I had intended to write this post earlier in the month, but some developments that have been placed upon my heart arose that I felt the need to share with any followers and interested readers. The Contender's Edge blogsite was in full operation July 1, 2019 and therefore I have counted July 1 to be officially the one year anniversary of this site.
Contender's Edge was designed for the purpose of preaching the saving Gospel of Christ, teaching and defending the Word of God as authoritative in all that it teaches and address, providing news items and info useful in assisting fellow saints in giving as reasoned of a defense for the faith as can possibly be done; the defense of the faith also known as apologetics, and sharing news and info, primarily Christian and Bible-related, that the MSM is either not fully covering or is not covering at all.Over the past year, Contender's Edge has received at least 2,164 views.

I don't know what the overall future will be for Contender's Edge as far as its status goes or how far God wants to take it, but what amount of attention it is meant to receive is all in God's hands. My only purpose is simply to use this site in a manner that is good and pleasing in His sight and to make use of the gifts that He has given me.
I do not count myself as being a very eloquent speaker and therefore my ability to communicate all that needs to be said comes a lot better through my writing. The creation and establishment of Contender's Edge has all been based upon a step of faith in pursuit of a calling I believe God placed in my heart and soul.
I knew this blog would not necessarily be much to look at since I do not have any experience in website or graphic design, or CGI and so I was led to start out small and simple. It is clearly the work of an amateur. If the Lord wills it, what I would like to do would be upgrade Contender's Edge to a more independent platform and provide a better design for the Home Page, but I do know that is going to take technological experience and even financing that I do not have.
I would also love nothing more than to spend the better part of every day preaching the Gospel and teaching the Word but when you have to depend on other means to pay your bills and are assisting in managing ranch property, I do not always have the time that I would like to have to post new content. For now, I have decided on settling for a goal of updating this blogsite with new content, at least once a week. If the Lord empowers me to be able to do more than that, then I will.
There are other things that I would like to include on this blogsite, but those projects are far too large for me to do alone and would require a team to assist and in fact, there are projects that I have had to set aside for now after finding that they were just too big for me to handle by myself.
I will be soon be making changes to some of my pages, including adding some new news source links to my "Links" page and will announce those added news links soon.
I will also look into attempting to add more payment options for those who feel led to donate to the site. PayPal, at this time, is was the only payment option I was able to easily set up.

As many within the Christian community may know, prominent purity leader Joshua Harris and his wife both renounced their faith and Christ and as a consequence, divorced, and Hillsong's Marty Sampson admitted that he was struggling with his and while we do not know for sure the reason why the Harris's walked away from their professed faith, the reasons why Marty Sampson was on the verge of losing his faith is basically no different that why many other people in the Church lose theirs and a large part of it has to do with the fact that churches are not prepared to answer the intellectually and philosophically challenging questions and arguments that their congregants, especially the younger people raised in the church but whom their parents have entrusted to the public education system by which many of them have been indoctrinated and poisoned against the truth of the Gospel because their professed faith was not prepared to withstand the lies and arguments designed to undermine confidence in the authority of the scriptures and with that, the message of the Gospel.
Often times we may be confronted with questions like:
1. Why does the Bible have so many contradictions?
2. Why would a loving God send so many people to Hell?
3. Why is there so much evil and suffering in the world?
4. What about dinosaurs?
5. Scientists claim the universe to be billions of years old.
6. What about the transitional links in the fossil record?
And that is just to name a few. And I am not saying that this is the only reason. There are a lot of reasons why people leave the Church or do not embrace the faith. Another main reason is lack of accountability within the Church and failure on the part of many professors of the faith to show them set apart from the sinful dark world as we are commanded to be (Rom. 12:1)
There is also a generational gap between millennials and the older generations. Millennials feel as though the Church does not care about them, that it is all talk and no action, and that the priorities of the Church are not what they should be.
Sadly, for the most part, those charges are valid: Our priority needs to be including the Gospel in all that we do. We do need to show the people we intend to reach for Christ that we do care for them as He cares for them, and that our talk needs to be backed by action.
Accountability must be made paramount within our ranks and while we must be welcoming to the sinner, we cannot welcome the sin. If they would be a part of us, it must be made clear to them that their life must reflect the faith they claim to have adopted and therefore, certain code of conduct must be demanded of them just as scripture demands of all of us.
