Contender’s Edge, through July 4^th will be sharing each day a prayer, on behalf of our nation, from a representative from each of our fifty states.  The event began on May 15^th and will end July 4^th.

One Prayer From Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 39
 
 
 
Ron Termale, Pastor of Legacy Church in Warwick, Rhode Island:
 
 
 
“Hello everyone, my name is Ron Termale. I’m the pastor of Legacy Church RI here in Rhode Island, the Ocean State, and we are praying for our nation, celebrating 250 years of our nation’s history.
 
And I’m reminded of a Scripture—I’m sure many of you know this Scripture—in 1 Timothy 2, the Bible says, “I urge you then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of truth.”
 
So, Father, we pray in Jesus’ Name. Lord, we pray for this nation. We pray for America, Lord. God, we pray, God, that You stir up, Lord, the fires of revival, Lord, in every aspect of our society, beginning, Lord God, in our churches and, Lord, spreading out, Lord God, like wildfire to our communities and to all those in leadership. Father, we pray, God, for the leaders of America. We pray for our government. We pray for our government leaders. We pray, Lord, for leaders in the school systems, Lord, in corporate America, God, we pray for leadership in our homes, Lord. We pray, Holy Spirit, that You’d visit us.
 
Let us come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, Lord, every man, woman, and child, Lord. Let this be a time where we return to Jesus, and we return to the house of God. And, Lord, we pray for revival to touch every church, God. Bless every church, God. Bless every pastor, God. Bless every person, Lord God, God, that is connected to Your church, God. Use us all, Lord, to bring revival to this country. And, Father, we thank You, Lord God, for America. We thank You, Lord, that You established this nation on Jesus Christ, and we pray, God, reestablish it, Lord, on the truth of Jesus Christ.
 
And we thank You, Lord, for what You are doing and what You’re going to do in this nation. In Jesus’ Name, amen and amen.”
