Critic Of Israel Adds A Disclaimer To Her Post About An Unverified Statement Attributed To Benjamin Netanyahu

 



“Christina”, a writer for a platform called Saviors Of Earth,  is not necessarily a supporter of Israel by any means but she at least does well in adding the disclaimer to her particular post stating that the actions of some Jews (Jewish elites in particular) are not reflective of the interests of most Jews and while I have been on record in supporting Israel’s right to exist as a nation, to defend themselves against any and all legitimate threats to their existence, and their historic and divine claim to the land that was given to their forefathers, I am not opposed to criticism and scrutiny to the actions of their respective government provided that the charges made against them or certain figures within the Israeli government are valid and substantiated by solid documented evidence and are not based on just antisemitic propaganda.
 
But if we are going to criticize Israel for any wrongdoing, provided that any accusations of wrongdoing are proven to have a factual basis, it is important that we do add a disclaimer that the actions of some Israelis or some Jews are not necessarily representative of Jewish people or Israeli people as a whole and that we still support their right to exist as a nation and a people within their own land and to defend themselves against all legitimate threats.
 
It is one thing to criticize the actions or statements of certain individuals or entities within a nation or within a segment of the world population, but it is an entirely different matter when an entire group of people are blamed and held accountable for the bad actions of a few.
 
As for the alleged statement made by Benjamin Netanyahu featured in Christina’s post that makes him out to admitting hatred for America and exploiting the nation to his own end, the authenticity of that statement has been disputed.  The alleged quote depicts Netanyahu as stating:
 
 
 
 
America is a golden calf and we will suck it dry, chop it up, and sell it off piece by piece until there is nothing left but the world's biggest welfare state that we will create and control. Why? Because it is the will of God, and America is big enough to take the hit so we can do it again and again and again. This is what we do to countries that we hate. We destroy them very slowly and make them suffer for refusing to be our slaves. [1]
 
 
 
 

The alleged statement has been widely propagated by antisemites for the purpose of delegitimizing the existence of Israel as a nation and was based on an alleged recording of Netanyahu at Fink’s bar in Jerusalem but as to this day, no official transcript has ever been produced to verify whether or not he actually said this, but even if he did, that in and of itself would not be enough to disqualify Israel as a legitimate nation nor would it delegitimize the ancestral ties that the Jewish people have to that region or their right to be there nor would it prove that they are all evil. 
 
It would only prove that one of their members is evil, but nothing more, but again, I repeat, that unless the alleged statement made by Netanyahu against America can be proven to be authentic by way of an official transcript, he cannot be rightfully accused of saying those things for certain as even alleged statements can be fabricated and falsely attributed to persons who never said the things attributed to them or were accused of saying in the first place.
