One Prayer From Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 31

 


Contender’s Edge, through July 4^th will be sharing each day a prayer, on behalf of our nation, from a representative from each of our fifty states.  The event began on May 15^th and will end July 4^th.

One Prayer From Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 31

Skip Heitzig, Pastor of Calvary Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico:

 
 
 
“Hi, this is Skip Heitzig in the beautiful Land of Enchantment, New Mexico. It’s my honor to offer a prayer today for our country and for our unique form of government in three branches. Specifically,
 
I would like to lift up the Supreme Court justices of this nation. They need wisdom, and they need God’s wisdom. And so, let’s pray.
 
Lord, we ask for You to give Your wisdom to them and that they would lean on Your wisdom. We pray that they would make decisions that are based upon Your precepts, Your laws, on which our country’s laws were based. And we ask that You would direct their choices, as well as protect them from influences that do not honor You.
 
Father, our country is facing division like never before. We pray that we would again be a people who pledge a united allegiance for the common good of our great country—a nation, as we say, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
 
Father, we’re facing a spiritual battle, and we’re sensing that You are rallying Your people together to come in prayer, to worship in spirit and in truth, and to stand against all of the schemes of our spiritual enemy.
 
Lord, turn us back to You. Bring revival across this country and a renewed passion to Your people that they may share Your truth and bring many more into the fold of the knowledge of Your saving grace. Please, fortify us to be worthy to be called by Your Name.
 
And it’s in the mighty Name of Your Son, our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, that we pray these things. Amen.”