An important question for interested readers and followers
The title, "Contender's Edge was inspired by Jude 3, a passage of scripture which commands us to "earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" as well as the following passages:
Deuteronomy 8:3, Matthew 4:4: "man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live."
Deuteronomy 30:12-14: "It is not in heaven that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear and do it? Before publishing my blog, I checked both copyright and trademark records to make sure that no one else was on record of possessing the same title that I had. As I proceeded to get my title copyrighted, I had discovered a development of which I had not become aware until after the blogsite was in full operation. I decided to do search-engine search one day and found that the search engines were manipulating the title I had chosen in such a way so as to make it appear to pertain to things that it does not which I address in the following posts:

I have since attempted to pursue other names for the blogsite that come to mind, but I have not been able to find another name that has not been manipulated by search engine results in some way, but whatever my decision, I want a title that reflects what inspired my current title in the first place.
A title change is not a decision I take lightly and if I did do that, it would take time for the changes to be reflected in my social media accounts since changing user names can be difficult to do in some cases, but because Contender's Edge does pride itself in its transparency and integrity, this has been a concern to me due to the fact that search engine manipulations could make it appear as though I am doing something dishonest when in reality, that has never been my intent.
Despite this apparent obstacle, I decided, after much prayer, to not allow myself to be distracted and continued to proceed to carry out this site's objective to the best of my ability while still searching for a name not easily manipulated but until that time comes, my current title still remains, but what might influence my final decision either way would be input from any supportive readers and followers as to what I should do regarding my title based upon what I have told you already.
Should I keep it? Or should I continue to seek out another name? Either way, I want whatever is going to keep this blogsite beyond unnecessary reproach. I do not know how much this attention this blogsite is destined to get, but should it rise to a level of prominent influence, I am well aware that my current title could be problematic due to the search engine manipulations and therefore, ask for your prayers and I am open to any suggestions you feel led to give.
But, as I said earlier, I chose the title for my blog on the basis for the passion that I have for the Word of God, the preaching of a sound uncompromised Gospel, and apologetics because I wanted a title that would reflect the mission of this blogsite but this has caused me to question whether or not I was too quick in publishing this blog but yet did so due to a sense of urgency, fearing that the time was just too short to wait any longer.
The Coverstone Dreams
Now, these things I take with a grain of salt, but it seems that many people have been having prophetic dreams lately about the next four years and the end of the world. Some prophesy a "Great Awakening" (would be nice) and others foresee terrible times coming upon America and the rest of the world.
And that brings me to share about a video produced by a Pastor named Dana Coverstone in which he shares three prophetic dreams. He says he had these dreams in December of last year in which he had seen the coming of the Corona virus in March and the riots and armed protests in June.

What makes me skeptical about his visions is that he posted the video on June 24, long after both had happened. And the riots did not begin in June. They actually began toward the end of May, nor were most of the rioters and protesters armed with guns like he saw; only a small number have had guns, most notably the ANTIFA/BLM protesters and rioters who had armed security at what they once had was an autonomous zone in Seattle called CHAZ, then renamed to CHOP before it was finally dismantled. Another group that had guns was a group of BLMs who marched on a National Park in the state of Georgia.
While I do believe that God does raise up prophets (1 Cor. 12:28-29) I am not one to blindly believe every professed prophecy given or every vision shared as the scripture says to test all things (1 Thess. 5:21) and to try the spirits (1 Jn. 4:1) because not every vision comes from God and not every professed prophet is sent of the Lord.
Now to Coverstone's credit, he does not claim to be a prophet. He understands that his visions for the rest of the year may not come to pass or come to pass the way he saw them come to pass. But he seems genuine and he may very well have had these dreams but whether they all come to pass remains to be seen, which is why that while I am not expecting everyone to blindly believe his visions, at the same time, to dismiss them out of hand would be most unwise.
Moving on to September, Coverstone believes that something else is about to take place in the month of September. Now, in his first prophetic video, he does not mention what it was that was going to take place, but in another video, he claimed that there would be another pandemic to come upon the world but one worse than COVID-19.
