctity of the sacredness of marriage.

3.  Abstaining from pre-marital sex.

4.  Preserving the traditional or biblical family structure.

5.  Preserving the safety of women and children.

6.  Preserving the innocence of children.

7.  The right of parents to decide how to best raise their children and how they should be educated.

8.  The equality of all people.

But these all have a spiritual basis and their spiritual basis is traced right back to the God who instilled these basic values in mankind but unless that spiritual basis is promoted, defended, and preserved, that entire moral structure which conservatism may profess to see preserved and protected will collapse and then be replaced by another structure that stands opposed to that moral structure because it stands opposed to the God who is the foundation and source of all moral values, laws, and standards; think of anything considered a value or a virtue and you will find it in the Bible which is the inspired Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16) which is what the enemies of conservatism attack consistently and the reason why the Bible is attacked, it is because they know that much of what is defined as conservatism traces its foundation and roots back to scripture and they understand that if they can discredit the Bible in the hearts and minds of the populace, they then can easily discredit much of what is defined as conservatism and biblically based moral values defines very large percentage of what we define as conservatism.

For example, conservative opposition to abortion and euthanasia are traced back to the biblical command that says that you shall not murder (Ex. 20:13) and the biblical premise for opposition to abortion, which is the killing of an unborn child, and euthanasia, which is the killing of persons who are severely disabled, terminally ill, or even just too old and deteriorated to be able to live a productive and meaningful life, is that we are not the ones who should be deciding who lives and who dies and or when they are supposed to die as that is to be left only in the hands of God because who brought that person into existence in the first place.  The scripture also states that whosoever purposefully sheds the blood of man without a justifiable cause must be put to death (Gen. 9:6, Ex. 21:12) which is what we call capital punishment, which is also identified as a conservative tenet because conservatives assert that without capital punishment, there is less deterrence for violent crimes because there is less of a fear of severe consequences for unjustified acts of violence and bloodshed than there otherwise would be if those contemplating murder knew that their own lives might be forfeit if they were to attempt to carry through with the taking of another life and be caught.

The Bible says that God created marriage to be between one man and one woman as is written in the book of Genesis (Gen. 2:18) and that homosexuality is an abomination in the eyes of God (Lev. 18:22, Rom. 1:26-27) which gives conservatives the basis to assert that gay marriage should not be legalized for fear of undermining and cheapening the most sacred bond known to mankind meant for one man and one woman and one of the most fundamental institutions of society.

Scripture preaches the equality of mankind (Acts 10:34, Gal. 3:28, Col. 3:11) because all people are created in the image of God (Gen. 1:26) and this teaching of scripture is even applied to the opening statements of our own Declaration of Independence [3] and our Constitution was written and crafted so as to apply equally to all people and not just white males as many presently allege and have been misled into believing.

In the parable of the wheat and the tares, when tares are discovered growing up among the wheat, they are warned by their master or employer to not pull up the tares with the wheat lest they risk pulling up some of the wheat along with the tares as well but instead to wait until both are fully grown at which times the reapers would be instructed to separate the tares from the wheat; the sower of the good seed and master of the field being Jesus and the sower of bad seed being Satan, the servants alerting the master to the tares among the wheat being the followers of Jesus, the time of the harvest being the end of the age, and the reapers being the angels, (Mt. 13:24-30, 37-43) and again in the book of Acts, the Apostle Paul states that each person should seek after God if they should so desire to do so (Acts 17:27).

All that being said, it is not our business to be separating the wheat from the tares and we cannot force people into any given belief system.  The business of separating the wheat from the tares does not belong to man but to God alone and the enforcement of the rule of God upon the earth does not belong to man, but to God alone.  In the meantime, the best form of governance in this world is one in which a free exchange of ideas, opinions, worldviews, belief systems, religions, doctrines, theologies, and philosophies goes is allowed without any stipulations or restrictions, in which people are given opportunity to examine all perspectives, opinions, ideas, philosophies, religions, doctrines, and creeds presented, weigh the facts and evidences presented by each, and draw their own conclusions which means for the sake of peace and tranquility there must needs be competition for the hearts, minds, and souls of people between the religions, doctrines, creeds, and philosophies in the world that is kept peaceful and civil, without compelling or coercing anyone into one ideology or another and without suppressing one ideology or another and if you are willing to accept it, the parable of the wheat and tares and from Paul’s counsel to let each man seek out God as they feel led forms the very basis for the freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and for the free exercise of religion which our First Amendment was designed to protect.
[4]

Anyone, even with the best of intentions, who attempts to suppress voices that dissent from the favored or official narratives, is taking upon themselves the business of separating the wheat from the tares which is reserved for God alone and in a sense is making themselves out to be God which is why we cannot allow any earthly power to be the sole decider of what is truth and what is a lie or what is right and wrong or good and evil.

