Contender’s Edge, through July 4^th will be sharing each day a prayer, on behalf of our nation, from a representative from each of our fifty states.  The event began on May 15^th and will end July 4^th.

One Prayer From Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 23
 
 
Jonathan Parnell, Pastor of Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota:
 
 
 
“Hi, my name is Jonathan Parnell from St. Paul, Minnesota. Let’s pray together.
 
Father in Heaven, You are the giver of all good gifts, and today we thank You for the many gifts that You have given this nation over the last 250 years. Father, we thank You especially for the gift of good men. And we ask now, would You give us more?
 
For the millions of young men in our country right now, would You save them? Make Jesus Christ to be their all-consuming passion and their all-satisfying treasure. And would You give them all they need to lead this next generation in courage and in wisdom, in truth and in love? Father, would You put it in their hearts to honor Christ, whatever the cost? Put it in their hearts to spread His Gospel in this nation and around the world.
 
We ask this in Jesus’ Name, amen.”