And finally, moving on to November, Coverstone, once again, sees more unrest in the streets, but this time worse than what has been taking place. Not only did he see what he described as being a full-blown civil war, but he also saw Chinese, Russian, and UN forces on U.S. soil in Washington D.C., the White House dark and empty (evacuated presumably), politicians behind the scenes celebrating the fulfillment of backdoor deals and making more plans. He also saw the demise of our currency and what appeared to gargoyles attacking people (the gargoyles being presumably symbolic of demonic attacks probably)

There has been a lot of fear of where the national coin shortage could lead to and some believe that it could lead to hyper-inflation. But once again, rumors about the national coin shortage were circulating before Coverstone had posted his video. According to the government, COVID-19 has been the reason for the national coin shortage, and for those of you who have an understanding of basic economics, producing less of a currency, in and of itself does not necessarily cause hyper-inflation, but in his first video, Coverstone mentioned a dream that he had in which the President of his respective bank told him that the treasury was no longer minting coins and that soon 1 and 5 dollar bills would follow. She told him to prepare for hyper-inflation, which, according to his dream, is to take place in November along with the massive unrest.

Now a limitation on the production of coins may not be necessarily anything to worry about, but, if they stop producing the coins altogether and then proceed to stop producing the small dollar bill amounts, then I would say we are going to have a major problem. We will know one way or another in the coming months ahead. But if that does happen, then I think we, as a people need to start demanding answers from our Treasury Department.
After watching the videos, granted that massive unrest on account of the November elections is not out of the realm of possibility, but how would Chinese and Russian soldiers possibly be able to invade the mainland Unite States without facing heavy resistance and suffering massive casualties from both military and an armed civilian alike? The only way that foreign forces could possibly invade would be if there were an attack on our power grid and a disruption of communications and that is a very legitimate concern. Another possibility is that neither of the two nations Coverstone saw in his dream invade directly, but instead may conduct their operations by way of proxy-militias, as suggested by the following news items:
The aforementioned items were not only frightening but infuriating and the infuriating part of it is that no one seems to be doing anything about the threats, criminal, and even treasonous activity reported. No news of Russian involvement yet, but the above mentioned surely describes those very precedents that could very well bring Coverstone's nightmarish visions to come to pass unless something is done very soon to prevent it and it is preventable. The problem is that our government, even under Donald Trump, doesn't seem to be doing anything about the impending foreign sponsored insurrection.
Now as you do a YouTube search on David Coverstone, you will find those claiming that his visions are showing America's end, but Coverstone never goes so far as to say that America will be destroyed.

Assuming that his visions are chronological in order, Pastor Coverstone also was allegedly given a vision about the coming persecution of the Church in America.

According to the way he describes it, it appears that the nation has somehow recovered from the war and economic collapse that he claims may come to pass later this year and the way he describes the coming persecution is that before it begins, many are intensely preaching the Gospel in its purity and that the persecution he foresees taking place appears to be gradual, becoming more intense over a period of time. But the persecution is not brought by those from without the Church, but by those who have been in the Church but have either never given themselves over to Christ or, if they had, have turned away from Him.
The vision ends with angry mobs surrounding the churches of congregations, harassing and assaulting the faithful and Christians being arrested and brought before judges pronouncing upon them unspecified sentences for their faith.
No doubt when we read chapters like Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, 2 Thessalonians 2:3, 1 Timothy 4:1:3, and 2 Timothy 2:3:1-3, 4:3-4, no doubt that the world is inevitably going to become more wicked as time goes on and in fact, it is in greater darkness now than it has been in past times, and our Lord also has warned that the time would come when all men would hate us on account of the name of Christ, and no follower of Christ in any nation is exempt from persecution nor from any season of persecution, and according to Daniel and the book of Revelation, there is clearly coming a time to come upon all the earth in which wickedness and darkness will reach to such heights not seen since the days of Noah, and the destruction that will take place will be far worse than anything that Coverstone described in his dreams.
But those foretelling and promoting a last days revival will point to passages like Joel 2:28-29 and Acts 2:17-18 which do indeed suggest that such could take place, but how do we reconcile such passages with those which foretell increasing evil and darkening times other than that both must somehow be true in that in the midst of growing evil, a spiritual may also take place as well.
And if the arrests that Trump supporters are hoping for and that are being predicted by Q Anon operatives should take place at any given time, that would clearly be a whole different ball-game altogether and may possibly alter the course of events seen in Coverstone's dream, but in order for that to happen, the arrests would have to happen before the election, not afterward.
The advice that Coverstone gives to his viewers in the event that his visions do come to pass is for us to stock up on guns, ammo, food, water, and if possible, buy gold which we should be doing anyway if we can, even in times of peace and prosperity in case disaster and evil times come.
