Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 6
Nick Cady, Pastor
of White Fields Community Church in Longmont, Colorado:
“Hi, my name is
Nick Cady from Colorado. Would you please join me in prayer?
Lord God, we come
before You to lift up the mayors of cities across America. Your Word says that
when the righteous are in authority, people rejoice. So, Lord, we pray that You
would raise up leaders who will govern with integrity and justice and wisdom and
humility.
Lord, we ask that
You give our mayors discernment as they make decisions that affect families and
neighborhoods and businesses. We pray that You would protect them and
strengthen them in the face of temptation. We pray that You would surround them
with wise counsel.
Lord, we also pray
for our leaders in Colorado as they make decisions about the sanctity of life
and protections for children and families, and for religious freedom.
Lord, we pray that
righteousness and truth would prevail, what is good would be upheld. Father,
our nation needs spiritual renewal. And so we pray for revival and awakening
across America.
Pour out Your
Spirit on our churches. Bring repentance for their sin, healing where there is
brokenness, and hope where there is despair. May many people come to know Jesus
Christ as Savior and Lord.
And may Your grace
and truth shape our lives and our nation.
We pray this in
Jesus’ Name, amen.”
