One Prayer From Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 26

Contender’s Edge, through July 4^th will be sharing each day a prayer, on behalf of our nation, from a representative from each of our fifty states.  The event began on May 15^th and will end July 4^th.

One Prayer From Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 26
 
 
Levi Lusko, Pastor of Fresh Life Church in Kalispell, Montana:
 
 
 
 “Hi, my name is Levi Lusko. I’m coming to you from the great state of Montana. We call it the Treasure State, and we’re so grateful to have so many mountains and national parks and such a place of beauty. And it’s my honor to get to pray. And I want to specifically focus our prayer in this moment around John 10:10, where it says that Jesus comes to bring life and life more abundantly, and that the thief comes to steal and to kill and to destroy.
 
And I want to specifically pray, and I’m going to ask you to pray with me, joining your faith with mine as we agree for God to save all those from the plight of suicide which the enemy, the thief, wants to make people feel like there’s no point to live life. And so, God, we thank You—this occasion, this 250th birthday of this great country.
 
We thank You for Your life and life more abundantly that You’ve come to bring. And we know that the thief, the enemy, wants to steal and kill and destroy. He wants to rob a generation of the impact they’re meant to have by causing them to feel despair and hopelessness, and there’s no point to living life. And so we ask that You would, specifically for the young people that this often comes against, God, that this would be something that would not work, and that You would open up eyes to see hope and life in the mighty Name of Jesus.
 
We pray for a great awakening to the reality of life in Christ. And we pray this in Jesus’ mighty Name, amen.”