But if the events that Coverstone believes will come to pass, do not come to pass as he claims to have been shown, or at least within the time frame given, then obviously the vision he had was not from God. Even he admits the possibility of that and has placed his reputation on the line to share what he claims God has shown him.
Nevertheless, we need to be deeply in prayer for our nation and for our leadership, including our President and for his protection. The man has been a blessing and a vessel of God's grace upon this nation and his placement in power has granted America a reprieve, but we dare not take that reprieve for granted. We have reached a point in our history where the liberties we hold dear are one or two elections away from being lost. Pray for the best, but at the same prepare and brace yourselves for the worst.
If President Trump wins, then the evils that come, will likely be minimal. But if Biden wins, then we will be in for some very evil and difficult times and if we are to have any hope of retaining our liberties, we need to prepare ourselves for a very long and bloody war.
Another thing that I believe God placing on my heart that if a wicked power is placed power, we need to find some way of letting Israel know that she still has friends, even when powers hostile to her take power, affirming that what God has given into her possession and destined to give into her possession, rightfully belongs to her for our Lord has promised a blessing to those who stand with Israel and warns of a curse against those who stand against them. (Gen. 12:3)
In doing, so, it may be God will look upon it as He judges the wicked. God set apart the Israelites as a nation and people unto Himself, not on the basis of their merit, but upon the promises He made to their ancestors for their faithfulness to Him. He has also promised to preserve them forever and to never allow them to cease from being a nation and a people (Mal. 3:6) and declares that though many of them remain in unbelief at the present time, they will eventually come to repentance and place their trust in Christ our Lord (Rom. 11:26) though it may take a lot for them to do so. (Zech. 12-14)
If God fulfills His promises to one group of people, we can be sure that He will fulfill His promises to the rest of us, for He who promises is faithful. (Heb. 10:23)
We should always take a stand against anti-Semitism whenever it rears its ugly head at any given time and in any given season but should the worse case scenario, we need to be ready to aid the Jews who are among us in whatever way we can and find a way to maintain strong ties with Israel as they have been and will always be a most important friend and ally and her enemies are also our enemies. Let us pray fervently for the peace of Jerusalem and our own nation.
Safe Guarding Our Freedoms
Should the mercy of our Lord be extended and our President be given another term, and if enough godly and principled men and women are elected to representative positions in government, then we need to be hard at work at maintaining the ground gained and at capitalizing and building upon the accomplishments made and the precedents set.
Should we allow ourselves to become complacent at any given time, we may end up losing the ground we have already gained and should God grant us the space to do so, then it has been pressed upon me to recommend the following:
MAKE THE FIRST AND SECOND AMENDMENTS OF OUR CONSTITUTION UNCHANGEABLE AND UNREPEALABLE.
For any of you who may have been following on social media platforms like, you may have found me calling for that before on a number of different occasions and there is a reason for that. Even if our current President should succeed in packing the courts with enough God-fearing and principled justices, I foresee that the forces of darkness will attempt to repeal those very foundational amendments, and possibly our entire Constitution altogether, vital for the preservation of a Democratic Republic and a representative government which we must do our best to retain until the God who made all things comes to reign upon this earth. (Rev. 19-22)
I know that making the First and Second Amendments of our Constitution unchangeable and unrepealable may be a long shot effort, but not necessarily an impossible one and a worthy goal that we must relentlessly and aggressively pursue. It requires three fourths of all state legislatures to ratify an amendment, there is nothing in the Constitution that says that it takes three-fourths to repeal an amendment; just a simple majority. And that is why it has been placed upon my heart to strongly recommend that we pass a law and eventually an amendment to our Constitution that will forbid anyone from repealing our First and Second Amendments, threatening severe and devastating consequences for those who try. Our freedoms may depend on it.
But if Trump does not win re-election, the clearly, we will have to formulate another strategy to defend our liberties, but under no circumstances should it ever be one of surrender and capitulation but the only strategy that should remain acceptable is one that that retains unmoving steadfastness and an undying determination to defend our God-given liberties, no matter the cost or what is required of us to do so and the reality we may have to be prepared to face is that if we are to have any hope of preserving what we have and to retake what has been stolen from us, blood is required; both our blood and the blood of our enemies, but we are not being called to pay any higher of a price for liberty than those before us who gave even their very lies so that we could be free and remain a free people and if those before us were willing to lay down their lives for the liberties that we have enjoyed, hold dear, and have even taken for granted, we owe future generations the same if so required of us.