And any ideology that advances and maintains itself through the use of coercion and force cannot and must not be tolerated in a free society but must be opposed, stamped out, and eradicated from any society that values liberty and freedom by any and all means necessary because only God Himself is able to effectively enforce His truth upon the earth without destroying the wheat along with the tares, but when mankind takes it upon himself to destroy what he deems to be tares among the wheat, he, in the process, ends up destroying the wheat in the process which is why the best way to prevent that is the establishment of a system in which the freedom of speech, the freedom of the press, the free exercise of religion, and where everyone is free to live their life in accordance to the dictates of their respective faith and conscience.

If there is a scripture that provides the basis for the right to bear arms, it is found in the Gospel of Luke in which Jesus, the night before His crucifixion, instructed His disciples that if any did not have a sword to sell his cloak and buy a sword (Lk. 22:36) not for the purpose of advancing the faith by use of force but for the purpose of defending ones self and fellowpersons against any and all threats.

In the case of immigration, if there is a passage that provides a basis for foreigners to assimilate into the culture of the nation in which they wish to reside, it is found in Numbers 15:16 wherein it states where God said to the Israelites that His laws are both for them and for the non-Israelites among them which both Jew and non-Jew were both expected to obey; that meant any foreigners who desired to reside amongst the Israelites had to forsake their own respective religion, cultures, and customs, and abide in the Israelite religion, and in accordance to their laws, culture, and customs for the purpose of keeping the nation set apart from the rest of the nations of the world, protecting all by which it was defined, and ensuring that it could be a proper representative of God to the nations of the world and any nation that wishes to preserve itself, its identity, and culture is going to demand that any immigrants who wish to reside among them do the same which is why conservatives are opposed to open borders, but demand secure borders and strict vetting processes to ensure that only immigrants who want to be productive contributing members to our nation and are willing to assimilate are allowed in and those taking advantage of our social service, who seek to sabotage and destroy our nation from within, and engage in criminal activity are kept out.

Conservatives are not opposed to helping the poor, needy, and disabled, but they want to be able to do so on their own terms and give what assistance they decide that they are able to give and not what any governing power tells them what assistance they should give or how much financial support they should give and when they do decide to lend financial support to anyone, they want to decide who it is they lend financial support to instead of their tax dollars going to causes they may be opposed to and to those they do not feel are worthy of or need financial assistance but should be doing all that they can to help themselves but instead are refusing to do so which is why it giving is only counted as charity if it is done voluntarily and according to what each person purposes in their heart to do and not grudgingly or in an attitude of resentment which is why it is written that God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Cor.  9:7)

If there is a scriptural basis against disproportionate taxation and for the promotion of a fair flat tax across the board in which everyone is paying the same percentage in taxes and not one economic class paying a higher percentage than other classes, it is found in the book of Exodus where it is written where the laws of Moses commands that “the rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel” (Ex. 30:15) and though it pertained to an annual offering given during the Jewish observation of the day of atonement, it nevertheless provides a basis for a fair tax system in which everyone every year pays the same tax percentage and many on the right believe that the income tax system is an unfair tax that needs to be done away and that the government should rely on either tariffs, a federal sales tax on all goods and services but at a reasonable non-burdensome rate, or both because if the government were to rely on a flat federal sale tax on all goods and services and or tariffs for revenue, then no economic class could ever be taxed more than another unlike what takes place under an income tax system.

Anyone running on the elimination of the income tax system and replacing it with a flat federal sales tax on goods and service and or tariffs would have a winning issue.

