Contender’s Edge, through July 4^th will be sharing each day a prayer, on behalf of our nation, from a representative from each of our fifty states.  The event began on May 15^th and will end July 4^th.

Alec Rowlands, Pastor of Westgate Chapel in Edmonds, Washington:
 
 
 
“My name is Alec Rowlands, pastor of Westgate Chapel in Edmonds, Washington, and it’s my privilege to represent the state of Washington for this time of intercession on behalf of our nation.
 
When French philosopher Alexis de Tocqueville visited this nation when it was barely 80 years old, he concluded that its greatness was not in its agriculture, its industry, or even its government, but rather that the greatness of America lay in churches, that he said were ablaze with righteousness. So I want to pray for America’s greatest need: revival in the church of Jesus.
 
Father, we ask right now in the powerful Name of Jesus, that You would touch Your church in this nation, as we approach our 250th anniversary.
 
Would You ignite a flame of righteousness from the pulpits and in the congregations of the churches of this land, so that—once again—Your church would be salt and light in this great nation?
 
We ask these things in the Name of Jesus. Amen.”