Regardless of whatever happens, if we are as close to the end of the age as it appears that we may be, neither China nor Russia, even if either or both should invade any part of the U.S., will become the next dominant world power. If we read Ezekiel 38 and 39, we know what will put an end to Russia's imperialistic ambitions, but we don't know who or what will thwart China's. Regardless of whether or not Coverstone's visions of disaster come true, someone or something will also stop China from dominating the world and ground they gain, they will only be able to hold for a short time.
Civic Censorship
Another point of concern is that while I appreciate that there are alternative social media sites where conservative and Christian content are not subject to censorship, what needs to be discussed is how news outlets, blogsites, social media platforms, and websites can bypass government censorship. If the government should block a website, what can be done to bypass any attempt to do so. Is there any kind of technology that can enable anyone to override or bypass any attempts to block content? If there is, how do we acquire it. And if there is not, there should be. Don't think for a moment that there will not be a power who will not attempt to censor our content from the government level because one day, there will be, and we are going to have to be ready for that day. It is the one thing that seems to be largely missing from the discussion of censorship and how to counter censorship. We know how to bypass it on the private level. But what about the civic level? Should the day come that a power should arise that tries to silence us, there will be those of us who will try to access platforms like GAB or USA.LIFE or site like Answers In Genesis or OAN, only to find they've been blocked by the government unless means are acquired to override such attempts and the sooner we have these discussions about what can be done to counter any attempts by any governing authority.
We Have Conservative Alternatives To Twitter And Face Book, But We Also Need A Christian/Conservative Run Host Blogging Site As Well As A Conservative/Christian Rival To PayPal
On the private sector level, what also needs to be done is that there should be a Christian/Conservative alternative to Paypal and the Google-owned blogger. There are a lot of God-fearing and freedom loving people who continue to use Paypal, and like myself, use Blogger. But that is only because they feel there is only no other alternative with that fear of being censored still hanging over our heads and if indeed there was a Christian/Conservative alternative to both, just like there is to Twitter and Facebook, we would gladly move ourselves to those venues.
While there have been no known reports of Christians and Conservatives being censored by Blogger, it has been a desire of Contender's Edge to eventually upgrade to a more independent platform in case that does begin to happen.
The Nature Of That Age Long War
The conflicts, divisions, battles, and war we face is not economic, racial, or even political. It is a spiritual war that has been an age long war for the souls of men between the Lord God, who made Heaven and Earth and everything in them, and one of His creations who is a fallen angel named Lucifer, better known as Satan who, in his pride, attempted to make himself equal to our God for which cause he was cast out of his position, which was at the throne of our Lord (Is. 14:4-20) and after losing his position as Cherub (Ezek. 28:12-19),
led the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, from whom all of us are descended, into eating of a certain tree that they were told by God not to eat from lest they die (Gen. 2:16-17, and chapter 3). This tree was called the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and evil and upon partaking of that tree, sin came into the world and with sin came death as a consequence (Rom. 6:23). That corrupting nature, after having entered into Adam, then was inherited by all mankind and as a result, all sin in some fashion or another and therefore all die (Rom. 5:12) because we, due to that inherently corrupt nature, are unable to achieve that standard of moral perfection that the sinless and incorruptible God measures us against.
And though we have been given a law by the God who made us to govern our lives, we find ourselves unable to to keep that law and thereby stand condemned by it, for by this law we are judged, not by just our outward performance, but by what comes forth from our mouths, and by our very thoughts, intents, and motives of our heart.
Our sin affects more than we can comprehend. It is due to sin, that is, the sin of Adam, that the entire creation has been brought under a curse under which it groans and not just us alone (Rom. 8:19-22) and is thus the reason why for every kind and level of pain, grief, suffering, decay, and death and it is our inherently corrupted nature that causes us to fall short of that Divine standard of moral perfection by which we are measured (Rom. 3:23) for though we may try and desire to do that which is right and pleasing in the sight of our Maker, as we all should, because sin is ever in us and present with us, we fall short still in one way or another. It is why that we may be charitable to one person at one moment and then curse them the next for a cause not worth cursing them for, and that is enough to cause us to stand condemned before our Maker and bein danger of eternal punishment because unholiness cannot stand in the presence of holiness and the corruptible and the incorruptible cannot dwell together side by side because our sin causes a separation between us and our Maker, but because we were created by a God who is not only a God of justice, but also a God of love and mercy, our Creator, in His love for us and in His desire to reconcile Himself to mankind, sent His Son, Christ Jesus, to die upon a cross for all of our sins, and to be raised from the dead so that anyone placing their trust in Him alone for their salvation and the forgiveness of sins, would not perish in eternal punishment, but have everlasting life and forever dwell in the Kingdom of God.