There is more to be said about a number of tenets of the conservative platform that can be tied to a teaching in scripture and I’ve only addressed the most essential of issues and because the Bible claims divine inspiration (2 Tim. 3:16) there has been an unrelenting assault upon the authority of scripture and on the belief in, worship of, and devotion, obedience, and service to a Creator because the enemies who are opposed to the conservative platform know and understand that virtually every tenet of conservatism finds its basis in divinely inspired scriptures and they know that if they can discredit the biblical basis for conservatism, then the conservative platform will fall with that biblical foundation on which it was built.

In contrast to conservatism, the leftist or should I say, the godless Communist worldview rejects the existence and authority of a Creator and along with the rejection of the existence and authority of a Creator comes the rejection of His righteous laws and moral standards.
They reject absolute truth and absolute morality but believe that truth and morality is whatever mankind, and more specifically, the ruling, academic, and influential classes determine by consensus what is right and wrong or what is truth and falsehood or what justice is supposed to be or what law and order are supposed to be and if they believe that truth and morality are determined by a ruling consensus of authority, academic, and influential figures, then they will also conclude that our rights and freedoms are not determined by God but by the presently ruling class.

That is why they disregard the sanctity of innocent life.
This is why they seek to discard and eliminate the lives of those persons they deem inconvenient to care for.
That is why they try to impose upon society the affirmation and celebration of perverse, degenerate, depraved, and immoral behavior.
That is why they demand the affirmation of things that are not factual.  This is why they subject children to consequential sex-change operations.  This is why they believe that a person’s body can be a mistake and that biology does not determine gender but rather what a person feels like they are and it is for this reason that
That is why they view behavior, not in terms of moral agency, but in terms of biological instinct and because of this, they will make excuses and justify the acts of evil persons who should be punished and held accountable for what they do.
They call what is sin a disorder and even worse have even attempted to normalize what is abnormal behavior and an abomination in the sight of God.
They have no idea what it is to truly love.
They have no idea how to apply compassion and empathy.
They preach equality and tolerance but the equality and tolerance they apply is neither equality or tolerance but rather a demand for conformity and supremacy because their founding ideology is one that teaches that there is only predator and prey, the weak and the strong, the inferior and superior.
They do not even know what it is to truly be free.  They think freedom is being able to do whatever it is they want and impose upon everyone what they wish without regard to the consequences and the harm their actions may bring to others.

Before the sexual revolution, the legalization of abortion, gay marriage, and the promotion of transgender surgeries on children, before attempts to force pretended women into women’s respective spaces such as restrooms, locker rooms, shower rooms, and even prisons, and to compel women’s athletics and other women’s organizations to permit men claiming to be women to join them with a total disregard for the safety and privacy of women, before the advocation of open borders with a complete disregard for public safety and national security, before assaults on our first and second amendment rights became far more prevalent in this generation than at any given time in our history, and before socialism gained appeal, the first thing that the left did was remove prayer and scripture reading from the public schools and when that happened, they began to gradually indoctrinate students into a worldview entirely different than what our nation was founded on and entirely different than the worldview upon which rests virtually every tenet of the conservative platform, but even before the removal of prayer and scripture reading from the classroom, they began a direct assault on the existence of God Himself with the use of a work that would, for the worse, have a profound impact on the world and it was a work produced in 1859 by a naturalist named Charles Darwin called On The Origin Of The Species which is credited for what we know as the theory of evolution or Darwinism.

There were similar philosophies on origins before the publication of this work, but unlike Darwin, previous proponents of evolutionary ideas were unable to present a convincing biological mechanism but the reason why Darwin was able to successfully convince the academic and scientific establishments of the day and the populace at large of evolution is that he was able to present a mechanism for how life might have evolved from simple single celled organisms into the immensely and more complex and diverse forms that we see today and when he presented it, it certainly seemed logical and it certainly made sense and it was the very thing that atheists were looking for to convince multitudes that there was no God to whom everything owed its existence, no God to whom anyone would have to give an account, and no afterlife.  They were able to convince many that mankind was nothing more than just some sophisticated animal that was a product of random processes taking place over a period of time whose thoughts, motives, and emotions were nothing more than the result of random chemical reactions, and that right and wrong, good and evil were determined by whatever mankind decided was right and wrong, good and evil which rendered such concepts meaningless because if there is no God to set moral standards, then right and wrong, good and evil might as well not even exist; there might as well only be predator and prey, weak and strong, inferior and superior and that is exactly what evolution teaches.

