If We Want An Honest Education...

We need an education that is honest.
We need an education without an agenda except to instill knowledge and wisdom in the students.
We need an education that is factual.
We need an education that is fair, objective, and taught with as little bias as possible.
We need an education in which our children not taught what to think and believe in,
but instead are taught how to think things through in such a manner so as to form and shape their own personal convictions which is only made possible when they are taught about not just the favored narratives, doctrines, and philosophies of the day, but also those which dissent from that which is widely held and the case made for each.
We need an education that teaches the distinction between knowledge and wisdom.
We need an education that enables and empowers the production of productive, contributing, morally upright people.
But in order for there to be such an education, the fear and reverence of the Lord God who made heaven and earth, and all that is in them must be included in the learning for as it is written, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Ps. 111:10) and knowledge (Prov. 1:7) for it is the Lord God who is the source of all wisdom and all knowledge, and not any man who is but of limited understanding and whose wisdom and knowledge is finite, errant, and corruptible.

But when that source of wisdom and knowledge is abandoned, then so is the wisdom and knowledge thereof to the point that those brought up under the public education system are not sure if they are a boy or a girl, are taught that 2+2 might equal 3 or 5, and that skin color determines whether or not you are good or evil rather than the thoughts and intents of the heart.
The best education is one that is founded upon the fear and reverence of God Almighty who is the definer of what is right and wrong, good and evil, holy and unholy, just and unjust, pure, and corrupt and from whom springs forth those laws and moral standards designed for the good of all and which are necessary for the maintaining of order and peace for though there be some who don’t think they need God to be productive law-abiding upright citizens, most DO need God as the basis for morality because it is before this God whom we must stand to give an account for everything we have done in this life and the manner in which we are judged will not be according to the laws and traditions of men, but in accordance to the law of God and whether or not a man seeks to honor and please God in all things will determine not only the course of his life but also where he spends his eternity, for the day is coming when the Almighty will divide the righteous from the wicked and will bring those righteous before Him into the promised Kingdom but the wicked and unbelieving, He will cast into everlasting fire where they will be tormented forever and ever. (Mt. 25:31-46)

But when, at the best of evil decrees, the reverence of God and the study of His scriptures from which receive His moral laws, standards, and precepts, was expelled from our public education, so did the knowledge and ability to raise up students to be moral, productive, upright citizens because without the fear of God, there remains no incentive in men to do that which is good and pleasing in the eyes of God but only what is right in his own eyes regardless of the consequences and the harm done to the people around him.

Is it any wonder then that promiscuity should run rampant among our youth?
Should we at all be surprised when a disgruntled student brings a gun to school and opens fire on his fellow classmates?
Should it be considered and unprecedented thing that lawlessness now abounds in the hearts of our young people?
Their minds have been poisoned against that which is good and led to embrace that which is evil.
They are counseled to place their faith and trust in things that can offer them no clear direction in life, no fulfilling purpose, nor any lasting peace in their lives and because of this they give themselves over to harmful practices and substances that, rather than provide them the relief that they need from the pains of life, heartaches, and despair, only in the end drive them to a miserable end and to the damnation of their souls for all eternity because they have been led to believe that they are no more or less significant than any beast and if they are led to believe that their lives are no more or less important than the animals or that they are nothing more than just a sophisticated beast rather than made in the image of God (Gen. 1:26-28) why should it be any wonder at all if they should act so beastly or worse than any beast?

For when God is put out of our learning, then so goes wisdom and reason is exchanged for madness, reality for a delusion, and truth for a lie and even worse that which might dispel the delusions, discredit the lies, and restore sanity and reason to our academic establishments is suppressed by those powers that have no love of God nor have the fear of Him in them, nor will they allow it to enter into those might otherwise receive it.

What they have taken for wisdom is foolishness,
for reality, delusion,
for truth, a lie,
and for enlightenment, ignorance, blindness, and darkness.

That is what man becomes apart from God: foolish, ignorant, deluded, deceived, confused, immoral, lawless, depraved, perverse, and without any sense of direction and so such is reflected in the manner of his education which, without God, has nothing to offer in hope, peace, and a sense of direction nor will it be able to offer the wisdom needed to apply the knowledge that is acquired.

And what is society becoming as a result of excluding God from our learning?

An unstable, deluded, ignorant, foolish, lawless, disorderly, immoral, chaotic, perverse, and depraved society and one lacking in a sense of purpose and direction.  That’s what.  And is that the kind of society that we want to become?  Most would probably say no, but how many are willing to return to the God who is able to restore order, bring peace, instill purpose, and impart wisdom and knowledge that is able to enlighten the mind, and whose truth is able to discredit every lie and dispel every delusion?