There is today a war in our nation between two opposing ideologies and spirits; a war between the Judeo-Christian Spirit who brings peace to our spirits, reconciles us to our Maker, forgives the sins of all who call upon Him for forgiveness, in whose eyes all people are created equal, who instills meaning and purpose into every life, who brings order to our lives and who has inspired the very liberties that we hold dear and enshrined in our Constitution which was made the highest law in our land, and a dark spirit of hate, oppression, death, and disorder which seeks to enslave and hold captive as many as it can by hindering the preaching of the Word of God which delivers that very saving truth which, if received, brings that transformation of the the soul and contains for those precepts upon which a life of liberty, order, and meaning are built.
But there is a wicked spirit in this world that would seek to strip us of a life of order by bringing chaos, to take from us a life of liberty by instituting laws without end, and impose on us a life without meaning by attempting to crush our God-given dreams and sense of purpose.
But the only way that we can best defeat this spirit of darkness is by a move of the Spirit of light who calls upon us to turn away from our sins and to be free from the darkness that seeks to enslave and destroy, and to embrace the Savior who gave His life and rose from the grave so that we might be redeemed if we will only place our trust in Him for forgiveness, and to abide in His truth.
This age long war manifests itself in many forms and not just on a field of battle with military might, but also the realm of academia, the political arena, and the entertainment industry; in any sector of society that has a hand in shaping the course of a society. But the battle must also be fought inside the Church as well because falsehood and all things contrary to the Christ upon whom the Church is built have run rampant, its members are being made to doubt the authority of scripture and therefore are made to doubt and eventually lose faith in the Gospel in which they profess to place their trust due to challenging arguments to which many are not prepared to refute and because they are ill equipped to give as reasonable of an answer to any questions asked pertaining to the faith.
We value the favor of men above that of God when we should prefer the favor of God who from whom the final reward or sentence will be given over that of men who will judged of God and in the name of tolerance we fail to hold our members accountable for conduct contrary to how scripture instructs us to live and thereby bring needless shame and ridicule upon the name of the Christ we profess to follow, we refuse to confront false doctrines brought into our midst and preserve the truth that was delivered to us by our Lord through the Holy Scriptures given by inspiration of God and instead of condemning and exposing the wickedness of this dark world, we instead tolerate and affirm it.
And instead of relying on the sufficiency of scripture for our doctrine and allowing it to speak for itself and being its own interpreter, we have been deceived into thinking that scripture is not good enough for all the doctrine that we need or that there is some hidden meaning not displayed in the text and therefore we have placed our trust in those seemingly more enlightened than the rest of us to tell us what the scriptures teach rather than measuring their doctrine against the plain sense meaning of the text. In some cases, those teachers and Pastors in whom we have placed our trust do not even teach the Bible at all and then there are also those who will take out of context and pervert the scriptures to make them out to teach something that they do not and thus lead many astray into many false doctrines. All of this has caused the light within the Church that is to shine brightly to be ever so dim.
But how much falsehood and corruption would we see expunged from our members if we in Christ would all sincerely resolve ourselves to be the most obedient, steadfast, determined, vigilant, diligent, faithful, courageous servants and followers of Christ that we can be, dedicating ourselves to abide in nothing more than the truth that He has revealed to us and to stand upon the authority of the divinely inspired scriptures by which the Gospel is delivered, and commit ourselves to calling as many of the lost to Christ as we can and raising them up also to be the best servants of our Lord that they can be, and expose and hold accountable those who persist in preaching those things contrary to scripture, undermine confidence in its authority, whose lives do not reflect the faith they profess, and who misrepresent that which we believe in.
Only then, will we be able to be the light to the world that Christ made us to be. Only then will His light be able to shine best through us and only then can we ever have the hope of that light shining throughout the nation at every level.