First, they deemed any belief in supernatural intervention to be unscientific and even irrational.
Then they did away with absolutes which meant that they decided there was no such thing as absolute truth or any absolute moral standard.
Then they decided that what was once forbidden by divine decree was now permissible.
They then went on to excuse evil and immoral acts as being just as much a part of nature as any act of goodness or kindness because as far as they are concerned, as I said before, we are nothing more than sophisticated animals driven by nothing more than animal instinct.

And if there is no God to whom we owe our existence, who is the source of all truth, who sets the rules, and to whom we must answer to, then why not do what we will and what we please without regard to the consequences?
Why not engage in whatever sexual pleasures we want?
Why confine marriage to one man and one woman?
Why not be married to anything we want?
Why not engage in child-sex trafficking?
Why not affirm childhood delusions and deceive them into thinking they can be changed into something they are not?
Why not convince people who think they that were born in the wrong body that their body was a mistake?
Why not discard a spouse simply because he or she doesn’t measure up to what you think they should?
Why not kill your child if they become an inconvenience and if they are making you feel as though you are being held back from certain ambitions?
Why not lie, cheat and steal?
Why not euthanize the elderly, the sick, and those who are mentally and physically disabled because you feel that it is too burdensome and too inconvenient to care for them and to make them live out their days as comfortably as possible?
Why not sleep around with as many people as you want, even you happen to be married?
Why not molest as many children as you want?
Why can’t men and women share the same restrooms, locker rooms, and shower spaces?
Why can’t men and women be on the same athletic teams?
Why have any kind of boundaries at all? Let every person be a law unto themselves.

And that is exactly the worldview and philosophy that conservatives are up against and yet if there is any failure on the part of conservatives, it is because they either don’t know how to defend the platform on which they stand and champion or due to cowardice and apathy, they are unwilling to do so and granted they may have some facts on their side and they may be able to present their platform in such a way that sounds reasonable and logical to point, but that is not always enough.  The foundation upon which the conservative platform rests needs to be restored, defended, and maintained with vigor and that foundation is a divine and biblical one and it is a foundation that conservatives need to start placing their trust and confidence in.  Instead of looking for excuses to not place confidence in that foundation, they need to be looking for reasons to place their confidence in it and defend it aggressively from any and all attacks.

In the early days of our nation, when that foundation came under attack, our founders, including those who weren’t professing Christians vigorously defended it which resulted in the second Great Awakening and the attack upon the Christian foundation came in the form of French infidelity which was atheistic in its worst form and at best deistic and this first attack came with the publication of Thomas Paine’s The Age Of Reason in which Paine denied the existence of a Creator who was actively involved in the affairs of men. [5] It was a work against which Benjamin Franklin had advised Paine against [6] and when it was published, had received widespread condemnation and prompted Elias Budinoit, who had served as President George Washington’s secretary of state to write in refutation of Paine’s Age of Reason, Age Of Revelation. [7]

But it was not the only attack against the Christian faith that had taken place.  There was also a movement underway to remove scripture reading from the schools for which founder Benjamin Rush blamed deists whom he claimed had infiltrated the Church and were attempting to destroy from within what they could not destroy from without:

The present fashionable practice of rejecting the Bible from our schools, I suspect has originated with the deists. They discover great ingenuity in this new mode of attacking Christianity…

I am not writing to this class of people. I despair of changing the opinions of any of them. I wish only to alter the opinions and conduct of those lukewarm, or superstitious Christians, who have been misled by the deists upon this subject. On the ground of the good old custom, of using the Bible as a schoolbook, it becomes us to entrench our religion. It is the last bulwark the deists have left it; for they have rendered instruction in the principles of Christianity by the pulpit and the press, so unfashionable, that little good for many years seems to have been done by either of them. [8]

And the Reverend Timothy L. Dwight, who had served as president of the once Christian college Yale university actively confronted students influenced by French infidelity and after confronting them and making his case for the Christian faith, began winning them over to the faith.