If enough are willing to do so, only then will we see eventual change in our academic system for the better and in turn see a change in our society for the better but those who continue to resist and rebel against the call of God to repentance from wicked, failed, and worthless ways will only continue to wander around in spiritual, moral, and intellectual darkness unable to find anything that will be able to adequately address every problem of life or meet every need because only God with whom all things are possible is able to do what nothing else ever can since all power and all wisdom is in His hand and therefore, it is to Him we must look for the wisdom and understanding we need to navigate us through this present life with all its troubles and not on our own understanding which is limited and subject to error (Prov. 3:5) or the wisdom of this present world which is subject to foolishness, fails to offer any meaningful solutions, and offers remedies worse than the disease itself; never addressing the root cause of the problems of life which is spiritual and has always been a spiritual problem, starting from the very day when the first man Adam, and the first woman, Eve, had, against the command of the Lord God who made the heavens of the earth, partaken of fruit from a certain tree called the tree of the knowledge of good and evil which was forbidden to them thinking that its fruit would enlighten them, but instead, it brought to them shame, corrupted them, and eventually, as they were warned, (Gen. 2:16-17, 3:3) caused them to die, but the sentence of death was not confined to just them, but because the sin, being that corruption of the inward man, which entered into Adam and Eve was then passed down to all of mankind who descends from that first couple, all sin (Rom. 5:12) and as a consequence, all die (Rom. 6:23) and with death came a curse upon all of mankind and all of creation which resulted in the present condition of this world which is but a shell of and a departure from what God intended it to be; (Rom. 8:19-22) all because man thought that he could seek empowerment and enlightenment apart from the instruction of God and just as it never ended well for Adam and Eve, it never ends well for any person or any society that thinks that they do not need to incorporate the knowledge and truth of God in their learning and worst of all, it will never end well eternally for anyone who thinks they do not need God to be enlightened or who insists on doing as they will rather than abiding in the truth and instruction that comes from God and a day is coming when all sin, all evil, all rebellion against God, and all unbelief will face judgment when such reaches its full measure at which point this present world system will be swept away to make way for a new and better world in which evil does not reign but in which goodness and light dominate but in His love for us all God is not willing that any of us should face judgment or die in our sins, but that all would come to repentance (2 Pet. 3:9) and in His mercy He has, on our behalf, provided that offering in Christ Jesus who came to earth to serve as that needed and required sacrifice needed to take away the sins of the world; the sinless Christ (2 Cor. 5:21, Heb. 4:15) suffering the required penalty on behalf of sinful man and then afterwards, was raised from the dead so we would be justified in Him (Rom. 4:25) for because our own goodness, even at its best, falls short of what God requires (Rom. 3:23) due to sin being ever present in us, it is by the goodness and grace of Christ by our faith in Him for our redemption that we are saved (Eph. 2:8-9) and it is in Him that we are transformed into the new person that we are supposed to be in Him; (2 Cor. 5:17) no longer living in darkness but filled with His light, no longer in perpetual despair, but filled with His Hope, no longer simply existing, but instead pursuing after those dreams that He has filled our hearts and souls with to His glory, no longer living for ourselves, but living for Him and the coming Kingdom that He has promised, no longer desiring the riches and honors of this world, but only that which Heaven can give, no longer placing our full trust in men who are subject to error and corruption, but instead placing our full faith and trust in our God who is without error and incorruptible, no longer adhering to the lies that abound in this present world, but only to the truth of God, no longer standing upon the authority of corrupt and errant doctrines and philosophies, but upon the authority of the Word of God, no longer doing those thing wicked and evil in the sight of the Lord, but only those things that are good and pleasing to Him and seeking to honor and glorify Him in everything, no longer trusting in our own understanding, but that which comes from God to any who ask Him, and no longer going forth in our own power, but in the power and authority of God.

And just as our souls are cleansed from sin and we are spiritually transformed so that we may be made into the servants and followers of Christ that we need to be, we also look forward to the day when these bodies of ours, which are presently subject to death, are changed from that which is corruptible in which sin dwells, into that which is incorruptible and in which sin does not dwell and which will never die or decay, (1 Cor. 15:51-55, 1 Thess. 4:13-18) and finally, we look forward to the day when creation itself is liberated from the curse that came upon it because of sin when it is made anew and into a place where there is no sin, no death, decay, evil, misery, suffering, pain, sorrow, grief, or hardship of any kind but only goodness, love, peace, joy, life, light, and happiness before the Lord God Almighty who will in that day make His dwelling place among men. (Rev. 21-22)

But that promised Kingdom that we long for begins inside of us the day that we call upon Christ to be our Savior and Lord for in order for us to be made citizens thereof, we must undergo that inward spiritual transformation to make us ready to enter into that Kingdom and that beautiful world to come and the more of us who are willing to repent of our sins and surrender ourselves over to Christ, the greater of a change for the better the better of a change for the better that we will see in our own lives, households, neighborhoods, communities, respective states and provinces, and then each respective nation and with that, we should see a change for the better in our places of worship, in our academic system and how education is taught, in how news is reported, in how our private sector operates, in the quality of our entertainment and what is affirmed thereby, and finally, in our politics, how we choose our leaders and representatives, and the manner of government we have over us.
If you want to be a part of the solution and not a part of the problem, it begins with a right spirit in Christ Jesus.  If you seek to alter the course of your life, it begins with surrendering yourself over to Jesus.  If you desire lasting purpose and a sure sense of direction in your life, it begins by surrendering yourself over to Jesus.  If you desire assurance as to your eternal fate, then call upon the name of Jesus Christ today for salvation.  All it takes is a simple prayer:

"Lord Jesus I need you.

I realize that I am a sinner
who has fallen short of the glory of God
and that my goodness falls short
of your standard of Moral perfection.

Please forgive me of all of my sins.
Come into my heart and into my life
to be the Savior and Lord of my life.
Make me into the servant and follower
that you want me to be.
In your name Lord Jesus, I pray.

Amen."

Know that God is not concerned with the words that you use to call upon Him forgiveness, but with the attitude of your heart and if you have, with all sincerity, have asked Christ to forgive you of your sins, placing your trust in Him only for your salvation and in nothing else, then your sins are forgiven and your place in Heaven is certain.
