One Prayer From Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 25

 

Contender’s Edge, through July 4^th will be sharing each day a prayer, on behalf of our nation, from a representative from each of our fifty states.  The event began on May 15^th and will end July 4^th.

One Prayer From Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 25
 
 
Kenny Qualls, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Arnold, Missouri:
 
 
 
 
“Hi, I’m Kenny Qualls, the senior pastor at First Baptist Church Arnold, which is in the St. Louis metro area of the great state of Missouri. Let’s pray.
 
Well, Lord, Your Word says in Psalm 107, let the redeemed of the Lord say so. And, God, we just have to say so. We thank You for 250 years as a free people and a nation. And, our Lord, it’s because of You and Your grace and Your goodness to us.
 
But, God, on this day, we long, long for this nation to turn to You for Your glory. Jesus, You alone are the way, the truth, and the life. There’s no hope outside of You. God, we lift up our national leaders. We lift up our leaders and the citizens here in Missouri. We lift up our local leaders in our own towns. And, God, how we pray that they would seek You, and submit to Your Word, and know You and follow You with all their heart.
 
Lord, Your Word says in Psalm 85, would You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You? How we pray a great revival would sweep Your church that would lead to an incredible spiritual awakening, Jesus, of people turning to You and the free gift that’s offered in Your Gospel. Lord, You’ve called us to be salt, and You’ve called us to be light, and, God, we pray that we would do that in the spirit of Your holy power.
 
So, Lord, we thank You today. We thank You that we can pray. We thank You that we can come to You through the Name of Jesus. And, God, we join our hearts, lifting up the United States of America, that, Lord, there would be a great, great change and a great turning to You.
 
We thank You for Your goodness, and we thank You most of all that in You, we’re citizens of Heaven. We pray all this in Jesus’ Name, amen.”