Owing to a variety of causes which it is not necessary to enumerate, the state of Yale College at the time of his
accession to the office of President, was in many respects unhappy.
Destitute in a great degree of public or private patronage, its numbers, were reduced, its discipline was relaxed, a looseness of moral and religious sentiment had’ become fashionable, and its reputation
had been for some time on the decline, through the community.

One of the greatest evils under which it ‘suffered, was an extensive
prevalence of infidelity among the students. This pernicious spirit had been derived from the circumstances of the country at the close of the-preceding war.

As was natural, it found easy access to the minds of a collection of youths, who were fascinated with
ideas of mental as well as political independence, and who were easily induced to shake off what they considered the shackles of habit and superstition.

The degree to which it prevailed may be conjectured from the following fact.

A considerable proportion of the class which he first taught, had assumed the names of the
principal English and French infidels, and were more familiarly known by them than by their own, Under circumstances like these, he entered upon the duties of his office as President of Yale College

The talents which he possessed for the instruction and government of youth were now called into full exercise, A thorough reformation in the system of discipline was early commenced, and
accomplished with as much expedition as the nature of the case
would admit.

Infidelity was assailed by argument, and vanquished; and vice was disgraced, and in a great measure banished from
the College. [9]

The French infidelity infiltration was the first great attack upon the Christian faith in our nation on whose principles the society and culture of this nation was built and it was due to a rigorous defense of the faith that this attack was repelled but the reason why the next attack was not repelled but was much more successful, it is because there was no rigorous defense of the faith as there was the first time around; it is as if the Church had become relatively silent and conservatives had made light of how vitally important the defense of the biblical foundation upon which their respective platform rested and I believe the reason for this is because of the attack on the biblical account of origins which had already been underway and it was an attack that the Church had been wrestling with and which caused even many of whom we might call conservatives to question the biblical account of origins; they did not know how to respond because it sounded reasonable and logical which would either lead to an abandonment of the biblical account of creation altogether or attempts to harmonize evolutionary theory with the biblical account of creation.  But in either defense, a critical defense had been broken down.  If confidence in the biblical account of origins can be shattered, then eventually confidence in the rest of scripture will eventually fall with it and if confidence in the authority of scripture can be broken, then so can confidence in anything that rests upon that foundation.  Destroy the foundation of any given ideology and eventually, you destroy that ideology.

Destroy belief in the existence of a God who is actively involved in the affairs of men, who is the source of truth, who is the decider of what is right and wrong, good and evil, who has determined what the rights and liberties of mankind are, and before whom we must all give an account, then you eventually destroy the Constitutional Republic.

Likewise, destroy Darwinism and atheism, and you eventually destroy ideologies like Communism and atheism.  You will also destroy any justification for all acts that we all recognize to be immoral, evil, unethical, and shameful, and not only that, you will also restore belief in a God who determines what is right and what is wrong, what is good and evil, who determines what the liberties and rights of man are, and before whom all people must answer to, and who is actively involved in the affairs of men and in the process, you eventually restore a free society and in actively maintaining that foundation upon which a free society rests, you maintain the free society.   Even our current President seems understand this better than what many others actually do:

we were a really, people would say, a Christian and really religious, even other faiths country, and that seems to be heading in the wrong direction, and I think as that goes down I think that our country goes down, I really do.  I think this is a country that needs religion it's like the glue that holds it together and we don't we don't have that… [10]

I think our country’s missing a lot of religion. I think it really was a much better place with religion. It was almost a guide. To a certain extent it was a guide. You want to be good to people. Without religion there are no guardrails. I’d love to see us get back to religion, more religion in this country. [11]

Conservatism and liberalism which should be better defined as Constitutionalism and Socialism or Communism are really a clash of two different ideologies and two different worldviews which are symptomatic of an age-long clash between two spirits who have been battling each other over the hearts, minds, and souls of men; one side offering liberty to mankind, the other bent on taking as many souls as he can captive through subtlety and deception and this age-long warfare began even before the creation of the world itself when a certain angel named Lucifer, who had served as a covering cherub at the throne of God, became so lifted up in his pride that he thought he could make himself equal to God and it was this pride of his that led to him and those who had sided with him against God to be cast from their positions in Heaven (Is. 14:11-21, Ezek. 28:12-19) and it was in that day that the fallen cherub Lucifer became known as Satan or the Devil and what he was unable to accomplish in Heaven, he then set out to accomplish in the newly created world.

