One Prayer From Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 44

 


Contender’s Edge, through July 4^th will be sharing each day a prayer, on behalf of our nation, from a representative from each of our fifty states.  The event began on May 15^th and will end July 4^th.

One Prayer From Each State For Our Nation For Fifty Days: Day 44
 
 
Bill Young, Pastor of The Rock Church in Draper, Utah:
 
 
 
“Hi, I’m Pastor Bill Young from the Salt Lake City area in Utah. Would you pray with me for our military?
 
Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up the men and women who are serving in our military. Lord, we thank You for them. We are deeply grateful for their courage and their sacrifice and their willingness to serve our country.
 
And we ask, according to Your Word in Psalm 121, that You would watch over them, that You would keep them from harm and guard their lives. Protect them, Lord, in body, mind, and spirit. Be their shield in every situation they would face.
 
And Father, we ask that You would encourage their hearts. Many are far from home, separated from loved ones. They’re carrying weight that we can’t even comprehend. Remind them that they’re not alone, that You are with them, watching over them, and You’re going to be with them now and forevermore.
 
So please, Lord, surround them with Your peace, strengthen them with Your presence, and draw them close to You.
 
We ask all of this in Jesus’ precious Name, amen. Amen. Thank you for praying.”
