Contender’s Edge, through July 4th , will be sharing each day a prayer on behalf of our nation from a representative of each of our fifty states. The event began on May 15th and will end July 4th . For more information on this event visit the following:
“I’m Bill Elliff
from the Summit family of churches in Arkansas. Would you pray with me?
Precious Father, thank You for the privilege of coming right into Your presence, because Jesus Christ has made a way for our sins to be forgiven. We can talk to You and have peace facing You.
And Lord, we come to You with a big prayer. We pray for a mighty spiritual awakening among the next generation.
We pray, Father, that You would deliver them from the lies that we have given to them: that there is no God, that they are their own creator, and they can decide who they can be and what they can do with their lives.
Father, we thank You that we see a great spiritual awakening happening among the young.
We thank You for the rise of prayer.
We thank You for the return to the Bible as their final authority for life.
We praise You that we hear a nation of students praising You again.
And Lord, we pray You would awaken them to their great purpose, to live in the presence of Christ and to bring the presence of Christ to those around them.
And now, O Lord, we pray You would explode Your work among that generation in our day, and raise up a mighty army that would take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every tongue and tribe and nation, and that Your glory would cover the earth, like the waters cover the sea.
In Jesus’ precious Name, amen.”