And when God created the world, there was no death, no evil, no sin, no decay, and no suffering, hardship, grief, sorrow, or pain of any level, degree, severity, or sort because God had created the world to be a perfectly good world in which was only peace, happiness, and contentment and it was a world and universe in which there had existed a perfect and uninterrupted harmony between God, man, and nature and after Satan had been cast from his place in Heaven, he had crept into this world in the form of a serpent and where he caused the first man Adam and the first woman Eve, who was Adam’s wife to commit an astronomically fateful and consequential act of disobedience that would change the good and perfect world that God had made into the world as we presently know it today by deceiving them into eating a fruit from a certain tree that God had warned Adam and Eve to not eat from and the tree whose fruit God had forbidden them to eat from was a tree called the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, having warned them both that in the day that they ate of that fruit, they would surely die (Gen. 2:16-17, 3:3) but Satan who came to them in the form of a serpent falsely assured them that the eating of that fruit would not bring death to them as they had been warned and deceived them into thinking that the eating of that fruit would cause them to attain to greater heights (Gen. 3:4-5) and when they had eaten of that forbidden fruit, instead of attaining to greater heights, they were reduced to a lesser status and the only thing that to which they had been enlightened was the shame that had come upon their nakedness (Gen. 3:7) and instead of being spared the sentence of death that they had been warned of, that very sentence of death for their disobedience was pronounced upon them just as they had been warned (Gen. 3:19) and the lie that led Adam and Eve into that disobedience was the first lie that was ever known to be told which would from that day forth be followed by a multitude of other lies and it was that very lie told that made Satan who told that lie the father of lies (Jn. 8:44) and it was by that lie that he led Adam and Eve into the very transgression that would bring upon them the sentence of death of which they had been warned but the consequences of their disobedience did not stop with just Adam and Eve because the sin that entered into them when they had eaten of that forbidden fruit and which brought upon them the sentence of death was then passed down to the rest of humanity because it is from Adam and Eve that all of mankind descends and because we are all descendants of Adam and Eve, we inherit within ourselves the sin that entered into them (Rom. 5:12) and just as they had eventually died to the sin that entered into them, so we too die as well because of the sin that we inherited from them which is why it is written that the wages of sin is death (Rom. 6:23) and because we all sin, we all die, but the consequences of the transgression do not stop with even mankind because the touch of sin taints, defiles, perverts, corrupts, and destroys all that it touches; such is its pervasiveness which is why the entire creation groans and travails in pain to this very day (Rom. 8:19-22) and the reason for why the death, suffering, grief, sorrow, decay, hardship, evil, and pain that we witness and experience abound in the world today and it is by sin and death that Satan reigns over this present world and by sin and death does he come to steal, kill, and destroy (Jn. 10:10) and it is due to the transgression of Adam that Satan is given justification for claiming lordship over the people, nations, kingdoms, and empires of the world (Mt. 4:8-9, Lk. 4:6-7) which is why he is called the prince of this world (Jn. 12:31, 16:11) and it is upon lies that he builds and maintains his power and it is only truth that weakens and shatters his power which is why Satan will do all in his power and use every resource at his disposal to suppress anything that will discredit the very lies with which he poisons every mind and heart that he can and takes captive every soul that he can because truth detoxifies the mind, cleanses the heart, and sets free the captive soul.

The truth need not fear any challenge to it and it sees no need to silence any dissenting voice, but lies on the other hand resent being questioned and challenged and will seek to silence and stamp out any dissenting voice because the spirit behind every lie knows that if his lies are discredited in the hearts and minds of the souls he takes and keeps captive, his power over them will be broken and the truth that Satan seeks to suppress is the truth that God is not willing that any should perish and be sentenced to eternal damnation but that all would come to repentance, (2 Pet. 3:9) that all would come to repentance, to no longer be estranged from Him but to be reconciled to Him through the cleansing of our sins in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior who came into this world to take away our sins which He did through His death on the cross upon which He was crucified and after having purchased in His death our redemption, was raised again from the dead for our justification (Rom. 4:25) so that we who have placed our faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins may be justified in Him in the sight of God the Father and the reason why it was necessary that Jesus should come into the world to remove the sins of the world is because it is impossible, due to sin within us, that we should be able to redeem ourselves through our own merit and goodness because it is due to sin in us that our own goodness, even at its best, falls short of what is necessary for redemption because no matter how upright we try to be, we all still sin and fall short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23) because sin is not merely a bad act or ill-spoken and corrupt speech, but it is inwardly corrupt condition of our nature that causes within us that which is in violation of what God created us to be.

