Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 5

Laurie of Harvest Church in Riverside, California:
“Greg Laurie here
from the great state of California. And I want to pray for our nation and also
for our president. Let's pray together.
Father, You’ve
given us an amazing promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14, where You say, ‘If My people,
which are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face,
and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from Heaven and forgive their sin
and heal their land.’
Lord, would You
heal our land? Help us to humble ourselves. Help us to pray and seek Your face
and turn from our wicked ways.
Lord, we need a
spiritual awakening. We can’t think of any other hope apart from that for
America as we celebrate 250 years as a nation.
And Lord, we do
pray for our president. Lord, as You know, there have been three assassination
attempts against President Donald Trump. Thank You for preserving him, and we
pray that You will continue to protect him.
Give him wisdom.
Give him guidance. Surround him with godly people who will help him.
You tell us in
Scripture, ‘When the righteous rule, the people will rejoice.’ You also tell
us, ‘Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord.’
So, Lord, we’re
praying for a blessing, protection, and wisdom for our president and Your
blessing on our nation. As we often sing, we now pray, God bless America.”