Washington DC is not the only place from which the swamp needs to be drained. It is also in the Church as well and crept inside the Church before it found its way into the halls of DC and if we would have any hope of keeping the swamp drained from our government, we need to keep the Church drained of it as well.
What spirit we align ourselves is always going to determine the course and nature of our society: How education is taught, how news is reported, what our entertainment industry affirms, and the nature of our politics is always determined by a core set of fundamental beliefs and the most foundational happen to be spiritual upon which are built the values that govern the course of our lives and which are implemented throughout every part of our society.
Man ultimately has to make a choice with whom he will side. With the Father of Lights or the father of darkness. There will be those who will side with their Maker, turn from their sins and call upon the name of Jesus our Lord to be saved from eternal torment and who will faithfully serve and obey Him, honor Him with their lives, and do that which is right and pleasing in His sight, but there will also be those who will side with the lord of darkness because they love their sin too much and rather than repent of their sins, would rather align themselves with the forces of darkness.
We are not at war against something that is of flesh and blood but we are at war with unseen forces whose tentacles have inspired wicked and destructive movements and have infiltrated even movements and institutions that we see as being respectable, attempting to twist them into something corrupt and evil, and while the battles may manifest themselves in political, religious, military, and philosophical conflict, the adversary that we face is a tempter, liar, deceiver, manipulator, infiltrator, murderer, and a destroyer filled with hate. His attacks are not always overt, but very subtle and what he cannot destroy, he will twist, corrupt, and pervert so that can no longer serve the intended purpose for which it was created. And just as he comes disguised as an angel of light, so his followers can also make themselves appear to be benevolent and their ability to blend in can be such that their wicked intents may not even be detected or made manifest to even the most discerning of us for even many years.
And the way we fight this enemy is that we fight his lies with truth, his manipulations with discernment and discretion, his attempts at infiltrating the ranks of institutions and movements founded upon principled and godly principles with accountability, ungodliness with godliness, the hate he instills in men with the love of God, the fear he attempts to instill in us with a faith that produces unwavering courage, and the temptations he brings with resistance. That is how we fight this enemy.
But if we are to have any hope of turning the tide of evil, it must begin within the Church before it can begin elsewhere. My prayer is that in that the complacency of the saints would be replaced with vigilance, cowardice with unrelenting courage in the face of overwhelming odds and opposition, laziness with diligence in our service to Christ, apathy with an undying zeal and devotion, the harboring of sin with obedience, and the adherence to false to false doctrines with abiding in the truth of God's Word and exchanging trust in fallible authority with a firm trust in the incorruptible authority of the divinely inspired scriptures.
Our prayers should also be that as the eyes of many are being made open to the darkness and wickedness around them, that they will throw themselves before our Lord and give themselves over to Him and side with the God of light against the forces of darkness and for those in power to be persuaded to do those thing that are right and good in the sight of the Lord and that in His grace and mercy appeal to whatever remains left to appeal to in the hearts and minds of the electorate that might still persuade them to continue placing and retaining in power as many God-fearing and principled leaders as can be found, but also to prepare us in case hearts are too hardened to choose the godly and principled leadership we need for this nation.
Also we need to pray for President Trump in that he, without fail, will be able to achieve all the good things that have been placed in his heart and that he, along with his household, will be protected from all harm.
Never in recent memory has a President ever suffered from such hostility and hatred as this man, though it is not so much the man himself who is hated, as it is of that which he has come to represent and those things that he has come to represent are enabling the Word of God to have free course throughout our land right now, but many within the Church are not taking advantage of the freedom and liberty that we have to preach the Gospel and to teach His Word without hindrance from our governing authorities.
Around the world and in nations where the Word of God is not given the free-course and in past times and in places where no such freedom existed, men risked their lives and everything they had in order that others may be able to receive that good news that assures them of eternal salvation granting them access into the Kingdom of Heaven if they will receive it and a transformed life filled with purpose for it is with the liberation of the spirit that true freedom begins.
But the forces of darkness would do all that they can to silence that liberating Gospel in order to hold captive the souls of men in order to lead them into eternal torment and permanent separation from their Maker.