Sin influences not just the acts and behavior manifested, but also the very thoughts of the mind, the motives behind all that is said and done and because it is the condition of our very nature, it is the very reason why it is written that we are not defiled by the things from without but by the things that are from within (Mt. 15:11, 18-20) and why it is that God desires not just a change in the outward performance, but an inward cleansing (Mt. 23:26) which is made possible, not by our own efforts to cleanse ourselves because even our best efforts, due to sin within us, will always fall short, but only in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior in whom there is no sin (2 Cor. 5:21, Heb. 4:15) for it is due to His sinlessness that He was able to take upon Himself the demanded penalty for sin and it was in His death and in His resurrection that both the demanded penalty was satisfied and mercy was given on behalf of inherently sinful man and it is this redemption that Satan seeks to keep as many people as he can from because it is this redemption that cleanses the soul and brings an inward transformation within us (2 Cor. 5:17) that causes us to no longer desire to follow after selfish and worldly pursuits but after those things that pertain to the Kingdom of Heaven,
to no longer take pleasure in those things that are evil and displeasing in the sight of the Lord, but in that which is good, right, and pleasing in His sight,
to no longer desire to walk in the lies of this present world, but only in the truth that comes from Christ Almighty who is the source of all truth, (Jn. 14:6)
no longer placing our hopes in the things of this present world, but looking forward to that new and better world to come, (Rev. 21-22)
to no longer rely on worldly resources, men, or even our own power, abilities, skills, and wisdom for our needs and provision but upon God who is able to meet all of our needs, recognizing that the resources of this world and even the people He brings into our lives are but instruments and vessels through which God meets our needs and that the skills, power, knowledge, and wisdom by which we might acquire our provision are provided and instilled in us by God, (Mt. 6:25-33)
to no longer fear what men can do to us, but rather fearing the God before whom we will have to one day give an account for how we lived our lives, (Mt. 10:28)
to no longer look to corruptible institutions within our society for direction and order in our lives but to God who, by His written Word has given us laws and precepts to be applied to our lives and which serve to produce and maintain an ordered life, and who, by His Holy Spirit which comes to dwell within us upon repentance, establishes in our lives a course and direction in our lives to pursue for His glory,
to no longer seek our own glory but the glory of God,
to no longer rally behind corruptible men, but instead behind the incorruptible God in Heaven bearing in mind that those men and women God raises up for our edification are but instruments and servants of His for that respective purpose to which He has called them,
to no longer seek to align ourselves with the things of darkness but only with the things of the light,
to no longer trust in the wisdom of the world but only on the wisdom and knowledge that comes from above, (Jas. 1:5) nor depend on corruptible earthly authorities to swiftly administer justice, but only in the power of God to deliver us from evil.

I am going to ask that if you have a desire to be a force for good in the world and not evil, and that if you have not done so already, to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins because the good that we want to see take place in this world starts with a change in you that is only possible through Jesus Christ who is able to transform our inward person for the better if we will but invite Him to do so and this inward transformation begins by the removal of all of our sins when we, in sincere repentance, call upon the name of the Lord Jesus for the forgiveness of sins, and that is just a simple prayer of repentance away:

"Lord Jesus I need you.

I realize that I am a sinner
who has fallen short of the glory of God
and that my goodness falls short
of your standard of Moral perfection.

Please forgive me of all of my sins.
Come into my heart and into my life
to be the Savior and Lord of my life.
Make me into the servant and follower
that you want me to be.
In your name Lord Jesus, I pray.

Amen."

Know that God is not concerned with the words that you use to call upon Him forgiveness, but with the attitude of your heart and if you have, with all sincerity, have asked Christ to forgive you of your sins, placing your trust in Him only for your salvation and in nothing else, then your sins are forgiven and your place in Heaven is certain.
