One Prayer From Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 41

 


 
Contender’s Edge, through July 4^th will be sharing each day a prayer, on behalf of our nation, from a representative from each of our fifty states.  The event began on May 15^th and will end July 4^th.

One Prayer From Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 41
 
 
Fay Garreau, Pastor of Calvary Chapel in Dupree, South Dakota:
 
 
 
“Hello, I am Pastor Fay Garreau. I am a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe located in South Dakota and a military veteran.
 
As our country prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, I invite you to join me as I would pray for Native Americans across this nation. Join me, please.
 
Lord, we come before the very throne of grace. And Father, we thank You as Your message has been sent out across this nation, that many Native Americans have placed their faith and trust in You, whose lives have been restored and healed.
 
But Father, within our country, there are many who are still walking in darkness, who have been overtaken by life’s circumstances, who need Your grace, who need Your forgiveness.
 
Father, for those who walk in darkness, Father, You have sent Your message to open the eyes, to turn people from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness and an inheritance among those who are being saved through our Lord Jesus Christ.
 
Father, we ask that You would reach out and answer the cries of those who are suffering, that they too may be able to enjoy forgiveness, new life, and peace, that they may and be able to enjoy the blessings that You have bestowed upon so many already.
 
We can’t do this alone. But we ask, Father, that by Your Holy Spirit, that You would touch their lives and answer their prayers for new lives. For we ask this in Jesus’ Name, amen.
 
And thank you for praying with me. God bless America, and God bless the Native Americans. Thank you.”