It was in the beginning that the adversary of our souls who, through empty promises and deceit, (Gen. 3) led man into spiritual bondage which resulted in the corruption of our nature which has brought death to us all and as a consequence, has tainted, and marred the rest of creation with a curse that has brought all suffering and wickedness that there ever could be; a departure from that perfect design in desired and established by our Creator, but by Christ, the entire world will be redeemed starting with our souls through the forgiveness of sins offered to anyone placing their trust in the Savior for that redemption, the eventual redemption of our bodies from death, (1 Cor. 15:51-55, 1 Thess. 4:13-18) and the entire creation itself. (Rev. 21-22)
And if any of you would like to be a part of this new world to come and to have peace about where you will spend eternity when pass from this life to the next, I would urge you now to turn away from your sins and call upon the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins, trusting only in Him for eternal salvation. But apart from Christ remains only eternal darkness and torment; a fearful judgment which awaits those who refuse His offer of forgiveness and salvation.
Therefore, choose the light of Christ over darkness and call on the name of Christ today. If you are not sure what to say, here is an example that might help you:

who has fallen short of the glory of God
and that my goodness falls short
of His standard of Moral perfection.
Please forgive me of all of my sins.

Know that God is not concerned with the words that you use to call upon Him forgiveness, but with the attitude of your heart and if you have, with all sincerity, have asked Christ to forgive you of your sins, placing your trust in Him only for your salvation and in nothing else, then your sins are forgiven and your place in Heaven is certain.

The following from Christian Answers.Net presents an informative article on the different views of the that passage, but Contender’s Edge must dissent from the position and view espoused by Christian Answers.Net that the Apostle Paul was not referring to polygamy when he required that the leaders within their respective congregations were to be “the husband of one wife.”
The view that Paul was not talking about polygamy is based upon an extra-biblical historical standpoint, but when there is a conflict between scripture and historical opinion, the Bible is right and the historians are wrong. Based upon the context of that passage, polygamy must have been more widespread throughout the Greco-Roman culture than what is presently revealed by historical and archeological evidence and it is just that history has yet to catch up with scripture.
Other views that have been espoused is that Paul forbade divorced persons from serving in a leadership role or that they had to be married, but again, the context of the passage does not, in any sense support those views either. A divorced person, depending upon the circumstances of that divorce, is not necessarily disqualified from serving in a position of leadership and neither do they necessarily have to be married although there may be prudence in electing married persons for leadership.
Based upon the context of the passage alone, the Contender’s Edge position is that leaders in the Church should not be polygamous, period. The Bible means what it says and says what it means, no matter what spin is placed upon it. While Contender's Edge does agree with what much of what Christian Answers.net says, this is one area where I must respectfully disagree with them.

The proposal of Sauropods walking on only their two front feet was based on the study of trackway formations supposedly indicating bipedalism in which it is being claimed only forefoot impressions appeared to have been made. Read more
If anyone has ever taken time to study Sauropod skeletal displays, there is no possible way, judging by their structure, that the animals would have been able to walk only on their two front legs. Can anyone picture in their mind an animal like Brachiosaurus or Diplodocus walking only on its front legs? Elephants can be trained to raise themselves up on their forelegs for circus acts which is why I do not see how anyone can take this systematic rubbish seriously.
The preservation of tracks is only possible if the track impressions are made in a soft substance such as mud or clay and then dried before the tracks disappear which requires the ground in which the tracks were made to dry and harden quickly.
It would be impossible for foot prints to abide a long period of time unless the conditions needed for their preservation happened at a rapid pace, yet at the same time, ongoing flooding would destroy any impressions and foot prints that are formed which means the preservation of trackways is only possible post-flood if the tracks are made while the ground is still soft and wet and then dries and hardens quickly.
If the trackways in question reflect bipedalism more than they do quadrupedalsim, then the reasonable conclusion should be that the tracks do not belong Sauropods but to another kind of animal, possibly a prosauropod species such as a Plateosaurus which were believed to be primarily bipedal. But that is not the case with the Darwinist fools who call themselves scientists who would rather resort to preposterous notions of Sauropods doing what could only be compared to elephants doing a sideshow performance.

Christians desire social change in Egypt but it will require relentless courage and self-sacrifice in order to make that possible. Not meaning to sound cruel, but beneficial changes, even for the Church, was never produced from cowardice and hiding one's faith in Christ, but came forth from acts of steadfast faith and unrelenting courage. No polite way of saying that.
Pray, as well as for fellow saints throughout the world, that the Christians in Egypt will value the favor of God above the favor of men, and the heavenly rewards above any earthly gain, and that they will have instilled in them the unwavering faith and steadfast courage needed to be the light for Christ that they should.
