One Prayer From Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 36

 


Contender’s Edge, through July 4^th will be sharing each day a prayer, on behalf of our nation, from a representative from each of our fifty states.  The event began on May 15^th and will end July 4^th.

One Prayer From Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 36

Jeremy Freeman, Pastor of First Baptist Church Newcastle in Newcastle, Oklahoma:
 
 
 
“I’m Jeremy Freeman. I live in the great state of Oklahoma, the Sooner State. I pastor First Baptist Church of Newcastle, Oklahoma, and I’m at kids camp, so forgive the casual attire, but I want to ask you to join me in praying for the next generation.
 
Father, we come before You this great day, and we continue to ask for Your blessing, God, over our country. We pray for pastors and churches and leaders—all those who are making decisions, Father, about reaching those, Father, who are far from You.
 
We pray for the next generation. We know, Father, the hope of this country is in the hands of those we’re passing the Gospel off to. So we pray, Father, that churches would be intentional about reaching their communities—into the school districts—Father, that pastors and leaders and all those making such important decisions would do so with the next generation in mind.
 
Help us to be intentional about, God, standing firm on Your Word, preaching a faithful Gospel, Father, training up young people in the Gospel so they can go and live lives that’ll make a difference for You.
 
Thank You, Father, for all You’re doing. We pray for Your grace and mercy upon us. We ask all this in Jesus’ Name. Amen. God bless you.”
